1) Do you make your bed?

I generally try to unless I'm in a rush.

2) What’s your favorite number?

22 - When I was a kid I loved playing Donkey Kong Country on the SNES and I loved listening to the soundtrack too. My favourite track was number 22 and ever since then I've liked that number.

3) What’s your job?

Hairdresser

4) If you could, would you go back to school?

Hell no, glad to be finally be an adult and done with that school life shit xD

5) Can you parallel park?

The real question is can I drive. The answer is no.

6) A job you had which would surprise people?

Trainee optical dispenser - basically making glasses. Cutting lenses to go into frames and stuff.

7) Do you think aliens are real?

I mean the universe is so vast and unknown so surely somewhere there is a form of alien life. But who knows.

8) Can you drive a manual car?

I can't drive at all. But when I learn it will be a manual since most people go for a manual license in the UK.

9) What’s your guilty pleasure?

Hmm... can't think of anything.

10) Tattoos?

Nope.

11) Favorite color?

Blue is nice.

12) Things people do that drive you crazy?

People who complain they are bored without a good reaon. I mean even with just your phone on the internet you can learn about anything that interests you. The things you could learn and read about are endless.

13) Any phobias?

Nah.

14) Favorite childhood sport?

Maybe netball? Or rock climbing? UK schools are shit when it comes to sports.

15) Do you talk to yourself?

For some reason I only do when other people are around. Maybe so I can pretend I'm talking to them.

16) What movie do you adore?

God, so so many. Gladiator, V for Vendetta, Pulp fiction, just to name a few

17) Do you like doing puzzles?

Depends on the puzzle.

18) Favorite kind of music?

I'm into all sorts really. Pop, rock, electronic etc. Some days I'm really into 80s music or screemo music or some chilled house or other fringer stuff. Other times I'm really into soundtracks from films, games, animes etc. Depends on my mood.

19) Tea or Coffee?

Both. Nothing beats a good cup of tea at home but if I'm drinking out I'll always get a coffee.

20) The first thing you remember you wanted to be when you grew up?

Not sure. Probably something creative or artistic.

[RF] Stories: HS Picture, Tape and VCR recording, outfit with shoes

HS Picture

I live in Florida and it's hot during the summer months but October of 1973 was usually warm. There were no air conditioner in the high school that my sister attended. It was also during the energy crisis. The teacher in protest of no air conditioning wore a one piece bathing suit to school and the school photographer took a picture of the teacher, Mrs. Emma Smith and standing on one side of her was my sister Vicky, on the other side was her best friend Molly and then I was sitting on the floor crossed legged. I was 11 years old at the time. My sister Vicky and Molly were seniors. We saw it in the yearbook and many people that saw it laughed.

VCR Recording

In 1982 my sister, Molly and a couple of their friends went to my mother's house for thanksgiving. A VCR tape was done of the visit. At that time those cameras and VCR tapes were expensive. Very expensive. It was watched a couple of times and then put away. We all were aware that we were being watched. Poor Vicky had been watched for years. I also forgot to mention that my mother's church had a square dance two days after Thanksgiving. That was included on the Thanksgiving tape. Vicky sent the tape to her man Captain Doc as he requested that she film Thanksgiving.

Captain Doc was her secret lover. Our father died in 1981 and shortly after that Vicky became his lover. Our dad was the head person on his security and had told her that Captain Doc broke the hearts of many women in Finland. She didn't want to believe this but it was true.

Back story: My father was born in Finland and came to the US in the 1950's. He met my mother in St. Louis, they got married, then divorced and he went back to Finland. We spent many summers there as well. I was name Maud which is my paternal grandmother's name.

Molly got married in her late 20's and had a couple of kids. She settled down, moving to Winter Park and living on Park Ave. You wouldn't recognize her previous life as she had left that life of dating wealthy European aristocrats at the age of 26. Vicky hadn't totally left it although she was devoted to Captain Doc. Few people in the US knew about it.

Once Vicky turned 30, Captain Doc traded her in for someone younger. She got a lot of money to keep her silence about their relationship. You wonder why these women don't tell. They either are paid off or given a nice gift in exchange for their silence. Vicky came home in tears.

Vicky got married shortly after the breakup and the following year had a daughter at age 35 in 1991. Our mother died in 1998 and a month later Vicky and my brother in law died in a car accident. I was given custody of my niece, Emily age 7. She inherited by sister's good looks.

Shoes and Outfit

Emily grew up and wanted to be a model/actress. At age 20 she was in her first movie. She had more talent for acting than modeling and dropped the modeling. I often would get calls or people asking who she was involved with. I declined comment. One of these people was an actor who was much older than she. The actor wasn't married but was in a long term-relationship and was known to cheat and his partner put up with it for a long time before finally leaving.

For Christmas of 2015 Emily gave me a pair of fancy Italian shoes. They were beige flats that had real rhinestones in them. She had a similar pair. I was also given a fancy green pant suit by her friend Tiffany. The two were spending Christmas with me. I felt sorry for Tiffany. She had come to Florida to escape from her troubles but her troubles came to the attention of an entertainment show that mentioned her troubles the day after Christmas. I was surprised that Tiffany wasn't getting threatening calls.

I knew Emily wouldn't be getting any calls like that. She finally told me that she'd gotten caught. The partner of this actor calmly told the actor that she would be outside in the garden and they would discuss it later. She closed the door and quickly left. When Emily left, she saw the woman sitting in the garden with the look of fury on her face. It hadn't been made public yet, but this couple had split up.

From Christmas to New Years was uneventful. Three days after the new year. A guy that Emily had dated in high school died in a crash that was caused by a drunk driver who happened to be a MLB player. Emily and Tiffany had stayed a couple of more days and left the day after the funeral.

