Chapter Two:

I managed to get caught up on what needed to be done, I had to charge my laptop at home so I could bring it with me, I preferred typing rather than writing. The bell rang, I stood up from my seat and gathered my things. I left the chair pushed out as I walked down the alley, I could hear the comments as I passed by. Somewhere good, some were negative, and some were neutral.

"How can you be short and fat at the same time?" I could not understand that stupid question, I knew a comment like that was coming, "Mochi, stop being rude. You are not the sharpest tool in the shed but have the nerve to talk about someone's weight? Get a life" I gave the girl props for defending me but was I going to talk to her? Most likely not.

I made my way up the stairs of the classroom "she got a nice ass though" I rolled my eyes but to my surprise, a deep voice that really sent shivers down my spine spoke, "dude, shut the fuck up." I slightly looked back; it was the male from outside. I let out a soft sigh, luckily, the students who had this class next were coming in which gave me the chance to get away from them. I looked out my schedule to find my pediatrician class, I was lucky to only have the English class, my psychology class, and my pediatrician class. I was looking forward to going home.

I was a bit puzzled by the fact that there were fourth years in the honors English class. It was good that people wanted to study English arts and get better at it but as for me? This was just an extra class since I needed to take at least 3 classes, but I had my two down packed, this was just a BS class to pass time in. I did not realize I had stopped in the middle of the steps while looking at the schedule.

"Uh, are you lost?" I whipped my head around to see the male who defended me against Mochi standing behind me "uh..." I did not know what to say. I could smell the coconut and men's axe spray coming from his jacket, I cleared my throat "n-no I'm fine" I whispered a bit before walking down the steps, he smirked a bit "okay" was all he said walking by me. Okay, I was lost but I didn't want to ask him for help. I sighed "wait" I called out a bit, the male stopped on the first step going towards D hall "I...I'm...lost" A grin formed on his lips; his tongue grazed the bottom of it.

The male turned around walking up the steps "are you coming or not?" His voice was a bit serious; it was kind of hot. I slowly walked down the steps from A-B hall and then met him at the step he was on, I held my book to my chest as we walked at the same pace. The attention that seemed to be circling around me was overwhelming. Everyone was whispering to one another about us, it was obvious "what the fuck are you doing with her?" Mochi strolled beside us from the left of the hallway with the 7 guys from the classroom.

I cleared my throat "thanks" I said before leaving from the toxicity, I heard Mochi smirk behind me "fat bitch" I licked the top of my teeth before tilting my head back "that's not what your daddy said last night, looks like you better start calling me mommy" I pouted playfully, the mouths of his friends dropped. I flipped my hair off my shoulder before eying down at the schedule to see the exact room number, I gazed up to find myself in front of it. One thing I knew how to do was defend myself, but I also knew how to ignore it.

Entering the classroom, there were not many students. I was guessing that not too many people wanted to deal with children, or they just weren't kid people. "Oh my! You must be Rayne!" I looked down at the teacher with blonde hair, she gave me a tender yet welcoming smile "I-I am" The teacher let out a soft giggle as I took a seat, I believed all classes looked like lecture halls since this one looked the same as the class that I just came out of.

I crossed my legs and took out the notebook I was using to take down notes so I could transfer them to my computer when I got home, I was fortunate that I didn't have work today. I sighed a bit as I listened to miss Hagakure speak. She went over what we were doing in this class and what was expected of us for the next four years and to my guess, our class was going to be in the lab and the little clinic we have which was nice, I loved hands-on stuff.

Looking at the time, it was lunch. Half the class was spent by me trying to figure out what I wanted to eat but in the part of me that I didn't like, I was probably going to just read my book the whole time. The bell rang to be dismissed, "alright everyone, tomorrow we will be in the clinic!" as she was saying more, I made my way out of the classroom. I stretched my arms up before rubbing my lower back a little, having big breasts was a con in that aspect.

Taking out my book that I was almost done with, the chatter in the hallway got louder and louder by the second. I heard yelling from down the hall I was heading, it was only 12 pm and there was already shit happening. I didn't want to bother myself about it, but it was inevitable since my name was called.

"Rayne!" I eyed up at the sweet yet loud voice, it was the girl from this morning. Everyone around us was staring at what was going on, the girl happily ran to me which made me take a small step back "my name is Chiyo Hagakure! She was very cheerful; I'd be lying if I said she didn't remind me of Yuki which kind of set me back a bit.

It was like everyone was waiting for my response, she had to be a second year. I heaved a small sigh "s-sure" I whispered, Chiyo squealed happily as I walked towards her "oh, and don't mind mochi, he's just mad that someone as pretty as you are not giving him the time of day" My heart jumped in my chest at the compliment, I haven't heard someone be so genuine before. It was...scary but nice. Chiyo looked like a very bright person, she wore a sundress that was pink with Hawaiian flowers on it.

