The two of you loved staying busy at Christmas, whether it be at home or out exploring too. The two of you tried to do as much as you could over the holidays and soak up as much of the festive spirit as possible too.

Hyunggu much preferred the giving of presents at Christmas rather than the receiving, the gift of being with his loved ones was all that he ever needed at Christmas, anything else was just a very lucky bonus for him.

The two of you tried to alternate where you spent Christmas each year so that you had an equal split of time with both of your families. Although you tried to spend it with Hyunggu’s family more because he spent less time with them, he always refused, not wanting to break the system and give you a Christmas away from your family.

Going on the ice was one of your favourite things to do together over Christmas, you would always make sure that you skated around together, if one of you was falling down, then the other one would fall down too. Nothing made Hyunggu more than being able to look around the room on Christmas Day and see many members of his family looking back at him. He was always so busy throughout the rest of the year; it was nice for him to be able to just sit back and absorb the company of his family for a little while over the holidays.

One of the things that Hyunggu adored about the holidays was seeing how much the kids in your family enjoyed it. The magic of Christmas was never something that Hyunggu completely let go of himself, but although he was an adult, he loved seeing how the magic of the holidays created the perfect time for the actual kids too.

Hyunggu loved just about everything to do with Christmas, it was very difficult to find something that he disliked about the holidays. Above all else he was thankful at Christmas, not just for his friends and family, but for everything else that he had too. The two of you would often stick a movie on in the background when you were busying yourselves around the house. You tended to be a little more reserved around the snow, wanting to get too cold or too messy, but Hyunggu would never let you stay that way, getting you involved in his games in no time at all.

It was a small tradition between the two of you, but each year you would make sure to take a photo together with the Christmas tree behind the two of you so that you could remember each of the holidays that you spent together.

Hyunggu is late, four hours late, to be exact. If it was someone else, you would have left after the first hour, but this is Hyunggu. Your best friend, someone who has never done something like this before. Of course, you were worried, but then he answered your text, he was caught in a meeting but promised to be there soon, two hours ago. You sigh, deciding to leave, even if he is finally on his way.

Nothing ever goes your way, of course, it is raining when you decide to leave, and of course, you did not bring an umbrella. Before your internal monologue of various swears directed at your friend can begin, the hood of his jacket is resting on your head.

"Y'N," he says breathily as if he as just run here, "I'm so sorry, I forgot about meeting you, and then the meeting got called."

"I should have texted you sooner."

"Are you mad at me?"

"Of course."

Hyunggu laughs: "I'll make it up to you tomorrow since it's late."

Kino woke with a start. It took a moment for your bedroom in your apartment to come into focus with the clock reading past midnight. He looked down and sighed out of relief when he saw you fast asleep on his chest. He had a dream about the day he finally had the courage to talk to you, but instead you disliked him.

He remembered the first time seeing you was at a café near the agency. You were working on your laptop with a cup of coffee and a half eaten pastry. He was with Hui picking up coffee for the rest of the members and Kino almost dropped some of them when he saw you.

Kino went the next day hoping you were still there in the same seat. To his surprise, you were. The third time he saw you at the café, they were having a promotion going on so every table was filled. You were at the only table that had one extra chair.

He was honestly expecting you to tell him that he couldn’t sit there, but you didn’t. Kino wasn’t sure if the butterflies he were feeling were from the sound of your voice or how perfect you looked up close.

You yawned and turned around, as your eyes met your boyfriend. Hyunggu was asleep, looking very peaceful. You felt the urge to run your fingers over his cheeks. You couldn’t believe such a guy was real - and yours.

Your breathing stopped as Hyunggu’s hand placed above yours. He moved your hand over to his mouth, as he kissed your hand.

“Why are you up?” He asked, turning to his side, so he was facing you (still holding your your hand in his).

You looked at him as you sighed. “I don’t know. It’s hard to sleep these days.”

His eyebrows furrowed together, as he seemed worried about you. “Is everything okay? At home as well?” He asked, holding the eye contact between you two. “It’s okay! Please don’t worry Hyunggu.” You smiled at your boyfriend, trying to make sure you sounded believable. Nothing was really wrong, you just, hands down, had a hard time falling asleep.

“We should go somewhere,” Hyunggu said. You followed him, as he got up and pulled a hoodie over his head. He also threw a hoodie to you, you quickly pulled over your body.

The two of you, hand in hand, listed out of dorm without trying to wake the others. Hyunggu was one of the few who knew you enjoyed big cities at night. Everything about cities during night times were magical; the lights, all the sounds you didn’t notice during the day, the empty streets.

