can you share the artists and/or writers who inspire you?

Hi! Sorry I took so long to answer, but I most definitely can!

A lot of people have inspired me in many different ways throughout the years, but I'll go ahead and list the main inspirations for my sailor moon works. I'm obv inspired by a lot more writers and artists, but I think for this list I'll only post the writers and artists who have inspired me within the community.

I cannot recommend following these people enough.

(This list is in no particular order, also if you're mentioned in here and would like your @ removed please don't hesitate to let me know)

@crawlspacefics you can find all her fic works here. If u don't know her works at this point.. what you doing.. she's the author of the wonderful 'fate' series.

@fictoryismine if there's is one writer I see never getting the credit they deserve is fictory. PLEASE check out "night sky changing overhead" if you like the character work I do, you'll LOVE their stuff.

@docholligay excellent character work and wonderful fics. Truly a one of a kind writer in this fandom, I'm very grateful to have come across her works.

@keyofjetwolf much like Doc, wonderful and insightful character work. You surely have seen her stuff on Tumblr, you KNOW how good it is.

@sailorfailures a TON of fun and unique stuff. Hcs, comics, art. I don't think I've seen anyone post anything quite like Sailorfailure's posts in the fandom. (Can you tell I love fun and engaging character stuff?!)

@songficcer probably the writer that solidified my love of makoami in stone forever.

@sirazaroff amazing artist with super interesting and unique headcanons. One of the nicest people I've met and the one to welcome me to Tumblr when I first started posting.

@iklenos extremely underrated artist. Please check them out.

@chernotravblog hands down some of the best, not only Sailor Moon art, but art period I have ever seen.

NinjaMatch, a japanese artist on twitter who used to draw tons of sailor moon, and specifically makoami. Outside of the ship though, their art is AMAZING! And artist I look up very frequently for inspiration

KBY, another japanese artist I look up to immensely and someone who holds a very special place to me given their art was some of the first I actively searched for (growing up I had little to no access to the internet, so searching for specific artists was a luxury I couldn't afford often)

The "Hello world" group and AZone doujins, I'm not usually one for doujins since the writing is most often subpar at best, but anything by Hello world group is really freaking good, I highly recommend you read at least one story by them (they are all sfw, dw). If you're a sailor moon fan and haven't read AZone.. what are you doing? It's great.

The 'sailor business' podcast is the reason I posted my first piece of fanart ever online. If you wanna hear some dudes talking about the 90s anime and having some laughs while doing it then check them out.

Also big shout out to Liz, my friend. She doesn't use Tumblr, but we talk Sailor moon all the time and her headcanons and insights are incredible.

Lastly, I wanted to quickly mention some accounts that have posted either some really good fics or some super interesting headcanons, some of which have probably subconsciously inspired my own writings and headcanons. Good stuff.

MOONIES, has anyone compiled a best of original watch list if the Sailor Moon Anime (the original)?

I want to present a succinct list of episodes in all of the seasons to show to someone who never watched it, emphasis only on the eps that are really good/important. I’m not looking for NO fluff, just dont want to watch all the fluff!

They will drop all their plans, drive 30 minutes to a higher, flatter spot, find an off road, risk getting their cars stuck in the mud to then lead you under some barbed wire into an open cow pasture to just stand outside for 45 minutes to watch it.

@keyofjetwolf I finally finished Xena (in the past I stopped mid-season 6) and have now seen the ending and I need to know what you thought about it because, wow, what was sure an ending that ended the show. (It had some moments here and there but, wow, overall it was just awful, imo.)

I never ever ever get to dress up cute and fun for races because im always trying to win best person award but it's a beer run and I hurt my hip falling down a mountain Thursday so FINALLY I get to be cute and have fun. I found out very last minute that the theme was Olympic and thank fuck @keyofjetwolf had a bunch of stuff.

Just watched the Sailor moon D-Point episode with a friend and the creators of that episode really love the sailor senshi, particularly Rei.

It's so funny to me that the everyone knows Ami's Bubble Blast does nothing, so she couldn't kill anyone. But she got to disrupt DD Girls' power.

LOVE that Mako got to kill two of them with one big badass blast. I don't know if I ever quite realized she got two of them, but I was paying attention in particular to that this time. She's the powerhouse who gets to kill two with one attack even while Rei is the most dedicated and gets to kill two separately.

They didn't best know what to do with Minako but the VA did an exceptional job. It really brought a lot to the episode that she truly sounded scared to die. Not like battle yells but actually fearful. She's been doing this the longest, has known longer than anyone she could die doing this. And that never under cut how afraid she was. But she fought anyway.

But absolutely they let Rei take the show. She really is such a fucking badass in that episode shooting Fire Soul through a fucking glacier to kill the monster going after Usagi without even proper line of sight. Rei said she would protect Usagi and by god she would not be stopped. And she wasn't even done there.

Amazing. Love it. Gold star. No notes. @keyofjetwolf I feel you. Yes, I immediately thought of you when Rei turned to that last DD girl with that rage filled eye and said she wasn't fucking done and burnt that bitch to a crisp.
