kiseok has heard a lot from the older students about how lucky the fountain on campus is. the bottom is regularly cleaned out by maintenance staff after a semester of students wishing for good grades, enough sleep, and good job prospects after graduation. kiseok isn’t very superstitious, but he finds himself staring at the rippling water with a coin in his hand anyway.

what on earth could he wish for? everything kiseok could have ever wanted, he has. safety, food security, a warm place to sleep at night. what else could he ever ask for?

well, a partner might be nice. the thought is amusing enough, and kiseok tosses in his coin just to complete the ritual. he adjusts his bag on his shoulder and turns to head back to his dorm to study- and nearly runs right into another student.

The sky had changed colors, her favorite color, blue was gone and even if it’s something that happened every single day it still amazed Beam the way she walked into that building with the sun dressing every corner with its golden light and the moment she was on the streets again, it was gone with the moon replacing it, this new a subtle light welcomed her and everyday waited for her to walk her home, always watching over her; she envied the moon who was never alone, surrounded by the stars shinning by her side, it was until one of her members rushed to give her a back hug that she realized she was completely zoned out, the girl who was wearing black high waisted pants matching with a black crop top t-shirt and an open olive sweatshirt, could recognize her members just by their smell a skill she was thankful since they always wore hats, sunglasses and masks leaving the building. She waved her members goodbye carefully holding her long board as she reached for her cellphone to text the older man. Good night! I’m out finally out of practice Meet you here? She looked around before hopping to her skateboard immediately heading to their meeting spot, it was at this time where her members usually did homework or studied and since that period of her life was long over for her she always used that time to explore around the city she always dreamed of living. By this time she was familiar with the kind of places that were isolated or only had old visitors. There was a place on top of a small hill with a privileged view of the river and Seoul’s shinning lights, the kind of place where you can hear a coin drop and the best part of it was that it was only a stroll and a hike away. Beam skated around the streets feeling the wind refreshing her and releasing her from the nervousness of the upcoming camp; even if Kiwon and her didn’t really know each other that well to Beam he seemed like someone she could rely on when it came to the kind of judgement she sometimes lacked and there was also something about their differences personality wise that seemed to amuse her. She arrived at the spot she had indicated him, it was just by a parking in front of the han river leaving them just over a mile away from the hill, she sat on the grass daring to remove her sunglasses to get a better glimpse of the landscape and waited for him to show up.

sometimes the building makes san feel too closed in. msg. it’s his home, more than any other building has been. but he’s given so much of himself over to them. the majority of his memories are lost to the halls. hang like ghosts, waiting to haunt him. sometimes it feels worse. sometimes it feels like a possession, a clawing of hands and overwhelming feelings underneath his skin. something he can’t escape. just stretching and aching and losing himself. his body. his lungs. a collapse underneath emotions he’d never learned how to handle. pressures he pretends he can cope with. 

somewhere along the way, he’d started renting out a private dance studio room. a building not too far from his home. a set schedule, blocks of his own time. he has the money for it, and it’s somewhere empty. tranquil. can let his mind spill without the threat of a haunting. it can be easier to meet up with people, too. without having to explain why san needs to let his friends in to practice when there are no collaborations schedules for the nearing future.

san’s in a mood. the kind where he feels caged and overwhelmed. it’s harder than he lets on, the pressure in his company. from management, his mother. he’s been afforded so many opportunities, but it’s a mountain sloped higher. and he can to keep trekking forward. he can’t backslide. what if next time he doesn’t sell enough albums? what if he fucks up? what if he manages to push for something creatively and it’s a huge upset? what will his mother do then? and san thinks, at least milo might be happy then. but that idea feel like hot coals in his gut for reasons he won’t admit. so he sits here, simmering. it’d been why he called kiwon over.

kiwon has a way of distracting people. or, at least distracting san. they don’t always match up. but san wants to climb out of his own head, and kiwon’s usually pretty good about throwing him down a rope. “teach me your new dance,” san asks as soon as kiwon’s in the room and dropping his things to the floor. san’s slumped in a corner. his shirt’s dotted with sweat spots. his legs ache. he probably shouldn’t dance anymore. but it’s his go to. overwork, to reach pain. to collapse into it. and then, into nothingness. a dreamless sort of sleep, and that’s what san’s been deciding lately counts as happiness.

╚ Woodam was known for his high notes and he is the brother of SISTAR member, Soyou. Jinyoung amazed the national producers with his performance of SMTM's I Am Not What You Think where his nickname "Woo Jinyoung micheotji" (Woo Jinyoung is crazy) came from.

╚ After the show, Woodam, Jinyoung and Yonggeun joined another survival show, MIX NINE. Woodam didn't made it to the cut, Yonggeun was eliminated in the 3rd round and Jinyoung actually WON the show, he was in the 1st place set to debut in YG's new group. UNFORTUNATELY, YG and other companies disagreed with the new contract YG set (As far as I know, YG changed the contract saying the winning members of MIX NINE should promote for THREE YEARS which is very impossible for a SURVIVAL SHOW group since they came from different entertainments). This misunderstanding made HF Music file a lawsuit against YG Entertainment (and up until now, there's no result yet). Like, guys Jinyoung BEGGED YG for another chance during MIX NINE cause he is so determined to debut. He did well during the show and got the 1st place but YG suddenly fucked up. (Sorry, I'm just mad at YG for not letting MIX NINE debut)

╚  AND here's the good news, Woodam, Jinyoung, Woncheol and Yonggeun is in a group under HF Music called HNB

╚ Before entering the show, he is a member of the boy group toppdogg where he use his stage name, A-Tom. After PD101, Sangkyun joined JBJ and promoted for 7 months. Lee Youjin, one of the eliminated trainees from Produce 101, held a live broadcast on Namoo Actors V App channel last night! He answered fan questions and talked about his time in Produce 101 so here are some highlights about what he said about the other trainees.

Fan Questions:

The trainees he was closest to were his roommates at the start of the program! He roomed with Yoon Jisung, Kim Sihyun, Lee Hoorim, Kim Hyunwoo from YG K+. He couldn’t give Jisung a call bc he was probably busy (the only one left on the show).

He talked about how he was the leader twice during (for Be Mine team 2 and Rhythm Ta). He thought being leader would be easy bc he only needed to guide and lead the other members but it was a lot more difficult than he thought.

For Be Mine, he couldn’t really help the other members with learning the dance so he felt sorry towards them. Maybe if he had chosen an easier song they wouldn’t have had such a hard time. “Truthfully i couldn’t be of any help to the others, but through our struggles we got closer and did well.“

He really likes Park Jaebum’s (Jay Park) style so that’s the reason why he chose some of the concepts that he did on PD101! He wanted to be sexy like him (t/n: I think he’s talking about his performance evaluation)

The staff played Pick Me in the background but since he was caught off guard, he was able to dance only part of it. He said the trainees practiced it so much he could do the dance in his sleep.