Tape Recordings and how it all ties together

A week later

I was walking to the library when a man approached me with a gun and ordered me into my car. He told me he wouldn't hurt me if I complied. I was forced to drive home and was forced to change into my new shoes and pants suit. He had an old cassette recorder with a tape on it. He told me to record as he sat in my living room at the dinning room table. He had the gun in his hand and was sitting across from me.

"Did you know that Emily got caught with Max Fringers by his partner Jill Ann. Those shoes that you are wearing are actually Jill Ann's shoes. Max bought them for Jill Ann but Emily had bought a similar pair and when she left grabbed the wrong pair. That outfit was actually purchased by Tiffany's lover, that punk rocker........

"I don't want to hear about him. I really don't..."

"Now tell me what would Emily see in a guy like Max Fringers. The guy is much older than she is and he's not that attractive. Has a lot of money. I wonder how he is...

"Stop this right now, I don't want to hear about this." I said in a stern manner.

"Don't worry. I doubt if Jill Ann is going to come forward and tell everyone that you are wearing her shoes. I doubt that Mr. Punk rocker is going to say that he purchased the pants suit. I must tell you Maud is a hideous name for a person. Old Scandinavian name but old lady name. I'm warning you that people are going to come after you and your family over the DUI case. They will be coming out of the woodwork. They already know about dear old Captain Doc and they know that he still has a copy of that high school year book picture."

The look on my face, I tried to hide the look of panic on my face. How did this guy know this? He was too young and wasn't on the earth when Vicky and Captain Doc had their fling.

"I know what you're thinking, how do I know this? I know this and no, I wasn't send by the drunk. I just want you to know what you are up against. You don't have to answer me as I'm not a court of law."

This man gives me a DVD but I don't want to look at it. I know what is on it. "

"I don't want to see that video."

"Just letting you know this is already out. It wasn't me."

He then gets up and leaves the tape with me. I debate over calling the police as I don't want them knowing about this. I decide not to as I don't want this information about my family and friends out there but it already is. I destroy the tape and tell no one about it.

This man who comes to my house makes several old cassette recordings and sends them to the police. One is labeled HS Picture, another VCR recordings, Outfit with Shoes and the last was the tapes. We are all tied together as either being friends or relatives for the most part.

The tabloids have a field day with it. I'm on the cover dressed in the fancy Italian shoes and pants suit. The affair that Captain Doc had with my sister became headline news worldwide. Emily and Tiffany's life is made a public record including that video.

Wasn't really a music video although music was playing. Of course religious groups went crazy, attacking Emily and Tiffany as being immoral and sinful women. Some people loved it. I had to look at it once and never again. Emily and Tiffany refuse to talk about it.

The thanksgiving tape is too boring so that doesn't get much attention.

I'm dragged into it as well, served with a summons to come to court. This goes on for two years. This guy continues to send old tape recordings that he made talking about the case to local law enforcement.. I have no idea who he is. He didn't come back to my house and I hope I never see him again. I never told police that he came by. Sounds strange but this is our little secret.

Then something weird happens. This MLB player goes out on a boat and never returns. The man on the tape claims to be responsible for his disappearance and says that he's with the fishes at sea or at the bottom of the sea.

For nearly 25 years afterward, police get these recordings. They become very political in nature. Sometimes the man is very angry. Other times he's very calm. He often mentions me which angers me. Sadly some of the stuff he's said about the town I live is true.

A sample of this would be.....

"Maud doesn't fit it. Ugly name wouldn't you say. Strange odd woman is what the folks in town described her as. I think she's different but what would the world be if everyone was the same. No she doesn't fit into the town because first of all, she lives in the wrong neighborhood, goes to the wrong church and this makes you a social outcast in the town. Why she stayed here, I guess she doesn't have to worry about someone doing her harm as she as middle aged obese. The fat sister you know everyone knows one or has one.....

"Have you ever wondered why women who date royals or nobility never write a tell-all-book? Because they know bad things will happen to them if they do. I would have to admire Vicky for not saying anything about Captain Doc who everyone knew didn't love his royal virgin bride. Need I say more. Molly dated the Scottish nobleman who couldn't marry her and she wasn't about to be a kept woman.. She went home and made a normal life for herself. The nobleman's family was nice to her. Didn't badmouth her and said little about her. She was nice but wasn't of the right stock (non-nobility in other words)....

A far cry from what happened to Thelma Thompson. The family of this nobleman hated her with a passion and threatened to ruin her life if she said anything. She was used if you know what I mean. But she did get a parting gift as all these women did. The other 2 women weren't threatened. Thelma was but I'm telling her story because she died last year and she was living in a halfway house. She told me all about what happened, including two miscarriages that she had. Well they weren't miscarriages if you know what I mean. Molly paid for her funeral and made sure she had a proper burial. No one else seemed to care. Molly is a decent person an I've always liked her even though I don't know her personally."

I vaguely remember Thelma. She didn't go to school in Florida and my sister and Molly met her at a party in London. These are where these rich wealthy men hung out to pick up women the kind you didn't take home to Mother as Rick James would say. Vicky and Molly weren't passed around because of who they dated. The men that they dated made this clear. Vicky and Molly were theirs and no one elses until they broke up with them. Thelma was passed around and I will leave it at that. Poor Thelma nearly OD's on pills after she was discarded like garbage.

I never had to go to court. The tape that this guy gave me never turns up anywhere.

The tapes then stopped being sent. What happened? My guess is that this guy died. Despite officials begging the man to come forward, he never did. What his motive was, I don't know. Maybe he felt sorry for Emily losing a ex-partner. Many of the tapes were leaked to the police.