You walked a few meters as you got into a empty train. “Where are we going?” You asked Hyunggu, as you learned your head down, reaching his shoulder. Just getting out of bed made you a little sleepy.

“I want you to show my favorite place. I always write music there and think as well. It’s so peaceful and beautiful even though it’s in the middle of the city.”

You had no idea how Hyunggu found this place, nor got both of you here. After getting out of the train, he went down a little street and then up of a lot of stairs. The place you ended was magical, though.

“This is amazing, Hyunggu. I’ve only seen these on pictures.” You looked around the small terrace. Two chairs and a table was placed there, and you could see some flowers in the dim light as well.

Hyunggu pulled you over to sit next to him in the chair. You couldn’t help but just stare at the city. 

“Just allow your thoughts to flow,” he said, once again kissing your hand. “Can you sing for me?” You asked, once again leaning your head against his shoulder. “You know how much I love Lonely.” 

Hyunggu smiled to himself, as he started to sing the lyrics with a low voice. It was so soothing, and the sight of your favorite city, made the whole scene even more perfect.

“Where is all my candy?” You yelled, rummaging through your now empty bag.

You had been prepping for Halloween all month long and had gotten a massive bag of candy you were planning on eating the night of. When you went to grab it though, you found it mostly gone, only a few of the gross confectionaries left.

“What candy?” Hyunggu yelled from the other room.

Sighing in frustration, you realized you’d have to head out to get some more. There was no way you were spending Halloween night without at least one piece of chocolate.

Walking into the bedroom, you were about to grab a change of clothes when you saw Hyunggu staring at you, eyes wide and his hands hidden behind his back.

You narrowed your eyes suspiciously at him and gestured to his hidden hands. “What have you got there babe?”

Hyunggu just smiled nervously and tried to back away. “Oh, nothing.”

You weren’t convinced and pounced towards him, trying to pull his hands from behind his back.

“Don’t come any closer! I’m a monster!” Hyunggu begged, but you paid no attention to his pleading and pulled his hands forward, gasping when saw all the candy wrappers he was hiding.

“Kang Hyunggu, so help me god, did you eat my candy?” Your boyfriend winced at the use of his full name but nodded guiltily.

You let out a sigh. “It’s alright, I forgive you.”

Hyunggu smiled his bright smile and let out a breath of relief, “Really?”

“No! You’re coming with me to the store right now to get more candy.”

He pouted, but nodded and pulled his jacket on. You changed your clothes quickly, eager to get whatever was left of the good candy, and headed out the door.

A short trip to the local corner store later and you came back to your apartment, both you and your boyfriend’s hands full with bags of candy.

“Did we really need to buy this much candy?” Hyunggu whined as he dropped the bag on the floor.

You elbowed him with your free arm and rolled your eyes when he let out a pathetic sound of pain.

“It’s not just for us, the trick or treaters will be here soon!” You reminded him. Your apartment complex was very Halloween friendly, and every year all of the tenants would hand out candy to the children who lived in the complex.

Hyunggu seemed to cheer up at that thought. He always liked handing out candy to the kids and made it an effort to compliment every costume.

You quickly opened one of the bags, stealing a couple of pieces for yourself before you poured the rest into a bowl. Hyunggu eagerly took doorbell duty while you laid on the couch, eating the first candy of many.

The night went on quickly, and soon enough Hyunggu was out of candy to pass out, and the children had stopped ringing your doorbell. Hyunggu had since joined you on the couch, a tired but content smile on his face.

You stuffed one last piece of chocolate in your mouth, and Hyunggu chuckled when you let out a pleased hum.

“You’re gonna have a candy hangover tomorrow,” he teased.

“Well maybe if someone hadn’t eaten all my candy I wouldn’t have been obligated to go buy more,” you sassed back.

“Babeeee I said I was sorry,” Hyunggu whined, pulling you into his lap. You snuggled into his chest and nodded.

“I know, I forgive you.” You squeezed him tightly, letting him know you weren’t joking this time.

“Good,” Hyunggu hummed, ripping open a wrapper and tossing the chocolate in his mouth.

“I love you,” you giggled.

