Man, this is why I always hated math class.
Khan Academy gave me this easy (or so I thought) problem to solve:
"A factory makes toys that are sold for $10 a piece. The factory has 40 workers, and they each produce 25 toys a day. The factory is open 5 days a week. What is the total value of toys the factory produces in a day?"
I said to myself, okay...
10 times 40 times 25 equals 10,000. That means the factory produces $10,000 worth of value per WORKING day.
10,000 times 5 equals 50,000. And then there are two days per week (the weekend) when no value is produced. So, per week, the total value produced is still only $50,000.
And finally, there are seven days in a full week, so $50,000 divided by 7 equals roughly $7,142.86. That's the total value of toys produced per day. Not "per work day", but "per day", as it specifically says in the problem.
But what does the teacher say as he guides us through it? 10 times 40 times 25 equals 10,000, so the answer is 10,000.
That's it. The end.
He even acknowledges: "So, you might be thinking, 'Hey wait, we didn't use all the information! We didn't use the "five days per week" information!' And yeah, as it turns out, that was information we didn't need."
'As it turns out'?! Are you kidding me right now?! I carefully read the question, precisely calculated exactly what it was asking for, taking all of the provided information into account... and now you're saying I'm supposed to have somehow magically known to ignore one of those pieces of information in order to make it easier for myself?
Just admit that your problem is worded badly, dude. UGH this kind of shit drives me crazy. Why can't people use words clearly >:(

Tumblr media
In recent years, Bitcoin has emerged as a popular investment vehicle, attracting both seasoned investors and newcomers. Its decentralized nature and potential for high returns have made it an appealing alternative to traditional assets. However, the world of cryptocurrency can be daunting, especially for those unfamiliar with the technology. To help you navigate this landscape, we’ve put together a guide on how to start investing in Bitcoin safely.
Educate Yourself
Before diving into Bitcoin investment, it’s crucial to understand what you’re getting into. Bitcoin is a digital currency that operates on a decentralized network using blockchain technology. Take the time to learn about the fundamentals of Bitcoin and how it differs from traditional currencies. Reliable sources such as the Bitcoin whitepaper, reputable financial news websites, and educational platforms like Coursera and Khan Academy offer valuable insights.
Choose a Reliable Exchange
To buy Bitcoin, you’ll need to use a cryptocurrency exchange. Not all exchanges are created equal, so it’s important to choose one that is reputable and secure. Some well-known exchanges include Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. These platforms offer user-friendly interfaces, robust security measures, and a wide range of cryptocurrencies. Before committing, research each exchange’s fees, security features, and user reviews.
Secure Your Investments
Security should be a top priority when investing in Bitcoin. Unlike traditional financial systems, cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible, and losing access to your Bitcoin can mean losing your investment permanently. Use a wallet to store your Bitcoin securely. There are several types of wallets:
Hardware Wallets: Physical devices that store your Bitcoin offline, making them highly secure against online threats.
Software Wallets: Applications you can download on your computer or mobile device. They are convenient but may be vulnerable to hacking.
Paper Wallets: Physical printouts of your Bitcoin keys. They offer high security but can be lost or damaged.
Always enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your exchange and wallet accounts for an added layer of security.
Start Small and Diversify
If you’re new to Bitcoin, it’s wise to start with a small investment. This allows you to get comfortable with the process without risking significant capital. As you gain confidence, you can gradually increase your investment. Additionally, consider diversifying your portfolio by investing in other cryptocurrencies or assets. Diversification can help spread risk and increase potential returns.
Stay Informed and Vigilant
The cryptocurrency market is constantly evolving, so it’s important to stay informed about the latest trends and developments. Follow reputable news sources, join online communities, and participate in forums to keep up-to-date. Be cautious of common scams such as phishing attacks, Ponzi schemes, and fake exchanges. Always verify the authenticity of any platform or offer before committing your money.
Conclusion
Investing in Bitcoin can be a rewarding venture if approached with caution and knowledge. By educating yourself, choosing a reliable exchange, securing your investments, starting small, and staying informed, you can navigate the world of Bitcoin safely. Take the first step today and begin your journey towards financial independence with Bitcoin.

I'm an idiot at math and even I know math better than fucking Chat GPT. 9.9 is greater than 9.11. Chat GPT does not understand how decimals work and if you're using it to help you with your math (particularly on a regular basis), I'm not sorry to burst your bubble but you're most likely going to fail that class (whether it's because whatever you submit is incorrect or because it went through AI detection software and was flagged, or both).
Also to the person who uses Chat GPT to remind themselves to do "things humans need to do to stay alive"-- I'm sure it would be very easy for you to find your phone's default clock app and set some alarms on there (or if there isn't one, you can probably find an app on the appstore).
I use my phone's clock app alarms all the time to remind me to go to class. You don't need Chat GPT.
Just everything these people are using Chat GPT for, just... why? Why?? I don't get it. There are apps out there that can help you with scheduling, reminding you to do things, you can order scientific calculators online to help you with your math (also Khan Academy is a great resource for math stuff), you can set an alarm to remind you to write a grocery list or you can just use the same list every time and have a second list where you can put down additional items, there are so many things you can do that don't involve using generative AI that just shits words out of its digital butt.

