Two years ago, I drew this little birthday gift for my sister’s boyfriend, who is a Michael Schumacher fan.

(I’m not a Schumi fan, never have been! But I enjoyed drawing this. Also, this was my first time drawing an F1 car! It was so challenging to get right, but I’m happy with how it turned out in the end. 🏎️💨)

I’m thinking of drawing Sebastian Vettel for him this year for his birthday. He loves him too! 🥰

Ammetto di non seguire la Formula 1 da tantissimo tempo, questa è solo la seconda stagione che seguo. Ho iniziato a seguire questo meraviglioso sport un po’ per caso, ma sin da subito mi sono sentita molto legata a Michael, esatto, proprio il sette volte campione del mondo Michael Schumacher. Non so perché questo legame l’abbia sentito proprio con lui, ma così è stato. Questo legame non l’ho sentito solo con lui, ma con tutta la famiglia, con Corinna, con Gina e con Mick. Sapevo chi fosse Michael anche prima dell’incidente, ma non ci avevo mai prestato particolare attenzione, ma da quando seguo la Formula Uno questa famiglia possiede un pezzo del mio cuore. Gli auguro il meglio e spero vivamente che Michael possa riprendersi.

Ever since then, he disappeared from the public eye, and the entire F1 world was changed. 10 years later, we had next to no updates on his state, but his brother Ralf publicly stated how "he isn't the same Michael we all knew". Who is Michael Schumacher?

Nine years ago the unthinkable happened and we - quite rightly - haven’t seen Michael since. I know he’s been constantly surrounded by a great deal of love and always will be. Apart from hoping that he continues to recover, away from the always intrusive (and often insensitive, even disrespectful) media, what I wish most for him is that he has joy in his life.

10 years ago, Michael Schumacher had his tragic skiing accident and we all don't know how he is now. But one thing is sure, he isn't the same as before anymore, otherwise we would've heard from him, after everything that happened.

Michael Schumacher always was my childhood idol. Everything was about Schumi for me. And he still is one of my two biggest idols. Everytime I was asked, as a kid, what I want to be when I'm grown up, I alsways said "Schumi". I hope we will some day hear from him, even though I doubt it. I wish him and his family all the best.
