he couldn't be jealous. no, that's not what this is. seeing her there with someone else was just... well it couldn't be surprising. she was a single woman. or perhaps this was the father of her child. the baby was quite young. maybe there just wasn't a term for it, whatever it was that rang through him. but he had to come up with an excuse for going over to interrupt, talk to her. "so... events like this... do they happen often here?"

she had allowed herself enough time to kriffing wallow after her father had left, given herself a little time to compose herself afterwards before she grabbed her phone and keys, needing to find sabina. before she went to sheev, knowing that he would be handling their father immediately, she just needed her sister. she had only just gotten to sabina's when her phone buzzed, a strange text from allana's grandfather now staring back at her, the sound of her brother voice filling her car as sella felt her heart sink. why-- what-- she barely even breathed as her feet carried her to her sister's apartment, tears blinding her as sabina opened the door, sobs following as she wrapped her arms around her sister. it was the only place she wanted to be, the only person she could trust. the words on that recording only echoing in her mind as she clung to sabina.

lenore dove frowns as the geese she so tenderly was feeding flock away. she whips around to catch the footsteps that scared her favorite birds. “well now you’ve gone and scared them.” she huffs at the stranger, still holding a small sack of corn. frankly, not many others come out this way and she’d preferred to keep it that way. her own little hideaway with wildflowers and the sound of a pond nearby. she tilts her head. something's oddly familiar about him and yet she can’t quite put her finger on it. “have we met before?”

the weather here was too unpredictable for her to be out in the way she had become accustomed to in forks. that was the main downside - she could be prepared to step outside, and then be forced to quickly retreat like she was right now. stepping into the shadows, she waited - only to notice the all too familiar sparkle in the sunlight. without a thought, she grabbed the arm of the source of it, yanking her back. ryden's reaction is quick to catch the other, noticing them start to slip. the previous papers in hand dropped as he grabbed a hold of the other. "you should be more careful out here. the black ice is hard to see." he mentioned waiting for the other to get steady on their feet. "that little girl needs you unbroken." he gestured to the stroller.

clark could hear lois arriving a mile away, and not because he had really good hearing. she carries herself with a presence you could feel as soon as she entered a room. he smiles, waving at his fellow journalist (and date). he’s trying not to overthink going with lois and the more time they spend together. “i know we’re technically working, but i also know you don’t like fluff pieces.” he holds out a glass of champagne with a smile. “can be our secret.”

She held no animosity towards her, or if she did it had fizzled long ago, "φίλε μου" she smiled as she slowly neared the other, "you finally made it"