He promised to try and call Taewoo later! He’s in a group chat with Taewoo and Taemin so they talk a lot. They’re really fun and interesting.

The staff set up a bracket board to see who Youjin’s pick was among his fellow contestants on PD101. When he saw the board he said, “Wow, this is like picking for the World Cup.”

Lee Woojin vs. Kim Yongguk vs. Jung Sewoon (he said Woojin is cute but Sewoon really helped him with the hardships of being a leader. Even though they weren’t close, they talked and texted so he was really touched. That’s why he picked Sewoon)

Lee Insoo vs. Hong Eunki vs. Kang Daniel (he chose Daniel bc he was the leader for 열어줘 and taught them a lot. Youjin said everyone in the group was already good so he had to match them well)

Kim Donghyun vs. Im Youngmin vs. Joo Jinwoo (he depended on Youngmin a lot during Be Mine and is very thankful towards him)

Kang Dongho vs. Takada Kenta vs. Kim Taewoo (he picked Taewoo bc he’s funny, sings well, and is bright. He got really close to him during the show)

Lee Kiwon vs. Yoon Heeseok vs. Kim Seonglee (he picked Seonglee and said he had enough skills to compete in any program. During practice he would lift the mood and make the trainees happy but it wasn’t broadcasted)

Lee Gwanghyun vs. Park Sungwoo (he picked Sungwoo and pet the sticker with his face on it lolol. Although Sungwoo endured a lot, he was always by Youjin’s side. They were together for Be Mine and also for 열어줘 before being eliminated. Even though Youjin was having a hard time too, he felt sorry for not being able to help him)

A fan asked about the meaning of his username nay_kid and he said it meant something like “live a sincere life.” Another way of saying “no” was “nay” and “kid” is to remind him of his dreams when he was a student.

When he reached 50k hearts, he got really shy from all the love.

A fan asked if he was okay and he said yes, he’s okay and will even get checked up at the hospital so do not worry!

He has 7 self-composed songs so far! He has a lot more songs he wants to make but he doesn’t have a room for it. He wants to upload 2 songs in one month on his soundcloud.

A fan asked “you know you’re handsome, right?” and he said no, he didn’t find himself handsome but he does like how he looks and personally thinks he’s cute!

A fan asked if he was thinking about releasing an album but he said that although he wants to, he wants to work on the quality of his music a bit more and in order to release an album, he needs the support of the public/community so he’ll just upload the album on soundcloud. That way, it’s free for everyone to listen to!

He has two sisters, one older who cooks well and one younger by 6 years. He’s a bit cold like his father but his mother and older sister like to take care of him. He never fights with his sisters. Since his younger sister is still young, he hopes she studies diligently and doesn’t drink alcohol. His and his older sister’s hair looks similar. He wants to care for his younger sister too but he doesn’t really know how.

He’s holding an event where he’s giving away items that he uses often, these includes a tracksuit he wears (for girls it may be a bit big but it’ll be warm! size 100), sunglasses, and some signed selfie polaroids.

He showed the viewers the items one by one. The sunglasses were in a case with a zipper and when he opened it the zipper fell off LMAO he kept saying it wasn’t fake, the zipper just happened to fall off bc he pulled too hard and kept laughing lololol

He had the viewers guess who his favorite artist was and promised to gift them the tracksuit! He said even tho he’s worn it, he’ll keep it very clean.

His favorite artist is Giriboy! He said when others are stressed, they may drink but he listens to Giriboy’s music instead. He really admires all of his music, it inspires him. He can sing all of his songs; his favorite by him is called “All Day Long” but not many people know it.

The second prize was the sunglasses. There’s a play he always watches every year ever since the 12th grade, he wants to participate in one bc of it. (t/n: the fans were able to guess what is was but I couldn’t really catch the name of it, sorry)

Third prize was a signed polaroid selfie! When he took the selfie and waited for it to show up on film, he kept shaking it and when he realized he wasn’t supposed to shake it, he got embarrassed.

He wrote one of his songs after watching a specific movie (t/n: I couldn’t hear the title sorry) but the song is called “Why Don’t You Call Me”.

He had a lot of fun doing the V Live bc he knows how it feels to be a fan of another person and watch their broadcasts, now he can be the one doing the broadcast and it’s fun!

He wants to take on a high school student role in his acting career bc when he’s older he won’t be able to act as a student.

He eats alone and doesn’t have a favorite food but the foods he can’t eat is tomato sauce and mustard.

His least favorite season is summer bc he dislikes mosquitoes. He likes winter bc there’s snow and Christmas. It gives him a warm and cozy feeling.

When he was younger he really liked Harry Potter, his favorite part of the series was Chamber of Secrets! (This was another quiz question for the viewers, he gave away another signed selfie polaroid)

Broduce 101: Episode 8 First Half (Quick Livestream Recap)

Since I missed the first half of the livestream, here’s a quick recap off the raw. I’ll link this to the second half recap too.

Before elimination heartbreaks, they’d served some fanservice to numb the pain with a bit from when BoA came to visit before position evals.

She brought them pizza! The boys had a collective breakdown of food appreciation, and we see a brilliantly photoshopped press picture of BoA holding up pizzas like an angel, like Kim Youjin clearly imagines.

Jung Jung, at the brink of tears: WHY IS IT SO DELICIOUS

They’re just happy to be around her, which is fully understandable. She does a little happy dance as they chant for her, and mingles with the trainees (there’s a nice shot of the Amazing Kiss group talking to her) before leaving them to their food.

Sidenote: the cameras always catch Noh Taehyun in the background, and he’s always unintentionally pulling the ugliest faces possible, unaware he’s in the shot.

Cube Chick Yoo Seonho is by far the happiest, putting away as much pizza as he could to compensate for only getting three meals a day at dorms. He’s obviously at that age where you eat everything in sight, it reminds me of my brother.

Cut to eliminations day and shots of tears. Okay, the warm and fuzzies have disappeared.

Protect Them.

Tension building and then cut to concept evaluation song distributions.

They keep playing up the fact that Jihoon dropped ranks...are they egging the fangirls to have a flatout fight?

This way of arranging missions, with distributing trainees into teams and then shuffling after half of them leave is stupid and could be avoided if they split up the mission footage better. The show could fully have filler episodes between missions at this level of popularity so the vote timing and mission preparation could be allocated efficiently. 

