Alright everyone! So while I’m waiting for my #xwingminiatures to arrive I decided to design and #lasercut these #warhammer40kkillteam counters. Counts the round, final score for each side up to 20, and charge points up to 12. I cut this one out of #acrylic because I’ve been wanting to test cutting acrylic. Lol as you can see the arrows are held in place by screws so the arrows won’t go spinning on their own if picked up and handled. XD with this done there is sure to be more tokens and other do-dads that I’ll share using my #k40laser 👍🏽 PS: I haven’t given up designing my own custom nendos or anything like that. I’ve just been busy getting all my equipment running smoothly. Oh and getting my 3rd resin printer up and running. Orz if all goes well they’ll all be dedicated to printing in one area. Like one printer will be for dnd minis, the other will handle larger prints for my custom figures, and the final one will be dedicated to more intricate and small pieces with the possibility of doing minis and prototypes. We had a promising start to the day but then this happened... It doesn't look like much, but this fray in a tiny rubbery belt means that the laser cutter won't work properly. Which means I can't continue with orders. It can also mean that the cutter continues burning without movement and can, and has in the past, started fires within the machine which can spread in seconds. I've learnt from my mistakes and I've been lucky with each one that I've learnt quickly and with little damage. I NEVER move away from the machine while it's on. Luckily I caught this as soon as it happened, and we always have a spare in because it does happen from time to time. It's taken a chunk of the morning but it's fixed and we're back to making orders. But it just shows how on the ball I have to be with this delicate, scary equipment. So i got a new adjustable head from american photonics and needed to lower the bed to use the adjustability of it so instead of lowering the bed permanently i made my own version of an adjustable bed simular to what you find on 3D printers. So. A little update on what I’ve been up to. I’ve been busy fulfilling orders from my Etsy shop but I’m finally caught up. 🎉 XD and now that I’m caught up I’ve been testing out my new #k40laser cutter that I bought off a friend that had tons of upgrades on it so it was fairly easy to get up and running. X3 my friends sons bdays were recent so I made them these little door signs with a little personal touch for each. C: I was also able to engrave a drawing that @gwendlyn.artist did and she gave me permission to try it out with one of her drawings that she had made. It came out pretty well for the first try. X3 I’m hoping to get it dialed in and start offering some laser cut items on my Etsy shop soon. C: and I’m still working on sculpting figures, designing boxes, and keeping myself busy.
