i know i said the existence of the kauls' kids + partners is negligible on this blog most of the time but the one exception is nikoyan, who will always exist so long as i'm not writing something set pre-jade city. in verses/timelines where lan is alive, he is raising niko & enya is dead, otherwise hilo is raising niko (+ tells niko to call him uncle, not da, since he wants to respect lan's legacy.. as is canon <3)

"Well, I can never say no to more friends." Niko smiled a bit shyly. He hopes he didn't come off as hating it. It's just awkward making friends for him at eighteen. Which means when he gets older it'll be even harder.