Imagine working at a song and then having to start over a few days later. It’s ridiculous.

Songs are introduced by their producers. The viewers have been voting to match the songs to their favourite trainees for this mission. 

I’d said earlier that the idea was just going to incite some kind of fuckery, with fans not used to this amount of legitimate power. Sure enough, there was cheating involved so Kang Daniel, Lee Kiwon and Kim Dongbin were banned from their leaked song preferences.

Honestly, the cat emoji morse code was great. It’s one of my top controversies this season. 

First up is my personal favourite of the song concepts, I Know You Know, produced by heavyweight producer Joombas (who is famously responsible for Exo’s Growl, SHINee’s Dream Girl and also apparently worked with HOTSHOT). I’m all about the funky R&Bish vibe: not the kind of song that tops charts, but probably stays there a while. Watch this song be ignored though lol

Second is Oh Little Girl, a name even the producer draws quote marks around. This is the song for the hip-hop concept, and has a jazzy easy listening feel.

Next is Showtime, coming from a trio of newer or less popular producers. This seems catchy, but it sounds very familiar - not a song I’d remember. The choreo looks fun though, and they reference Dongmyung’s warm up! The trainees love it, cracking up as they mimic the move.

Fourth are another famous producer group, Devine Channel, who I believe do a lot of SM’s songs. They’ve also done a lot of very trendy title songs, including BTS’ Fire and VIXX’s The Closer. I think the English title for this song is Open? Correct me if I’m wrong. It sounds great, oddly like something I might have heard from Nu’est. I’m looking forward to this too, the choreo looks great.

Fifth song is from the producers that get the most hype, Hyuna’s new charity project from Cube, Triple H’s Never. Auntie Jisung decides he wants the song because Hyuna is involved, which, honestly, same. The EDM structure also feels overdone but I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be the song that gets maximum hype since there’s no ballad.

Trainees get allocated their songs in envelopes and have to go to wait in separate practice spaces for the rest of their team.

Jaehwan doesn’t want to be in same team as Hyunbin, which I understand, considering that he’s had to carry him twice already. Like the other trainees, he wants to work with GodJonghyun. 

Pretty boys Bae Jinyoung, Park Jihoon and Ahn Hyungseob get sorted together. Maybe their fans have been working in sync. They also get excited puppy Gunhee, which means their vocals will be taken care of. 

Once the trainees all gather, their songs are revealed. Byun Hyunmin decides to rip the sticker for his room and accidentally pulls off the whole thing.

All the trainees: cAREFULLY 

The group gets Showtime, which was Samuel’s pick. He’s ecstatic.

Minhyun’s room has their sticker peel by Emperor Hwang to reveal Never, which pleases most of them. 

Park Jihoon’s room has a breakdown before Dongbin peels the sticker to show Oh Little Girl, a song I can see Sewoon do well in. The Yuehua trainees are all in this team too.

Moonbok has a braid in his lovely hair this segment, it looks fire emoji.

Hyunbin’s room has I Know You Know. Taedong, who has a lower range than the song needs, is nervous.

Baekho’s group gets Open, which most of the trainees are excited about. Seunglee in particular is relieved, since it was one of his picks. 

We go into centre struggles for the killing part.

Oh Little Girl has Jihoon battling Euiwoong and Minki. They all demonstrate, and vote Jihoon and Minki as their preferred centres. 

Euiwoong is getting worried. He’s one of the only initial popular trainees that seems to be dropping down ranks every week. Kahi gives him a much needed confidence boost at dance check in, and Don Mills praises him at vocal check in too.

Product placement break.

Open team wants a dance focus trainee as leader because of the high level choreo and elect Daniel, who now probably understands what he needs to do to lead his group after faltering last mission. 

But the team has so many people that they split into two halves while leaning choreo and one team falls behind since Daniel doesn’t split his attention between the two initially

Kahi calls them out on the distinction, with one group lagging while the first one does great. The second half, which has Park Sungwoo, who we know needs a lot of focused help, starts to catch up after the whole team gets scolded.

There are so many trainees in this team that won’t survive eliminations, oh god. 

Kim Seunglee, you deserve better.

Showtime group has a lot of strong singers. Woodam wants to be main vocal, and Yoo Hwiseung needs that vocal hype boost since his rank is risky too. 

Auntie Jisung: I want to try to do it too.

They start talking about the need for facial expressions and singing, Samuel wants to lowkey be centre. They need to have impact to bring the concept across, they decide.

Auntie Jisung: I still want to try though!

They ask the trainees to sing and do some face expression to pick centre and main vocal. Jisung and Samuel share centre while Woodam and Hwiseung share main vocal.

Coach Shin Yumi likes Hwiseung’s control over the notes better. He’s a lot more stable than Woodam, maybe because his natural tone is stronger?

Never team has Ha Sungwoon being worried about being in a team with high ranking trainees, most of who want to be centre. 

They all battle with facial expressions but the trainees vote for Guanlin and Minhyun as centre.

At dance check in with Dabbing Ajusshi Kwon Jaesung, however, Sungwoon is the first one to volunteer to dance. 

He gets some well deserved praise for it, which honestly, the kid needs. Being in a group of trainees that are all popular is awful enough, but he’s a true all rounder. Without enough screentime or helpful editing, he’s been fading despite being good looking and a consistent performer. 

More product placement.

I Know You Know team has the underdog feel straight up, with the lower ranking trainees. I called the song as not being the kind to be popular.

Appealing time for the centre spot. RBW Hwanwoong stands out. Ah, my heart. Donghan and Hwanwoong get centre.

Dance check in with Kahi has her appreciating their hard work. Hyunbin’s dancing seems to have improved, I guess being cyber bullied has that effect on you. She also thinks Hwanwoong is a good centre choice, which is some well deserved praise. 

Tears and mournful instrumentals are abound as the low ranking trainees recount their experience before for upcoming eliminations. We get flashbacks for some of them, which should prepare you for what’s coming.

8 Foods That Can Boost Your Metabolism

Watching your waistline? Reach for these foods to crank up your fat-burning potential.

When it comes to losing weight, metabolism plays a key role. Put simply, metabolism is the process by which your body converts food to energy and, thus, burns calories. While it’s unlikely that a slow metabolism is to blame for steadily-increasing numbers on the scale, what you eat and drink—in addition to your level of physical activity—does have an impact.

As it turns out, choosing certain foods can help put you on the fat-blasting path.

“When you eat foods that contain protein, your body expends more energy to metabolize this protein,” says Amy Gorin, RDN.

Tea

If you’re looking to rev up your fat-burning potential, reaching for a cup of hot tea—specifically the green variety—could be the way to go.

