5.) Kirill - he may not be a father but Daniel Bernhardt is so he counts. I love how constantly stressed he looks in every scene and at this point we might aswell consider Iosef as his kid from how many grey hairs he has because of him💀 anyways, dilf bodyguard. Pros: strong, hot, actually a quick-thinker, cool. Cons: pushed a woman, will continue to push women.

4.) Viggo - what else do you want. Mob boss, actually does have a kid, probably the most coolest mafia boss I’ve ever seen. He’s the funniest guy ever and also I will romanticize his actions from hell to back. He’s also a shit father but let’s not talk about that🥰 (He literally put his son in danger) (He punched said son two times) (He ALSO grieved his son BEFORE he died). Pros: generally powerful socially, has networks and influence across New York, the only villain who knew John’s power. Cons: shit father, punches his own kid, still stupid enough to fight John in the rain without a weapon but at least he looked cool doing so.

3.) Harbinger - im sorry I find Clancy Brown hot that’s all there is to this. He’s enigmatic, he serves as a (kind of) father figure to Marquis if you really think about it. He’s also dressed in black always, and also he has a sick ass scar. John Wick Chapter 4 screenplay calls him a “behemoth of a man”. Michael Finch and Shay Hatten’s words not mine. Pros: actually chill, wiseful and mindful👍, the most respectful High Table emissary. Cons: high table emissary.

2.) Koji - Hirouyuki Sanada with a sword. He’s also a father of a very mean daughter which is funny cause he’s actually really chill (what is it with mean kids and their chill dads in this movie series??) anyways. He owns a cool ass hotel, he’s hot, I don’t think he has a wife (or a husband.) Pros: he’s super respectful and gracious!!! Also, really puts relationships above all things. Cons: he gets betrayed.

1.) Caine - now we have mean dad and chill daughter. Well, we don’t know exactly if Mia is chill yet but she kinda looks chill so. Anyways, Caine!! Ngl the cuntiest person in JW4 I don’t care if John Wick is there or Akira or Vincent, Caine is by far the coolest fucking guy in that movie and I will die on this hill. Pros: will fight for his family, funny, won’t kill certain types people. Cons: pissed off a friend’s daughter😨

AITA for going after a criminal family after my ex-boss’ son killed my dog and stole my car?

I, 40m, lost my wife to a disease that unfortunately took her from this world. I met her in a difficult time of my life when I was forced to work a job that I felt chained to. Three years later, we got married. Unfortunately my married days lasted 5 years before she was diagnosed with an illness that she would later succumb to.

A few days after she died, right after her funeral ended, I had received a small puppy(named Daisy) from her as a final gift. Before this, she had bought me a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a car which I have held very dearly since it was one of the very few gifts I had received in my life. Please keep in mind of these two things that she had given me.

Days later, I took my car out as I went shopping for my newly acquired puppy since I didn’t want her sleeping on the floor. Afterwards, I went to a gas station where I met this kid (27m) and his friends. They were speaking in Russian while I was minding my business. The kid, which I will be naming Usef. Usef is the nepo baby kid of my former boss who I only came to know after the next events. I was in the gas station as I mentioned, before Used approached me and engaged in small talk. He seemed like an asshole kid so I didn’t talk much to him, plus, my wife just died. He asked me what model my car was and seemed interested in the subject enough for me to talk back to him in his little talk. Afterwards, he asked me “how much?” I didn’t believe it at first, so I asked what he was talking about. Usef told me he was talking about the car. I replied that “she’s not for sale” and that seem to make him back off a bit before I entered my car and he saw my puppy. I thought he was maybe just being friendly to the dog before he told me, almost smugly, that “everything has a price, bitch”. I replied; “not this bitch” which got him mad. Fortunately for him, his friend came back from the store next to the station and got him to calm down before he went into a temper tantrum.