I was silent for a few seconds before Chiyo spoke again "so, what kind of classes are you taking- oh I'm a second year, I'm also 19, you're 18 right?" She sure did talk a lot, but I was happy with her bubbly personality "Y-Yes, I-I am...I'm...studying Pediatrics and Psychology" Chiyo smiled widely before twirling around "you're so cute! That's amazing Ray" Ray...I haven't heard that nickname in a very long time.

"I'm in chorus and dance, I enjoy music with a passion" So do I...Chiyo looked at me with a huge smile "you do?!" Opp. I puffed my cheeks with a small smile "I-I...I do" Chiyo twirled around happily "oh my goodness! I found my match! Oh- I have chorus class tomorrow so why don't we test those vocals?!" I blinked before jumping at someone putting their arm over my shoulder.

"I know what can test her vocals" I looked up to see a male who was above average height. He has long light hair swept to the right with the left side of his head shaved, revealing his temple tattoo extending down to his neck. He has a small scar on the leftmost side of his mouth and two piercings on both ears. I didn't realize we were in the café already; tables were filled with students who were enjoying this time "if you weren't so big id let you sit on my face but I kind of like my life" I scoffed shaking my head, I was disgusted by that.

I twisted his under arm making him hiss in pain and pull away "if how I look bothers you so much then stop coming near me, you're making yourself look like a total dumbass" I said with Chiyo smiling widely, the scarred-faced male had a pleased grin on his face. Rolling my eyes, I took a seat at the open table that wasn't too far from them. I pushed my glasses up with my index finger and began to read my book "Ray Sama, are you not going to eat?" I shook my head; she could tell what he said bothered me. I've heard worse but for some reason, it seemed to bother me more than anything right now.

"Go on, I'll be here" Chiyo gave me a happy nod before skipping to the line, I didn't know why she would try to talk to someone like me when it's only going to bring her trouble as well. "You've made quite the impression" I eyed the scarred-faced male who was sitting to my right, "if you're going to say something about my body then do it with your stupid entourage,"

  He seemed to be taken back by my boldness, I shifted my gaze back to my book. "Do you think everyone that approaches you is going to be like Mochi or Shion?" Pursing my lips together, a wave of annoyance washed over me "well, seeing that mochi or Shion have much to say about my body; I wouldn't put it past you to do the same. You know what they always say, you are who you hang out with. If you don't want to be bullied or talked about, stay far away from me as possible"

  I stood up and walked to the exit of the café. My heart was aching for some odd reason, it wasn't fair that innocent people had to be dragged down just for hanging out with me. It sucked. "Kakucho! What the hell happened!?" Chiyo shouted at him as I walked through the threshold, Kakucho...what an odd yet unique name. I found myself outside in front of the main building, the fountain was very pretty and seemed like a good place to just relax for the next half hour.

I sat there reading and listening to the other students gossiping about everything and anything, Shion's name was brought up the most which didn't surprise me one bit. It was amazing how everyone knew the second years but to them, that group was known as the heartbreaker group. Stupid name if you ask me. I didn't know what kind of guy Kakucho was, but he was persistent in an annoyingly sweet way, I just didn't want whatever reputation it was that he had going down just because he hung out with me.

I sighed a deep sigh as Kakucho took his place beside me "Kakucho Hitto" I closed my book; I knew I wasn't going to be able to finish it "is that your name or another language" Kakucho snorted up a laugh "it's my name" I nodded, Kakucho put his head back as his elbows rested on the back of the bench.

"Do you really care about what people think?" I knew this question was going to pop up sooner or later, sighing, I crossed my arms under my breasts "No, I do not" My answer was a lie, he knew it. I didn't understand why he was talking to me, to begin with, I sort of didn't mind it but at the same time, I didn't have time for the drama that came with this.

"I beg to differ since Mochi got under your skin earlier, I want to apologize for his stupidity" I rolled my eyes "no need, as I said, those are your friends" Kakucho scoffed while sitting up a bit, I looked at him with a perked eyebrow "what?" as much as I wanted to look at his tongue glide across his bottom lip, I kept my eyes up "you're the first female to keep a conversation with me"

Okay now that's sad, I thought. I cleared my throat "well if you can't keep a conversation with a woman then that sounds like a you problem now doesn't it Kakucho?" The deep yet loud laugh that came from him made my heart skip a beat, I never really interacted with anyone until now. Why did it have to be him out of all people? "you're funny Rayne but unfortunately, it's the ladies who can't keep one, they just want me because of the simple fact that I'm hot"

I scoffed while rolling my eyes "I think you're getting ahead of yourself" I said getting up, Kakucho stood up as well "am I?