“Regularly drinking green tea may increase metabolism because of the caffeine and catechins it contains,” says Gorin.

Research published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that green tea extract may provide a small boost in metabolism for up to 24 hours.[1]

“Green tea contains a particular type of catechin called EGCG that contributes to the tea’s ability to promote fat oxidation and increase metabolism beyond just the effects of caffeine alone” Gorin says.

However, results could differ on a case-by-case basis.

“Catechins may have different effects on metabolism depending on your ethnicity,” Gorin explains. “For example, research suggests that Caucasians are less sensitive to the metabolic effects than Asians.”[2]

Eggs

Jumpstart your metabolism first thing in the morning by including eggs as part of your breakfast. Not only can they be cooked up in a variety of ways (meaning you’ll never get bored of them), but the protein-packed yolks can give your metabolism a nice little boost, while keeping you satiated.[3] In fact, a 2008 study found that participants who included an egg breakfast as part of a healthy weight-loss diet lost significantly more weight than those participants who ate a calorie-matched meal without eggs.[4]

Chicken Breast

We know that eating—the act of chewing, swallowing, and breaking down food—expends energy, but not all calories are made (or spent) equally.

“When you eat foods that contain protein, your body expends more energy to metabolize and store this protein,” says Gorin.

In comparison to the 5-10 percent of total calories it takes to break down carbs and the 0-3 percent it takes to break down fats, protein takes the most energy to digest. A whopping 20-30 percent of total calories that come from your protein source are used to digest it. Chicken breast makes for a great lean protein source, and it can be prepped in a variety of ways: Throw a pound in the crock pot for shredded tacos, dice it up with some veggies to throw on the grill for kabobs, or bake it in the oven alongside a tasty sweet potato.

Red Pepper

Research shows that eating spicy foods may help keep your metabolism humming. Several studies have shown that adding red pepper (anywhere from 6-10 grams) to your meal can increase energy expenditure, while also decreasing appetite at subsequent meals.[5,6]

Pick your heat of choice. The capsaicin found in chili peppers and paprika has been shown to boost metabolic rates and decrease cholesterol absorption, while increasing fat-metabolizing enzymes. Looking for other hot ways to give your metabolism a boost? Reach for some Tabasco sauce, add a chili-powder rub to your chicken, or dip your chips in hot (not mild) salsa.

Beans

Next time you’re looking to turn that side salad into a full meal, or looking for a quick dish to add to your meal that won’t come at a high calorie cost, think beans. Beans are a good source of fiber, protein, and B vitamins.

B vitamins play an important role in converting food into fuel, allowing us to stay energized throughout the day. With 15 grams of protein, 15 grams of fiber, and only 227 calories per cup serving, a helping of black beans will help you feel full longer and come at a low-calorie cost.

Coffee

“Drinking a cup of coffee in the morning can do more than just keep you awake, it can also aid in healthy weight management,” says Bodybuilding.com science editor Krissy Kendall, PhD.

Caffeine, the active ingredient in coffee, has been shown in multiple studies to boost metabolism and increase the rate of fat breakdown.[7,8] Consider replacing the milk or water in your overnight oats with a cup of coffee. It’s definitely a case where two is better than one.

“In addition to the energy and metabolism pick-me-up you’ll get with the coffee, the fiber in the oats can help slow down digestion and keep you full longer,” Kendall adds.

Greek Yogurt

Not only is Greek yogurt packed with protein, but it’s an excellent source of calcium.

“We often think of calcium as a bone-building mineral, but it can also provide a small increase in thermogenesis, allowing your body to burn more calories,” Kendall says.

Multiple studies have shown that diets higher in calcium can lead to greater reductions in fat mass when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and exercise.[9,10] If Greek yogurt isn’t your thing, opt for regular plain yogurt, low-fat milk, or cottage cheese.

Salmon

This fatty fish is an excellent source of omega-3s, which is key if you’re looking to crank up your metabolism.

“EPA and DHA, two essential fatty acids found in omega-3s, can have a positive effect on leptin—a hormone that regulates metabolism rate,” Kendall says.

Studies have shown that diets higher in omega-3s can have favorable effects on body composition by increasing metabolic rate, energy expenditure during exercise, and lean mass.[11-13]

kiwon is a study in lethargy, because waiting around for the encore stage when member schedules had required them to film nearly first means hours upon hours spent hunched in the waiting room over his phone. at fansigns he says he spends his time backstage reading, or doing yoga, or something equally life-affirming, but the god’s honest truth is that more often than not he’s just mindlessly scrolling clickbait articles and adding things to virtual shopping carts. sometimes he takes pictures, or stupid videos. plays with camera settings or filters or lenses or angles. but mostly, it’s things like buzzfeed. 

because while gun might have to go off for some interview or daein for some acting shoot, jinsung for whatever of the thousand opportunities call out to his multi-talented soul, kiwon just....doesn’t do much. fans talk about it. how he’s not really, you know, doing anything. how he seems to be wasted. that’s the narrative right now. that kjh doesn’t know what to do with him, that they’re wasting talent. but kiwon knows the truth. 

and the truth is he works best in a group. he’s not meant to stand alone. in any other group he’d be a lead vocal/lead dance, at best. he’s only got the vocal role because the songs don’t require that much of them, and what they do require matches the tone of his voice impeccably, these days, because gun or someone is writing it specifically with him in mind. maybe that’s the upside of a heavily invested producer. its another reason to hate gun though, for making himself so unhateable. the little urchin. 

today daein is similarly un-contracted, for the moment, so he’s slouching down on the couch beside the other man. tall and broad and boyishly handsome, it’s always been something of a personal trauma for kiwon that daein is so unflinchingly disinterested in him (on a more than friendly level) but the truth is crossing a boundary like that wouldn’t do him any good. daein needs someone to love, violently, and kiwon would be so swept up in it he’d dash against the rocks like a boat on the shore. “what’re you doing?” he asks, nosy as ever, all but ramming his face into an angle that will allow him to peruse the boy’s phone screen. “is it rian noona? you’re really in over your head.” he tuts slightly, chuckling a little bit as he crosses one ankle over the other, heels propped on the waiting room table. “you guys are filming for that netflix thing right? how’s it been going?” he glances askance at him before adding, “unless you don’t want to talk about it.” he pats his hand lightly at the other’s leg, withdraws it. he knows more than many and with less judgement, that daein feels more than a stoic expression shows.

