The Elvis movie has a scene where Elvis realizes how much Colonel Tom lied to him and confronts him (which never happened in real life the firing was based on something else) anyways, it's the hardest thing I've ever seen and the best thing Luhrman ever directed.

#legit i cried during the film #and not just because the film incidently took me through the deaths of several relatives i never got too meet #and simultaneously deconstructed the lifestyle my father idolized that ultimately left him financially crippled and physically disabled #the protrayal of a man who is so close to escaping the self destructive cycle he's in and finally becoming lucid after years #of a drug induced haze #just to be pulled back in by a slapp suit from the same bloodsucking parasite who put him in that state to begin with #fuck im crying again #anyways if you cant tell elvis is a very important figure in my life
