Izana and Kakucho as The Tower tarot card

The Tower means destruction both physical and spiritual, hopeless defeat, desolation and despair. This card appears when a person suffers an inevitable collapse caused by their inability to learn a life lesson or ruin a malevolent pattern that followed them for a long time.

Personal note: initially I wanted to dedicate this card to Izana, because to me his life was an embodiment of The Tower, miserable from A to Z. But in the end Kakucho is here too because he cultivated a loss of will to live in himself. The Tower here is the Tenjiku kingdom that was bound to fall from the start, because hurt and misguided people created it. Tenjiku meets its end (the burning sunset) even as a childhood dream. Izana who created it just didn’t have spiritual power to see better options for himself so he only sees a snow tower melting sans noticing that spring is coming to bring new life.