To Dark to Be Seen

In listening, but especially in reading the interview by Damali Ayo it made me reflect and think about my own childhood particularly kindergarten.  In the interview, Damali talks about her idea of wanting to make paint to match her skin, a seemingly simple idea/request the turns out to be reflective of deeper issues such as race and racism, and this stood as the conceptual foundation of her work. In reading, I was immediately able to connect particularly when she spoke of wanting to have a paint to match her skin, and that she grew up in a primarily white town so wanted to see herself represented. The kindergarten I attended was primarily white and in a new surrounding for me, and the one thing I distinctly remember about that time was arts and crafts. I liked to draw like most other kids, and often times our assignments would revolve around drawing people such as our families. That was something I always found difficult and caused me to pose a lot of questions. Growing up and always being referred to as “black” it was a concept I never understood. I would look at my skin and see that it was not black but rather brown. It was something that bothered me, and I tried to fight and question, but would always be resolved with the answer “that is just what they call us” and “ hat is how it is”. So in an attempt to draw myself and family members, at first I would attempt to use a black crayon. However every time I used black, I couldn’t see any of the important and distinctive details I had created to differentiate each person from one another. When I used black the black took over. And all you could see was black. No details, no individuality, just black characters of different height. This bothered me so naturally, I attempted to color skin using brown, as I found it to be a truer representation of myself anyways. But alas I would get the same results. Too dark to acknowledge the details. Meanwhile, all my classmates would use the “skin” colors such as apricot and peach colored crayons allowing them to create their own masterful pictures in a manner they felt was truly representative to them, without having to worry about their color taking over the picture. Rather they were able to let their own individualistic details shine, and color simply added to it, as it should. This also made me think about Minji Kiwon’s reading about being in the “Wrong Place”. Cause at that time I truly felt I was in the wrong place. I felt my art looked substantially worse than those around me. And did not believe it was because they were a better artist than me, but simply because they weren’t carrying the extra baggage of darker skin color. I’m starting to ramble, but long story short I simply started coloring in my people with “skin” colors of apricot and peach as I was tired of my work being looked at as the second tier. Even though it wasn’t representative of me, it was repressive of the environment I was in and I did not see another way to thrive, other than to adapt.  At the time I would not have considered this place “the wrong place” and even now I do not regret it, as I made many friends and memories there exposing me to another side of life that helped me become the person I am today. However, I would how different things could have been if I had something to match my skin color. Or if I had been more aware of things such as race and racism, would I have been so quick to conform? Should I have done something different? Should someone more representative of myself have stepped in for something as small as kindergarten arts and crafts? Questions that’ll never be answered but will be forever left to ponder.

Jeu de Go : AlphaGo remporte le « combat du siècle »

A l’issue d’un match indécis jusqu’à son terme, AlphaGo s’impose face au sud-coréen Lee Sedol.

  Le Go est un jeu qui se joue à deux, et à la fin, c’est AlphaGo qui gagne. Quelques mois après s’être défait du champion européen Fan Hui, le programme informatique britannique a remporté une nouvelle victoire en cinq manches – par abandon – 4-1, face au sud-coréen Lee Sedol, considéré comme le meilleur joueur du monde (9e dan professionnel, niveau maximal). Ce « combat du siècle », également surnommé Google DeepMind Challenge Match restera dans les annales.

La rencontre s’est déroulée dans une des salles du Four Season Hotel de Séoul, en Corée du Sud. Elle fût très médiatisée, puisque suivie par de nombreux fans aux quatre coins du monde, avec des commentaires en coréen, japonais, chinois et anglais. Les plateformes en ligne ont recueilli jusqu’à 60 millions de spectateurs. Du jamais vu pour une rencontre de Go.

Avant l’ultime manche, AlphaGo menait assez largement trois manches à une. Mais c’est bel et bien ce dernier affrontement qui fût le plus disputé. Le programme, qui jouait en blanc, a d’abord commencé par une « grosse erreur » d’après Demis Hassabis, le fondateur de DeepMind. Son adversaire coréen s’est alors engouffré dans la brèche et adopta une stratégie similaire à celle qui lui avait permis de remporter la manche précédente, deux jours auparavant. AlphaGo a bien résisté aux attaques du coréen (coup 69 et 81) avant de reprendre lentement l’avantage, grâce à des coups jugés inhabituels mais impressionnants et subtils. Conscient que la situation s’aggravait pour lui, Lee Sedol joua le tout pour le tout et tenta une « Hail Mary Pass », en vain. Le programme informatique britannique contint alors ensuite très intelligemment les velléités de son adversaire, jusqu’à l’abandon de ce dernier, au coup 280. C’est donc au terme de près de 5h de combat qu’AlphaGo s’est imposé, à la surprise générale.

Jamais une Intelligence Artificielle n’avait réussi à battre un champion humain de Go. Le jeu était d’ailleurs le dernier à être dans ce cas. AlphaGo entre donc dans l’Histoire par la grande porte.

Au-delà de l’affrontement, c’est aussi pour la prime de 1 million de dollars que cet évènement restera gravé dans l’Histoire. Google DeepMind, le propriétaire d’AlphaGo a assuré que le prix serait reversé à des associations, dont l’UNICEF et des organisations en lien avec le jeu de Go. De son côté, Lee Sedol a touché la coquette somme de 170 000 dollars, pour sa participation et sa victoire dans la quatrième manche, qu’il a d’ailleurs qualifiée, amer, de victoire « sans prix ».

Suite à ce tremblement de terre dans l’univers du Go, la fédération coréenne de Go (Hanguk Kiwon) a décerné à AlphaGo le 9e dan professionnel, à titre honorifique. De son côté, le gouvernement sud-coréen s’est décidé à investir mille milliards de won (plus de 800 millions d’euros) pour la recherche en intelligence artificielle dans les cinq prochaines années.

AlphaGo a annoncé qu’il voulait affronter le champion du monde actuel, le chinois Ke Jie, avant de prendre sa retraite. Une rencontre qui devrait se tenir le 27 mai prochain. Le rendez-vous est pris donc, pour tous les fans de Go, qui attendent déjà cet affrontement qui s’annonce mémorable.

Korean Survival Show

Selamat hari Minggu!

Jadi, hari ini aku gatel pengen cerita tentang ajang survival di Korea karena kemarin Mixnine akhirnya final dan Jinyoung debut:3 Yeay!

Mungkin kalau di Korea ini cuma ajang survival biasa. Cuma entah kenapa aku malah suka semua peserta yang ada di acara-acara ini. Malah kayak 1 grup menurutku sih. Perusak list bias memang wkwk

1. Produce 101 Season 1

Produce 101 Season 1 ini ajang survival yang tayang awal 2016 di channel Mnet.

Jadi disini ada 101 peserta dari berbagai perusahaan. Mereka ini bukan bentukan satu agensi gitu. Nanti dipilih 11 trainee untuk debut berjangka gitu.

