在過去的一兩年間 在朋友的轉介下 多了很多 接觸小朋友 分享禪繞畫的機會 以前教學對象 多數是長者或成人 所以一開始 也會擔心 當時教小朋友經驗不多的自己 會不會能夠勝任 但經過多次的工作坊教學後 經驗告訴我 我當初的顧慮 都是多餘的 現在每次教小朋友禪繞時 都會在他們身上學到更多 亦被他們的能量感染過來💕 在那些教學經驗裡 讓我發現到 這些小可愛 在學習禪繞期間 有著不同的變化 1/ #提升專注力 通常一開始時 有些小朋友會在聊天 或是因未進入狀態而未能專心 有時又會望一下其他朋友仔的作品 但到了課堂中途 漸漸會發現 課室裡變得越來越寧靜 再望望各位小朋友 大家都變得越來越專心在畫畫上 有時候在課堂完結時 還會遇到有一些小朋友問 「老師！我可唔可以畫埋先走？」 2/ #培養觀察力 有一些參與多於一堂的小朋友 會讓我發現 他們的觀察力 會在不知不覺間提升 有些會發現 某個圖樣好像在街上看過 例如住宅的窗花 街上的瓷磚等等 持續學習禪繞畫 讓他們比過往 觀察到更多生活中的小細節 3/ #舒緩壓力情緒 曾經試過教一些快要面臨考試的小學生 雖然他們學業上都有不少功課 亦要準備考試 花時間溫習 但仍抽空一小時畫禪繞畫 過程中 看到他們都很認真 專注 完堂時 他們亦表示 心情變得平靜 放鬆 然後再儲滿能夠 可以好好應付考試 4/ #增強自信心 禪繞畫最後一個步驟 是每個參與者都把自己作品分享出來 放在一起 大家互相欣賞 透過欣賞與讚美對方的作品 大家會發現 自己也畫得不錯 漸漸會開始懂得欣賞自己 對自己創作 想法 亦會加強信心 悄悄跟你說 每次課堂 我最期待就是這個moment 每當聽到同學互相欣賞 互相稱讚 然後被讚揚的同學 臉上所帶出的笑容 就是我教學的動力🧡 5/ #激發創意 雖然這個是對於小朋友來講的好處 但某程度上 他們的創意亦激發返我嘅想像 比較印象深刻的一次 曾經有一位小男孩 在我教花花禪繞圖樣後 把圖樣組合起來 變成一棵樹 然後問我： 「老師我想加太空船在空白地方！」 正正因為禪繞畫是不具象 亦無對錯的藝術 小朋友在無須受限的情況下 更能大膽去發揮腦海中的創意 增加個人創作能力 可能在網絡上單看禪繞畫作品的圖片 您或會以為 它是只在畫一些重複圖案 但當你了解了禪繞的背景 與背後的理念 再親身體驗 嘗試畫一次後 你一定會對禪繞畫有不同的感受 一定會體會到 它當中的魔力 在禪繞畫世界裡 沒有對與錯 沒有比較與批判 沒有年齡界限 沒有要求需要藝術背景 只要你懂拿起筆 你就可以走進它的世界 🧡 . At 12pm, Advanced Drawing will begin exploring the world of Cubism as we create a cat inspired by Pablo Picasso ($22). ~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ~ Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons • Type of class: fine art • Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Kids Can Paint: Surrealism • Type of class: painting/mixed media • Description: Surrealism is strange and sometimes silly art that explores dreams and the world of imagination! In this class students will explore the artwork of six famous artists. They then will use these artists and their works as a springboard to explore art and their own creativity. Each artist will have an “inspiration” piece based on their style, use of color, etc. However, each student will be encouraged to explore his or her own artistic style. Small group instruction.