CBSE Schools in Noida That Embrace Digital Classrooms and Smart Learning
Tumblr media
As technology continues to reshape the world around us, the way children learn is also evolving rapidly. Classrooms are no longer just rows of desks and chalkboards—they’re dynamic, digital spaces that foster creativity, engagement, and a love for learning. And when it comes to embracing this new era of education, CBSE schools in Noida are leading the charge.
From smart classrooms and e-learning platforms to AI-enabled tools and real-time student assessments, many CBSE schools in Noida are redefining traditional teaching methods by integrating smart learning technologies. But what does this really mean for students and parents? Let’s take a closer look at how these schools are preparing children for the future, today.
The Shift from Traditional to Smart Learning
If you’re a parent who grew up with blackboards, printed textbooks, and handwritten notes, the concept of a “smart classroom” might sound unfamiliar at first. But at its core, it’s simply about enhancing the learning experience using technology.
Smart classrooms in CBSE schools across Noida are equipped with:
Interactive digital boards
Projectors and audio-visual content
Tablets or laptops for students
Real-time quizzes and assessments
Access to online learning platforms and digital libraries
This transformation allows students to not only understand concepts better but also engage with them in ways that suit different learning styles—visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
Why It Matters: Benefits of Digital Classrooms for Students
1. Better Engagement, Better Learning
Digital content brings subjects to life. Imagine learning about volcanoes through a high-definition animation or understanding algebra with the help of interactive simulations. These tools capture students’ attention and improve retention—making learning fun, not forced.
2. Personalized Learning Pace
Not every student learns at the same speed. With smart learning tools, CBSE schools in Noida now offer students the flexibility to review lessons at their own pace, revisit topics they find difficult, or jump ahead when they’re ready.
3. Real-Time Feedback
Gone are the days of waiting weeks for report cards. Digital platforms used by schools offer instant feedback on tests and assignments. This helps teachers track each student’s progress and adapt their teaching accordingly.
4. Collaboration and Creativity
Technology enables students to work together on group projects using shared digital spaces. Tools like Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams allow them to brainstorm, share, and present ideas creatively—even remotely.
CBSE Schools in Noida Leading the Digital Way
Several CBSE-affiliated schools in Noida have not just adopted digital tools—they’ve woven them into the very fabric of how they teach. Let’s look at a few ways these institutions stand out:
Smart Classrooms in Every Wing
From kindergarten to senior secondary, many schools offer age-appropriate digital infrastructure. Young learners might use touchscreen boards and educational games, while older students work with simulation software and digital labs.
Integrated Learning Platforms
Platforms like Extramarks, Toppr, BYJU'S, and Khan Academy are often integrated into classroom instruction or assigned for home-based learning. Schools also build their own custom portals to offer assignments, reading materials, and lesson videos.
Digital Report Cards and Parent Apps
Noida’s CBSE schools are embracing transparent communication with apps that allow parents to:
Track attendance
Monitor academic performance
View homework and project deadlines
Receive school announcements in real-time
This digital bridge between school and home helps parents stay closely involved in their child’s learning journey.
Tech-Savvy Teachers
It’s not just about the gadgets—it's also about the people using them. Teachers in Noida’s top CBSE schools regularly undergo digital training to stay up to date with the latest educational technologies and ensure that tech use is purposeful, not superficial.
Adapting to Remote and Hybrid Learning
The pandemic was a wake-up call for the global education system—and Noida’s CBSE schools responded with agility. Digital infrastructure helped schools switch to remote learning with minimal disruption. And even now, many schools continue to use hybrid models, allowing students to revisit recorded lessons or attend sessions virtually when needed.
This flexibility has made education more accessible and resilient, proving the long-term value of tech integration.
Challenges to Consider (and How Schools Are Tackling Them)
Of course, going digital comes with its own set of challenges—screen fatigue, distraction risks, and digital equity. The good news is, many CBSE schools in Noida are:
Implementing screen-time guidelines
Encouraging regular breaks and offline activities
Offering device support or shared access programs for students without gadgets at home
They also emphasize digital discipline and online safety—helping students become responsible digital citizens.
What Parents Should Look For
If you’re considering enrolling your child in a CBSE school in Noida, and digital learning is a priority, here’s a quick checklist:
Is there smart classroom infrastructure across all grades?
What e-learning platforms or apps are used?
Are teachers trained in digital tools and pedagogy?
Does the school support digital well-being and safe internet practices?
How is technology used to enhance—not replace—core teaching?
Conclusion
In a world where technology touches every aspect of life, schools that embrace smart learning are not just keeping up with trends—they’re preparing students for realities we can’t even fully predict yet.
By fostering digital literacy, encouraging creativity, and making learning more inclusive and personalized, CBSE schools in Noida are empowering students to be future-ready, not just exam-ready.
As a parent, this shift might feel new—but it’s a step forward. Because when technology meets thoughtful teaching, the classroom transforms into a space where children don’t just memorize—they understand, explore, and grow.

