Ancienne propriété du réputé antiquaire et décorateur Luciano Tempo, la Kasbah Tamadot est une demeure magique, acquise par Branson, après qu’il l’ait survolée depuis le ciel, lors d’une expédition en montgolfière. Sir Richard Branson a non seulement acheté le somptueux édifice, mais aussi tous les trésors accumulés par l’ancien propriétaire.  Ceux-ci furent bien sûr utilisés pour aménager le lieu truffé de coins et de recoins. En 2005, Branson a ainsi réalisé le rêve des parents : créer un lieu de dépaysement et de relaxation en pleine nature, dans une ambiance marocaine authentique.