Grup debutnya adalah I.O.I alias Ideal of Idol. Anggotanya ada Somi, Sejeong, Yoojung, Chungha, Sohye, Kyulkyung, Chaeyeon, Doyeon, Mina, Nayoung, dan Yeonjung. Mereka lumayan eksis lah ya, untuk pendatang baru. Karena mereka cantik-cantik, terus berbakat juga.

Sejujurnya, aku nonton acara ini karena aku nonton Season 2 nya duluan. Dan itu bener-bener bagus dan bikin nagih wkwk Jadi karena aku kepo, aku nonton deh season pertamanya. Ternyata setelah dibandingkan ya... aku lebih suka season 2 sih wkwk Cuma trainee disini bener-bener cantik.

Kalau ditanya siapa ultimatum biasku disini, jawabannya banyak!

Di awal, aku suka banget sama trainee Cube yang nampilin Crazy nya 4minute. Itu bener-bener bagus gaes! Jeon Soyeon bener-bener Crazy dan Eunbin cantik bener lah di evaluasi pertama ini<3 Aku juga suka sama Jellyfish trainee karena suara mereka beneran bagus. Sejeong, Nayoung, Mina. Sayangnya Nayoung nggak debut gaes:(

Dan semakin ke belakang, aku sih suka Sejeong, Doyeon, dan Chungha. Chungha ini beneran cuek, sering banget nggak make up, polosan gitu. Tapi tetep kelihatan cantik! Mereka sih debut di I.O.I

Kalau bias yang nggak debut, jelas CUBE Soyeon, Jellyfish Nayoung, LOEN Soyeon, Pledis Siyeon. Kalau mereka bisa debut di I.O.I sih, pasti I.O.I lebih meledak lagi. Mereka lebih berbakat dan nggak kalah cantik kok.

Selain I.O.I ternyata para fans juga membuat beberapa trainee lainnya debut dengan nama I.B.I. Cuma kayanya sih sebentar doang mereka debutnya.

Sayangnya sekarang I.O.I udah bubar dan mereka udah punya grup masing-masing.

Sejeong dan Mina di Gugudan.

Nayoung dan Kyulkyung di Pristin.

Doyeon dan Yoojung di Wekimeki.

Chaeyeon tetap di DIA.

Yeonjung di WJSN.

Chungha bersolo karir.

Sohye main di drama web karena dia emang dari agensi aktris sih.

Somi nih dari JYP tapi belum debut juga. Cuma dia eksis sih nongol di banyak acara reality show. Semoga Somi cepat debut yaaaa!

2. Produce 101 Season 2

Yang kedua nih! Sebenernya ajang survival pertama yang aku tonton tuh ya ini! Aku pun nontonnya setelah acara ini tamat dan udah mengungkap finalis yang akan debut. Dan entah kenapa bikin nagih. Aku udah ngulang nonton acara ini lebih dari 5x wkwk sampai hafal.

Kalau ditanya biasnya, semua! 101 trainee semua biasku. Lebih dari 70 trainee aku hafal namanya gais bayangkannnnn. Dan untunglah aku nonton pas udah final. Kalau nggak pasti bakalan bingung banget mau dukung siapa buat debut.

Sama kayak season sebelumnya, dari 101 finalis diambil 11 trainee untuk debut. Grup debutnya bernama Wanna One dan mereka akan bubar akhir 2018 ini guys:( Nggak tega sumpeh. Terlalu suka dengan Wanna One. Aku kudu ottokeeee.....

Dari sekian banyaka acara survival di Korea, kayanya sih yang dapat perhatian paling besar itu ya Produce 101 Season 2 ini. Buktinya waktu debut Wanna One langsung jadi Monster Rookie gitu.

Mungkin penyebabnya karena publik teribat langsung gitu kali ya, dalam voting, dalam pemilihan lagu juga. Bahkan sampai debutnya Wanna One masih memperhitungkan suara publik guys.

Dan acara ini beda dari yang lain karena selain kumpulan dari banyak agensi, di acara ini juga lebih nayangin story behind trainee gitu. Jadi kita kayak tau kedekatan antar trainee, kegiatan mereka, permasalahan mereka.

Mnet ini beneran jago kalau masalah evil editing. Cuma ini yang bikin Produce 101 Season 2 jadi menarik. Bahkan season 1 aja nggak se evil itu editnya. Di season 2 beneran deh... bikin geregetan. Tapi seru. Konflik diantara mereka bahkan ditayangin nggak kayak di acara lainnya.

Sewaktu aku nonton, pertamanya sih aku suka Ong karena dia tampan dan berani haha. Terus suka Jisung dan Kang Daniel trainee berambut pink. Cuma semakin ke belakang, malah makin suka sama mereka<3 Pokoknya semua biasku lah!

Kalau trainee yang aku suka tapi gagal debut di Wanna One sih.... siapa ya? Susah:( Semua suka.......

Di Korea sih yang disayangkan nggak debut itu Brave Samuel, Pledis Jonghyun, dan Starship Sewoon. Iya sih, mereka selalu ada di dekat 11 trainee cuma sayang gagal debut:( Gapapa sih, sekarang mereka udah bisa debut di agensi masing-masing kok. Selamat!

Dan semoga Wanna One bisa semakin sukses yaaaa. Doakan Wannable juga supaya kuat menghadapi kenyataan Wanna One disband akhir 2018 ini:”””

Ohiya, selain Wanna One fans juga membentuk grup lain semacam I.B.I gitu. Bahkan ada 2 grup dengan kontrak yang lebih lama juga. JBJ dan Rainz.

Dan aku nggak nyangka kalau antusias publik ke mereka cukup besar. Apalagi JBJ. JBJ udah hampir setara kayak I.O.I gitu. Udah kayak grup debut utama aja. Sayang Taedong nggak bisa debut bareng JBJ karena agensi dafuq nya:”

JBJ ini rata-rata masuk 35 besar dan karena mereka dekat juga fans jadi bentuk mereka deh. Mereka ini grup lawak gaes, percayalah. Untungnya agensi yang menangani mereka bagus ya... bahkan lebih bagus dari Wanna One hikz.

Ini Rainz nih. Tadinya cuma 6 anggota eh malah jadi 7. Terbailik sama JBJ:(

Grup ini rata-rata cuma sampai 60 besar. Kecuali my lovely Sunghyuk yang sampai 35 besar. Woontak sama Daehyeon yang tereliminasi tahap 1.