“Babe, come on, it's time to wake up.” Kino said for the nth time today. He has been trying to get you out of bed for the last 15 minutes without success. You’ve been wide awake ever since he kissed you the first good morning kiss a good 10 minutes ago though but your body felt too lazy to get out of bed in the early morning just because he was giving you a few kisses, he’d had to work a bit harder if he really wanted you to open your eyes and get out of bed. “You promised you would wake up early and come with me to do some work out together.” He said, a cute pout appearing on his lips that made you giggle a little bit even though you couldn’t see it. “Oh! You’re awake! Come on, open your eyes already!” He whined, shaking your body and pouting a bit more in an attempt to soften your hard to convince mind. “What do I have to do to wake you up?” He said, already forbidden thoughts clouding his mind. Kino’s been locked in the studio since the early hours of dawn, and as much as you knew it was part of his work, you couldn’t help but cave into the urge to visit him at work, just to ensure that he’s looking after himself whilst he’s busy. Though, you knew him too well. He wouldn’t have eaten since leaving early this morning, the ideas of work controlling his ability to even think of anything else other than getting that one song done to complete the album that he’s been working on for days. 

On your way to the building, you notice a new bakery that was due to close fairly soon, interested in seeing if they by any chance had anything that you could pick up to surprise your boyfriend. With luck on your side, they had a few options, but all that you picked out had to be complimented with his favourite coffee, couldn’t go into a cafe without picking one up. 

“I really hope he likes these treats,” you mumble to yourself, clutching the goods close to your chest as you head towards the door of the CUBE building. 

It must’ve seemed like you were full of luck today, considering that a few of his members were in the lobby, quick to notice you approaching the door with full hands, Hui rushing towards the door, propping it open for you. 

With a soft smile, he nods at you, knowing exactly what you were about to ask, “He’s in studio 12, hasn’t come out of that room at all yet today,” he scoffs, amused by your eye roll. 

“Of course,” you huff in reply, “I could’ve never guessed, thank you Hui, see you in a bit!”.

Cutting the chit-chat short, you rush to the studio, using your elbow to open the door. Considering of how much noise you were making with slight cusses and sounds of trying to open the door, Kino was oblivious to it all, headphones blocking out any external sounds from behind him. Noticing a space on the table beside him, you carefully put down his food and coffee, wasting no time in throwing your arms around him, making him jump slightly. 

“Ya! What-” he bites bitterly, calming down instantly when he realises who’s around him, “Sorry baby girl... What are you doing here?” a look of confusion is received as you let loose of your grip around him, smiling sweetly, rushing to grab the treats and coffee off the table.

“I bought you these!!” you excited squeal, “I know you haven’t eaten since you left this morning, so you’re going to eat now, whilst im here,” you tell him, a hint of bossiness coming through and Kino raises an eyebrow.

“Thank you, baby, I’ll have those in a bit. I’m really busy,” he softly denies the treats, tapping the space on the desk for you to put them there. You do as he indicates but with a pout on your lips, “Kino, please eat now,” you beg lightly, his face dropping. 

Not only was it the way that you used his name, but he knew that you weren’t up for a debate, taking hold of the coffee as he takes a sip. He unintentionally keeps eye contact with you as he does so, picking up the panini that you’ve picked for him, and taking bites of it. The way he does this comes off as sarcastic but that really wasn’t his intention, he just wanted to make you happy watching him eat so you knew he had something. 

“Mind if I stay here until you finish? I’m a little lonely in the house,” you ask, bottom lip poking out as he nods reluctantly, “Sure, but I really do have to get this song done. I’ve worked on it long enough already,” he replies, cheeks filled with food. 

With toned-down excitement, you hop over to the couch, take a seat and pull out a book from your bag, “I won’t make a peep, I promise. You won’t even know I’m here,” you giggle, receiving the sweetest smile off him, rolling over on his chair to kiss your forehead tenderly and cupping your cheek before putting his attention back onto his work. 

Out of the corner of your eye, catching your attention and bringing it away from your book, you notice him pulling up his jumper sleeves. The way his hands rested on the desk and his fingers typing away on the keyboard in front of him, makes them tense up a little with every slight bit of movement, veins popping out. You didn’t realise how attractive his hands and arms were until that moment, appreciating the slightest bit of muscle flexing, probably a bit too much as you catch yourself biting your lip at the sight.  

Attempting to avert your attention away from this, you try to read over the line you’ve probably read 10 times over, but the inability to focus on continuing frustrates you. Kino has no idea what could possibly be going through your head at this moment and time, too focused on the software in front of him and his eyes glued to the screen. As you watch him out of the corner of your eye, he removes his headphones briefly, pushing his hair back, his arm tensing as he does so.

“Fuck...” you hiss to yourself. Shaking your head viciously to get rid of the intruding thoughts of having his fingers inside of you instead of tapping away on the keyboard in front of him. You were lucky that he didn’t catch your hiss, unknowing of the situation as he puts the headphones back on. 

Every time you looked over at him, you couldn’t help but let the lewd thoughts flood your mind, how you wished he gave oyu as much attention as he was doing for his work at the moment.
