Wally, swinging down the whole flask of what is actually rocket fuel: i’m fucking in

“I love you,” Rip breathes out as he holds his cuppa just in front of his mouth, eyes flicking between watching the steam come up from the liquid and Wally’s face.

Taking a moment to slow time around him down, Wally lets himself have his initial freak out before speeding back up so that he can carefully drop his fork down, letting it clank against the plate as he shoves his chair back. Planting both his hands firmly on the table, Wally leans over and waits for Rip to meet him half way for a kiss that is meant to be fleeting but they quickly deepen.

(Wally refuses to apologize for the fact Rip dropped his favorite mug in their haste to round the table, causing  the thing to spill and chip. He’s not sorry.)

It was a close one. But we pulled off two No Spend Weekends in a row. 😊 It nearly didn’t happen. We had come back home from a chilly morning of bird watching ( first time for all of us!) as it turns out February is a bit early for nesting. For all our efforts we didn’t get to see much. But the kids enjoyed taking random photos none the less 🙂 : As I was cooking lunch my darling daughter rocked into the kitchen and slapped a hard back copy of Alice in Wonderland on the table beaming from ear to ear. : She kindly reminded me that I owed her a waffle drizzled in Belgian chocolate from the local eatery. : I had totally forgotten the promise that had made. I had told her that if she read all of Alice in Wonderland all by herself the I would treat her to said waffle at said eatery. : After much negotiation ( and there was much negotiation, that girl is good 🙄) We decided that I would buy chocolate spread and shop bought waffles but both kids would get two waffles instead of the original promise of just her getting one. : I had the money left in the good budget so win win. : Other than waffles and birdwatching we exploded the local nature reserve, made a chocolate cake, friendship bracelets and learned some basic cross stitch. Then today we invited friends over for lunch and had a great afternoon. The kids even took to bobbing for apples aka Halloween style 😳 . So there you have it.
