Watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and one of the things I really like is that usually the Ranger that gets incapacitated first is also the only one who can beat the monster.
So every member of the team feels indispensable.
Because the point of superhero teams isn't that they can do this by themselves but that they're all necessary.
Several episodes specifically have a Ranger unable to come to the fight at first so the other Rangers have to stall until they can get there. A big part of those episodes is actually finding ways for their teammate to escape whatever has them trapped.
Whether it's a monster or a social obligation.

What is your headcanon about Kimberly dealing with leaving the ranger life? Will she simply retire from it? Will she remain forever hungry for the action of old days? Will she find peace? Will she never find peace?
Oh, I truly love this ask!! Sorry for the delay. I wrote half of it and lost steam, but I will finish it now! I hope you see this, anon!

I think Kim is the last one out. It's really hard for her to leave, and she has built her identity around being a Ranger. Like, even Jason moves on before she does. And that says a lot. It's her way of being strong and in control, and it's her way of feeling like she's a good person. She needs it to feel like a good person. It gets easier as the years go by, of course. She's not as hard on herself as she was at 17 as they all get older. But it's still always there. The darkness, the regret, the shame. It's easy to get lost being a Ranger because then she feels strong and proud of herself, when she never felt that in the past. Not truly.
It's hard for her to let go. She does love the adrenaline and action. She loves that she doesn't have to think or overanalyze herself. It does change as her friends start to leave. After Jason leaves, Zordon makes her the leader of the group. She gets along with the new Rangers and leads them and teaches them, but it isn't really the same. It's hard. Learning to trust and gel with the new Rangers. Her old group was so well formed and tight. They mean so much to her. They're her family. The first real group of true friends she ever had.
But she's not ready to move on with her life. Trini doesn't pressure her about it, luckily. She just supports her. But Kim knows Trini worries. She knows Trini understands what Kim is feeling about it all. Kim loves Trini for that, among everything else.
I think it takes some big, traumatic event in the Ranger world to make Kim start to think about moving on. She pushes it away for a long time and every time the thought comes back, she tells herself she can't. That goes on a while longer until it's all she can think about. She finally talks to Trini about it and Trini tells her maybe it's time. Kim sleeps on it and decides it is. She goes to Zordon and tells him and turns in her coin, then goes home to Trini and collapses.
She has to learn how to have a life without being a Ranger and it's hard. She feels like she's lost herself. She hasn't been a normal person since high school when she was so lost and sad.
She has to try to figure out what she'll do with her life, and it's hard. She misses it. She misses feeling powerful and strong. It takes a lot of time for her to accept it all, and it comes with a lot of help from Trini and their friends.
I think she would dive into something like a new job or going back to school and just kinda drown herself in it to avoid everything. Until she can't take it anymore and breaks down to Trini.
That's a turning point and she starts to really find herself and her worth without being a Ranger. It's a slow process, takes time, but she gets through it. And eventually, she's happy. She feels good about herself. She looks back on her Ranger life with pride and happiness.
She feels strong, powerful and right. And she moves on with her life while never letting her past hurt her.