I'm not, like, going to overtly disagree with this concept, as I do think technological literacy is falling dramatically, but I also want to add some context as someone who was born in 1999. Late 1999 too, I remember nothing of the 20th century.
I have played on a computer since I was tiny, like 2-3 years old and upward, my mother has pictures of me doing so, wee little lass clicking through Pajama Sam in "There's No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside". I can assure you that, despite my love of computer games, and computer based media, I did not understand how to make a folder, save images, or even the properties menu of the right click until I was about 12 years old. And the reason is quite simple: I never needed to do any of these things, it never entered my little mind that any of this was even necessary. It was quite literally a computer class in middle school which taught me how to type properly (Though I have since forsaken the home row for WASD and the mouse), A lot of fascination with the game Minecraft, and learning to mod it (Literally, like, hand over my poor nerdy heart, figuring out how to get the files for Buildcraft working properly was my first handling of the file system, it took hours, and may be the main ignition point to why I understand software today) And the use of Steam starting in 2013-2014 when Nilesy of the Yogscast uploaded a video about playing Gunpoint with the creator Tom Francis (Which also opened me up to his games, I am still eagerly awaiting Tactical Breach Wizards for no other reason than he makes some silly, solid games) And I finally got into programming in 2016 by using the Khan Academy program I was given to dig into Javascript and program my first game. (Which wasn't much, but you bet your sweet booty it worked, and that made my entire year.) I think there are kids out there who are beyond computer literate by the age of even 5. I know one particular software legend who learned to program in basic back when computers were new and he was in middle school, and I've met a couple who are on par with that nowadays at similar ages. But earlier than 12 was uncommon then and it is uncommon now. Earlier than 20 was uncommon then and is uncommon now. Plenty of people's cheapest access to technology is the smartphone. Plenty of kids main entertainment devices is the smartphone. People will not learn without motive, because otherwise there are no questions to be answered. Still, I wish any who dares teach the unfamiliar to a kid unawares the greatest of luck. That's all, rant over.
Telling young zoomers to "just switch to linux" is nuts some of these ipad kids have never even heard of a cmd.exe or BIOS you're throwing them to the wolves

Free Educational Resources for Teachers and Students
With Trump's talk of eliminating the US Department of Education, I want to compile a list of free and accessible materials for students, educators, and continuous learners.
Project Gutenburg has a library of over 70,000 free eBooks and audiobooks, with particular emphasis on those in the Public Domain.
The California Department of Education has compiled a list of Free Educational Resources that were originally meant for distance learning during Covid. I think these are primarily for grades K-12.
Library Finder is a free website that can point you in the direction of your closest local library. Libraries are an amazing resource for literacy programs, community outreach, computer access, and much more.
The University of San Diego has compiled a list of Top 24 Educational Resources for Teachers. Most of these are free, free with ads, or free with an account.
National Geographic has a list of Education Resources on their website. I highly encourage everyone to explore the website on their own time.
PBS has a bunch of different educational resources on their website that you can browse easily by subject and grade level.
Please add more resources if you come across them. This is by no means a comprehensive list.

Choosing the Right Path: A Guide to SAT and ACT Prep Success
For high school students aiming for competitive college admissions, preparing for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT is a major milestone. These exams evaluate academic readiness and play a significant role in the application process for many universities. With proper preparation and guidance, students can improve their scores and increase their chances of getting into their dream schools.
SAT test prep has evolved beyond basic textbook review. Today’s students have access to a variety of resources, including online practice platforms, personalized tutoring, mobile apps, and timed practice tests. The SAT focuses on areas such as critical reading, math, and writing, and it’s essential to build familiarity with the exam format. Successful preparation often includes setting study schedules, mastering test-taking strategies, and practicing under timed conditions to build confidence and reduce anxiety.
Tumblr media
In searching for the best SAT prep programs, students should consider their learning style, schedule, and goals. Some excel in group courses that provide structured support and competition, while others benefit from one-on-one tutoring tailored to their specific needs. Many reputable programs offer score improvement guarantees, adaptive learning software, and access to experienced instructors. Kaplan, Princeton Review, and Khan Academy are a few widely recognized options, each with different features suited for diverse learners.
On the other hand, the ACT is another widely accepted college entrance exam that emphasizes English, math, reading, science reasoning, and an optional writing section. It is known for its straightforward questions but faster pace. Practicing with authentic ACT prep questions is essential to grasp timing and identify strengths and weaknesses. High-quality prep materials mimic real test questions and provide detailed explanations, helping students to track their progress and improve steadily.
Enrolling in structured ACT prep courses can be an effective way to boost scores and reduce test-day stress. These courses typically include diagnostic tests, subject-specific reviews, and tips for pacing. Some even offer hybrid formats with online and in-person classes. Programs like Magoosh, ACT Online Prep, and PrepScholar are known for delivering flexible, comprehensive courses that accommodate a variety of student needs and schedules.
Ultimately, the decision between SAT and ACT prep depends on the student’s strengths and the requirements of their target schools. Regardless of the exam chosen, early preparation, consistent practice, and access to high-quality materials are essential for success. By investing time and effort into the right prep programs and using authentic practice questions, students can confidently approach test day and take one step closer to achieving their college aspirations.