Rainz ini nggak kalah kok sama Wanna One dan JBJ. Rainz ini punya vocal yang kuat. Tengoklah Sunghyuk, Kiwon, Seongri, Woontak. Mereka nyanyi dengan merdunya di Produce 101 Season 2. Aku jatuh cinta sama suaranya Seongri di Call Me Baby. Dan Sunghyuk yang suka nangis.... Uh!

3. No Mercy

Setelah nonton Produce 101 aku akhirnya mulai berburu ajang survival lainnya. Dan akhirnya aku nonton No Mercy nya Starship. Mereka sekarang debut dengan nama Monsta X. Anggotanya itu ada Shownu, Jooheon, Ki Hyun, Wonho, Hyungwon, I.M, dan Minhyuk.

Awalnya ada 12 trainee disini. Mereka selalu dipanggil sesuai peringkat mereka gitu. 1-12. Mungkin No Mercynya disini kali ya. Selebihnya sih sama kayak ajang survival lainnya.

Bahkan ada evaluasi yang bikin choreo sendiri untuk timnya. Dan itu bener-bener bagus. Coba deh cek di Youtube. Grupnya Shownu pakai tema kabur dari penjara, terus grupnya Wonho pakai tema profesor gitu. Keren!

Oh! Setelah banyak yang tereliminasi, Starship malah nambah 1 trainee baru yang bikin trainee lainnya geram.

Saat itu sih aku mikirnya pasti I.M (trainee yang datang diakhir dan berhasil debut) bakalan nggak akur sama anggota Monsta X lainnya. Tapi ternyata.... mereka selalu berhasil ketawa karena I.M si maknae yang savage.

Setelah baca-baca banyak review, netizen menilai No Mercy ini cukup kejam karena manggil para trainee nya berdasarkan rangking. Acara ini juga sering dinilai berlebihan karena menampilkan Shownu yang mendadak ketemu GOT7 karena dulu dia dicalonkan debut bareng GOT7 tapi gagal. Terus masalah nambah trainee di tengah juga. Dan mereka banyak melibatkan artis lain kayak K.Will, Sistar, Vasco, Giriboy, dan siapa lagi lupa artisnya Starship dan rapper lain.

Aku sih nonton pas udah terbentuk Monsta X jadi ya suka-suka aja...

Biasku diawal itu Jooheon karena dia imut banget gaes wkwk padahal dia rapper... Tapi semakin kesini aku semakin suka I.M dan Kihyun. Suaranya Kihyun itu lho.... padahal tampangnya dia yang paling menyeramkan kayak ibu tiri wkwk

Ke depannya, mari dukung Monsta X yeep!

Dan ONF juga. Minkyung trainee No Mercy sekarang udah debut bareng ONF lhoooo

4. Mix & Match

Sebenernya Mix & Match ini kelanjutan dari WIN. Jadi di acara survival WIN: Who Is Next itu ada 2 team yang bersaing untuk debut. Dan tim yang gagal debut di WIN akhirnya kembali ikut acara survival untuk akhirnya bisa debut.

Sama kayak di NO Mercy, disini YG tiba-tiba nambah trainee baru setelah trainee baru. Bahkan 3 orang. Dan ini membuat B.I sebagai leader jadi stres berat.

Kata orang sih acara ini kejam... tapi menurutku nggak terlalu sih.... Mungkin kejam bagi iKon karena sebelumnya udah dibentuk team B di WIN tapi malah ada trainee lain di Mix & Match. Jadi mereka harus bersaing 2x  YG disini terlalu mengelukan B.I, Bobby, dan Jinhwan. Mungkin karena mereka adalah trainee terbaik disana.

Akhirnya mereka debut dengan nama iKon dengan 7 anggota B.I, Bobby, Jinhwan, Junhee, Yunhyeong, Chanwoo, dan Donghyuk.

Awalnya disini aku suka B.I karena leadershipnya. Tapi lama-lama aku suka Bobby karena friendly dan peka. Dan aku suka Go Junhee karena suaranya yang khas! Uh! Lagu-lagunya iKon ini lho bagus-bagus.... Sayang mereka lama comebacknya.

Mereka habis comeback deng kemarin ini dengan lagu Love Scenario. Jangan lupa dengerin yap!

Dengerin lagunya pentagon juga! Hongseok, trainee baru di Mix & Match ini akhirnya masuk Cube dan debut bersama Pentagon!

5. WIN: Who Is Next

Sebelum nonton Mix & Match lebih baik sih nonton WIN dulu ya. Untuk mengenal team B lebih dekat.

Jadi disini ada 2 team yang bersaing untuk debut. Mereka sama-sama trainee YG dan sama-sama berbakat.

Acara ini dinilai survival paling kejam. Mungkin karena per grup dan banyak hal nggak terduga. Kayak waktu battle sama JYP tapi mereka nggak dikasih tau siapa yang akan battle. Pokoknya disuruh persiapan aja gitu.

Team A akhirnya debut dari WIN dengan nama WINNER. Dan mereka beneran jadi Winner guys! Mereka berhasil jadi grup idol tercepat yang ternominasi untuk bawa trophy di acara musik. Lagu mereka juga selalu hitz.

Dibanding iKon, kayaknya Winner ini anak kesayangannya YG deh. Sayangnya Nam Taehyun keluar dari Winner dan menyisakan 4 anggota aja. Padahal aku suka sama Taehyun nih sewaktu dengerin lagu mereka yang judulnya Sentimental.

Di awal sih aku suka Kang Seungyoon karena suaranya bagus dan dia ganteng wkwk Tapi semakin kesini entah kenapa semakin suka Mino dan segala rapnya.

Ternyata Mino itu mantan calon anggota Block B. Untunglah dia udah di Winner sekarang.

6. Sixteen

Kali ini acara survivalnya JYP untuk mendebutkan girlgrup.

Ada 16 trainee yang ikut di acara ini. Mereka dibagi jadi grup Minor dan Mayor. Menurutku sih, acara ini lebih kejam dibandingkan yang lainnya.

Grup Mayor dan Minor ini bener-bener berbeda. Dorm mereka beda, jadwal latihan mereka beda, kendaraan, dan ruangan mereka pokoknya beda semua.

Masa iya grup Mayor latihan siang dan grup Minor malem-malem latihannya.

Jahat nggak sih?:”

Tapi akhirnya mereka debut sebagai Twice dan bener-bener eksis mereka. Masih rookie aja udah jadi trending topik. Bahkan semua MV mereka udah ditonton 200juta kali. Hebat bener emang.

Tadinya Twice itu diisi 7 orang, Nayeon, Jihyo, Momo, Mina, Jungyeon, Dahyun, dan Chaeyoung. Tapi JYP nambahin 2 orang lagi Sana dan Tzuyu karena mereka selalu punya vote yang besar.

