bachira + tummy kisses for this kiss prompts
Tumblr media
Part of Bachira's post-practice ritual is pinning you to the couch so he can relax in your lap. Being close to you is all he desires after a long day, and the feeling of your hand gently running through his hair makes the stress of the day dissipate.
He rests his head comfortably on your stomach, looking up at you with a dopey lovestruck grin. With a giggle he places a playful kiss where his head was resting, the unexpected gesture causing you to recoil slightly.
"Hey, Meguru, that tickles!" You protest. Your words fall on deaf ears because Bachira nuzzles his face further into your stomach, placing more kisses as he giggles.
To get him to stop you have to cup his face and make him look up at you, silly grin still plastered across his face. "What was that for?" You ask between laughs.
Bachira grins wider. "Payback for all the butterflies you give me!"

a/n: thank you so much T-T you didn’t specify a character, so i just,,, went with atsumu? also bc i’m lame this is sort of a follow-on from little changes (because i’m unoriginal)
✧ ✧
Atsumu dragged a finger down the back of the plush toy. “A rat? Really?”
“It reminded me of you,” you smiled, reaching over to kiss his cheek.
“I thought we’d left that in the past,” he chuckled, raising an eyebrow at you.
“Believe it or not, but I bought it because it was cute,” you hummed, brushing your fingers up the nape of his neck.
He hummed, closing his eyes and leaning into you. You craned your neck in an attempt to get a better look at his face.
He looked exhausted; faded bags under his eyes, the corners of his mouth downturned, a pale pallor to his skin.
Practice must be tougher than he was letting on.
He was coming home later these days, tired smile on his face as he finally found his way into your arms. Whenever you asked him how practice went, it was always some tangle of frustration, weariness and dissatisfaction. He wanted to do better. Be better.
But this was the big leagues, now. Being exceptional took even more work.
You knew he could handle it. And, most importantly, it’s what he wants; this is the path that he’s been fighting for this entire time.
But you still worried about him. Because of course you would.
He tended to keep things to himself, and he rarely offered up his insecurities willingly. He abhorred his own weakness. The best way to deal with it, in his mind, was to push past it. He didn’t like to linger.
And you’d support him, always; but you also wanted him to be okay.
Because despite all odds, you really did adore that big idiot.
“Hey, ‘Tsumu?” You murmured, running your fingers through his hair.
“Yeah?”
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right?” You bit your lip, heat blooming across your cheeks.
Atsumu opened his eyes and sat up straight. “Where’s this coming from?” He frowned.
You swallowed, unsure of how you wanted to graft these feelings into words. “I just... I get worried about you,” you sighed, pressing your lips together. “I know you’re more than capable of handling things, but I just... I just...” You took a deep breath, resting your head against his shoulder.
“I just want you to know you’re not alone, okay?” You murmured. “You’ve... you’ve got me.”
Atsumu smiled, gracing your forehead with a gentle kiss. He still wasn’t very good at expressing his fondness -- much less his gratitude. But he really was grateful.
Grateful for how much you cared about him. Grateful for how patient you could be with him, even though you were far from a pushover. Grateful for the fact that despite everything -- despite your fraught history together, despite the long nights he lost to practice, despite the unconventional nature of your relationship -- you’re still here. Still with him.
“I know, baby,” is all me managed to say.
There’s another phrase, bubbling just below the surface. Something he’s not quite ready to say; but something he’s been feeling for a long time now.
