inumaki toge wasn’t the biggest fan of coffee, but you could always find him in the same shop ordering a tea.

of course he never ordered for himself, the first years always brought him along with them to try new drinks on the menu. mostly nobara and itadori, fushiguro realized that inumaki never liked anything that had caffeine in it. that’s when fushiguro started buying tea for inumaki.

it seemed to be a new flavor everyday, so inumaki never bothered to learn what fushiguro had ordered for the two of them.

so of course that didn’t go well one day when the first years left early for a mission and inumaki was really craving some tea.

once he got to the cash register to order, he didn’t know what to say or do, luckily that wasn’t an issue.

“you’re the quiet one that always comes with your juniors right?” you asked, recognizing the familiar face.

he nodded, making eye contact with you. you usually worked most weekday mornings, you would always take fushiguro and his order. he remembered because you would always call out to him when the order was ready, referring to it as that day’s special.

“what can i get you? the tuesday special ?” you asked with a smile. only getting another nod in response, you told him his total.

after he paid, you went to go make his tea, on tuesdays he always got a chai tea. mixing his ingredients became a weekly normal for you which explained why you finished his drink so quick.

you called out to him to pick up his tuesday special and smiled as you handed him the cup.

he bowed his head as a thank you before leaving, and taking a sip on his way out. something caught his eye when he raced the cup to his face, so he took a closer look at it.

in a cute, messy, and obviously nervous handwriting he read:

you don’t seem to talk much so shoot me a text :)

he looked inside the shop window to see you watching him intently. you shot him a little nervous wink and a smile.

he smiled and nodded in return before taking another sip of tea.

he could’ve sworn this sip tasted 10x better than before.
