You bolted out of bed, a cold sweat coating your entire body. Your chest rose and fell as you took deep breaths attempting to calm yourself, reminding yourself that what you had just experienced was simply a nightmare, nothing more. Jeha sat up beside you, hands resting on your shoulders as he spoke softly, none of his words being heard initially. 

How could they when you were so far gone? When did this become a nightly occurrence?

“Match my breathing,” he whispered, finally being heard and causing you to breathe with him as he placed your hand on his bare chest. “There you go.”

You stayed silent, eyes dropping as the panic left your body replaced by tiredness. When was the last time you’d even been able to sleep for an entire night without waking after seeing a far too realistic death of Jeha in your dream?

“I can’t stop seeing-” you began voice cracking before your bodyguard turned lover pulled you tightly against his frame.

“I’m here. I’m fine. And I will be here with you,” he declared. “Nothing is going to change that.”

“You know, snowflakes are like butterflies but in winter,” you chuckled as a snowflake landed on your eyelash in the midst of Jeha adjusting the scarf around your neck that he’d just given you after noticing you were shivering beside him.

“Winter’s butterflies?” he reiterated. “How so?”

You stretch your mitten covered hand out and catch a snowflake that manages to stay on for a minute before Jeha’s head bumps into it and melts it.

“They’re very delicate, they flutter and float around, they’re pretty,” you list before being cut off.

“Not as pretty and delicate as you,” you managed to hear despite how quiet he’d attempted to be.

“What was that?” you asked, a grin spreading across your face. “I didn’t quite hear you.”

Jeha blushed as he looked away, grabbing your hand and tugging you in the direction of the restaurant you were supposed to meet your father at. “I didn’t say anything.”

You giggled, clingy tightly to his arm, “Are you sure? I could’ve sworn you just called me pretty.”

Never in your life did you think the stoic bodyguard would be as red a rose after having been heard calling you pretty.

I'm done with episode 8, and I'm thinking of watching it again later from episode 1 while waiting for new episodes to drop. What do you guys think of the series? :)