Now here’s where it gets bad. Later that night, I fell asleep as normal, before I heard Daisy waking up to some noise. She seemed to be stressed so I walked outside and right afterwards, I could feel a sharp pain hitting the back of my head. I blacked out and before I knew it, I was on the cold floor of my living room while I saw intruders walking around my house all dressed in black. I did a quick head count and put the two dots together that this was the kid from the gas station and his clique. They beat me up, asking for where my car was and proceeded to kill Daisy. After that, the gas station kid hit me with a bat. I woke up an hour later.

I quickly cleaned up and went to a friend’s place(who is a mechanic) and the kid turned out to be my ex-boss’ kid. I borrowed a car from my friend, and immediately got to work in hunting this guy and friends down.

I checked into a hotel, and got some insight from an old friend of mine who told me that I might as well get something out of it. I got a tip from another old friend that he was in a club. I went to the club, armed, and told one of the guards to take the night off since I couldn’t bring myself to unleash myself upon him.

It was an easy stealth mission, I was close to killing the kid and leaving, before I got unlucky and a guard tackled me into the public eye. Right after that, it was a bloodshed. I didn’t mean to kill all those people but you have to do what you have to do. Anyways, the kid escaped so I went back to my room, got into a fight with this one woman, and got some details on how to anger my ex-associate into finding his son. I went to a church which was a cover up for said ex-boss’ stash of blackmail evidence and money. Which I destroyed.

Following that, ex-boss came in all angry, and killed the priest that was supposed to keep it hidden. After that, I lunged in and tried taking out as many of his men as I can before I got rammed into a car by another car and I blacked out once again.

I woke up in an old warehouse where ex-boss went on a tangent on “it was just a puppy” and “just a car” which I disagree with because it doesn’t seem like he cares about his wife as much as I do.

And then I killed his bodyguards, well, one. The other one was shot down by an old friend who I considered a mentor. Anyways, it was a tough fight between me and that one man before I went to go hunt down ex-associate and ask him where his son was.

He immediately broke and told me where the kid was, and I immediately went to go look for him.

I killed him, and a few others. And after that, I killed his father too. AITA for taking this too far?

idk if youre still even thinking abt iosef, since those posts were from a while ago but i just wanna say thank you for like. giving him a little depth? he’s easily hateable bc of his role in the narrative but i really wish the overt and obvious abuse he was facing from viggo was like. acknowledged by fans more? anyway thanks for having a lil nuance when you write him

He’s easily overshadowed by the fact he killed John’s dog and the fact he’s treated as a secondary antagonist next to Viggo. While yes, Viggo is the main antagonist of the first movie, Iosef sets the story in motion. (Little rant below)

Iosef is a character who I unironically love due to how Alfie Allen portrayed him and also how he was written. I think for someone whose agency dies off right after his opening scene, he still has his own character traits which are almost always glossed over by the fanbase which is unfair seeing as how fans seem to adore a character such as, not to use him as an example but he’s the best I have right now— Marquis who is an enigma and with even worse crimes as Iosef.

I really do think Iosef was somewhat abused by Viggo and it’s clear with how their dynamic is portrayed. Iosef is 26-27 years old from what I assume and unlike almost every other villain(or rather EVERY villain), he has not transcended the ages of self-development and just finding yourself in general. Almost every person says that their twenties are a time of passage and change, which is why most twenty year olds/young adults like myself feel like their lives are a chaotic mess.

I think that’s Iosef. He’s in his twenties, and he doesn’t really have a reputation. He still tries to find validation from other people such as Viggo in their scene talking about John in the bar, and in the Red Circle scene when Iosef gets angry Kirill refers to guarding him being equivalent to that of “babysitting”. Iosef has an ego which most likely stems from not getting that attention as a child or just not being able to formulate attention easily; maybe this is a result of Viggo spoiling him to hell because he didn’t know how to parent or it could be a sign Viggo neglected him. Both of which are likely knowing how crime families work, which have tremendous amounts of abuse from the head of the family and the members surrounding it.

Anyways yeah those are my thoughts on Iosef. Thank you for the ask :D
