One of the few pleasures in Ty’s life was making sure that somehow, some way, a little bit of Daniel Mickey’s life felt really unpleasant. It seemed the least that Tyler could provide the man. Besides, how else would he use all the genius and completely petty ideas he came up with when lying awake and in pain at night?  His latest one was totally hilarious, but definitely not something he could do by himself.
“Jack Summer!” He said with a big smile, putting a cup of coffee in front of the younger boy. Hopefully the IT kid was as down for mischief as rumors lead him to believe. “I have coffee and a proposition. The job kind not the sex kind, we’re in public that’d be naughty.”

🍷 - were you a capri sun or cool aid kid?
“I liked capri sun better, kool aid only put some color and flavor to water.”

💝 - what’s the best gift you’ve received?
“We didn’t have too much money, and mom knew I wanted a Big Wheel so bad, so she started saving part of her tips to buy me one for my fifth birthday.”

“Hey, Jack.” Daniel called him over, gesturing for him to come to his desk. He was in serious need of IT help. He hadn’t noticed the emails at first. If he logged into his email, it was with a purpose. He’d push those random emails to the side and continue with whatever task he’d set out to complete. But they began to pile up in his inbox, making it harder and harder to find important emails. When Jack walked over to his desk, Daniel pulled up his email. “I’ve been getting all of these spam emails. How do I stop it?” He moved his mouse up and down across his inbox.

Wendy smiled to herself as she walked out of Gingerbread Cafe with a the largest cup of coffee that she could get to go. She had a few designs she wanted to finish and if she got at least two then she was going to reward herself with a night out but her Etsy shop did come first. It was her baby. Her pride and joy. She was so lost in thoughts of her shops and her unfinished pieces that she almost ran into a body which she would have sword had magically appeared before her but she knew she was just lost in her own thoughts. “Sorry!” She cried as she managed to step out of their way before they could really run into each other and one - if not both - of them landed with a steaming cup of coffee over them. “At least we didn’t have a complete run in-” she trailed off as she realized who she had accidentally almost run into. Jack. Jack Summer.

“Jack Jack?” she chuckled as she slowed her pace to a halt. She was training for a half marathon over the course of the last month. Isabel had normally taken the trails towards the woods to max out her training, but with that being off limits plus the mist lingering in Underland, her normative routine had become interrupted. The Dumas had collected a nice assortment of running buddies during her training, one of them being Jack. She met him when thanking Brandon at the precinct a while back and had appreciated the kind conversation held with them. He’d been nothing more than like a brother to her and was always a fun soul to be around. “If I had known you were out running today, I would have joined you. How’ve you been?” @jxcksummer

Settling down an empty glass of wine in front of her, Melissa traced the raised text of the card. The other attendees at the table were too preoccupied getting drunk themselves to notice her wavering focus. She had just finished with the 'e' in raffle when the waiter returned to give her the third glass of wine for the evening. She gave him the tip she had wrestled out of her wallet earlier when everything hadn't felt so removed, and proceeded to resume her tracing. Melissa had just gotten started with the second 'n' in winners when an unbelievably chipper voice picked up over the speakers.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the raffle winners are about to be announced.”
The raffle. She looked down at her raffle number. She’d forgotten to put hers into the drawing when she arrived. Or maybe she hadn’t wanted to. She can’t remember. She took another sip of her wine and just stared at the numbered paper, thinking that it would end up in a box somewhere after this – crumpled up and forgotten.
Her eyes tried to focus on the stage, where a blonde in a long black dress approached the mic. She greeted the guests with such a big, bright smile, Melissa wondered whether her face hurt and considered covering her eyes. But she didn’t, because the blonde is like flashing light, twirling on the stage like Vanna White – captivating in a way that wouldn’t let her look away.
The woman sauntered over to the large glass bowl that sat on a stand, filled to the brim with papers of hopeful individuals looking to win some coveted item or experience or another. Melissa looked around the ballroom again, eyes sluggishly trailing over the evening gowns and tuxedos and crystal chandeliers. She wondered at how much this all cost them. How much they were shelling out in the name of charity? She was skeptical (she always was), of how much of the funds raised would actually find its way to the right people. She supposed it didn’t matter; not if people won something out of it, right?
Dragging her gaze back to the stage, she watched as the woman picked out a piece paper from the bowl, unfolding it and speaking cheerily into the microphone, “and our first winner of the night is ––”