Tapi selain yang debut di Twice, ada beberapa trainee yang sekarang jadi terkenal.

Somi yang akhirnya masuk Produce 101 dan berhasil debut di I.O.I

Chaeryeong yang nongol di Stray Kids episode 1

Dan Natty yang nongol di Idol School. Sayangnya Natty udah keluar dari JYP.

7. Seventeen Project

Ini sebenernya bukan ajang survival sih. Cuma project menuju debutnya Seventeen. Jadi sebelum mereka resmi debut, Seventeen dikasih beberapa misi untuk melatih kemampuan mereka pas jadi idol nantinya.

Lumayan menarik sih menurutku....

Sebelum ada Wanna One, Seventeen ini termasuk ke Top3 group favorite para yeoja bersama BTS dan EXO wkwkwk

8. Stray Kids

Stray kids adalah acara survival dari JYP untuk membentuk grup baru. Di episode 1 menampilkan showcase JYP untuk mendebutkan grup baru. Ada grup cowok dan grup cewek. Dan akhirnya yang berkesempatan debut adalah grup cowok ini.

Di grup cewek ada Chaeryeong yang pernah muncul di Sixteen juga.

Jadi di Stray Kids ini mereka dikasih misi untuk menuju debutnya gitu. Pada setiap misi ada eliminasi. Dan korban yang tereliminasi itu Minho sama Felix.

Tapi alasan Minho tereliminasi ini bikin netizen gregetan karena nggak bermutu. Jadi Minho ini masternya dance diantara trainee lain, dia juga seorang vocal. Di misi pertama, tau-tau JYP nyuruh Minho untuk ngerapp. Akhirnya karena rap nya Minho nggak bagus-bagus amat, di misi kedua dia dieliminasi. Kan dia bukan rapper -_-

Dan kedua alasan Felix dieliminasi karena katanya pelafalannya Felix itu nggak bagus, nggak kayak Korea. Yaiyalah.... orang dia bukan orang Korea -_-

Makanya netizen geram sama JYP.

Untungnya, Minho dan Felix kembali lagi setelah diberi kesempatan kedua. Dan akhirnya mereka bersembilan bisa debut dengan nama Stray Kids, sama kayak nama survivalnya.

Di awal sih aku suka sama Bang Chan, jelas. Karena dia leader yang baik, dia juga yang paling jago bikin lagu, dan sebagainya. Tapi semakin kesini, malah semakin suka sama semua. Minho, Hyunjin, Jeongin yang punya pesona luar biasa. Bang Chan, Changbin, Jisung dengan kemampuan membuat lagunya. Seungmin dan Woojin yang suaranya beneran bagus. Stray Kids ini grup yang ideal banget! Mereka masih muda, berbakat, dan bener-bener beda dengan image JYP. Lagu-lagu mereka itu bagus.... Harus dengerin Your Wings pokoknya!

Untunglah mereka debut bersembilan. Sekarang tinggal nunggu kepastian tanggal debut mereka. Kayanya sih.... mereka bakalan meledak gitu.

9. Mixnine

Kali ini aku mengikuti ajang survival dari awal mulai sampai tamat. Mixnine adalah survivalnya YG yang tayang di JTBC berbeda dari acara lainnya yang tayang di Mnet. Dan mereka baru aja tamat beberapa hari yang lalu.

Jadi di Mixnine ini ada banyak trainee dari berbagai agensi, mirip Produce 101 gitu. Cuma ini cowok dan cewek bareng dalam satu acara. Setiap vote juga boleh vote 9 trainee yang paling disuka cowok-cewek campur. Cuma nanti pas debut ya sendiri-sendiri. Trainee cowok sendiri, trainee cewek sendiri.

Aku sih suka-suka aja ya nonton ini.... traineenya pada berbakat menurutku. Apalagi ada beberapa trainee Produce 101 yang ikutan ajang ini, kayak: Woo Jinyoung, Jo Yonggeun, Yoon Yongbin, Lee Gunmin. Ada trainee ceweknya juga Heo Chanmi, Ng Sz Kai, Lee Soomin dan kayaknya masih ada yang lain lagi tapi kurang disoroti di Mixnine maupun di Produce 101.

Dan Jinyoung selalu rangking 1 gaaaaaes. Keinget banget waktu dia gagal masuk top 35 padahal penampilan dia di position eval berhasil menarik perhatian. Dan ketika di Mixnine banyak yang kenal dia, bahkan trainee lain pun antusias menyambut Mitcheotci Jinyoung.

Ada trainee JYP juga yang selalu jadi nomer 1 diantara trainee cewek lainnya, Shin Ryu Jin. Dia juga nongol di teasernya BTS Love Yourself.

Entah kenapa ratingnya Mixnine jelek banget. Dimulai dari 1,9 dan diakhiri dengan 0,9.

Iya sih, diawal emang kejam dan nggak banget. Cuma dateng ke agensi dan rebutan posisi. Pokoknya cuma bersaing menjadi yang terbaik bahkan sampai kelelahan. Kejamnya lagi adalah YG langsung mengeliminasi setengah dari trainee yang ada. Pokoknya langsung drastis gitu.

Tapi acara ini itu bagus..... trainee nya sebagian besar udah debut dan dikenal, mana mereka ganteng dan cantik. Sumpah, trainee ceweknya lebih cantik dari Produce. Cuma kalo yang cowok mah, masih gantengan di Produce wkwk

Semakin ke belakang juga mereka nayangin hal-hal yang terjadi diantara para trainee kok kayak di Produce 101. Jadi nggak melulu tentang misi dan tanpa hiburan. Bahkan tempat tinggal mereka lebih elite, di hotel broooo!

Lagu-lagu yang diproduksi selama misi juga bagus. Apalagi pas konsep evaluasi. Uh!

Aku lebih menyoroti trainee cowok sih daripada trainee ceweknya. Maklum lah ya..... Terlalu banyak yang berbakat dan tampan disana. Yang cewek juga cantik. Sayang aja pake sistem vote.

Sayangnya Yongbin, Gunmin, Yonggeun, Changmi, Kai, kembali tereliminasi. Gagal di Produce 101 dan di Mixnine juga. Padahal Gunmin itu diawal eksis banget, sering masuk Top9 dan selalu dapet banyak vote. Apalagi pas tampil di Love in The Ice. Wuh! Itu masterpiece banget. Coba cek di Youtube guys! Love in The Ice sama Born Hater coba. Keren banget!

Kemarin, akhirnya Mixnine tamat setelah mengumumkan top 9 trainee cowok dan top 9 trainee cewek. Ada Jinyoung dan Soomin disana. Sayangnya trainee cewek cuma menang aja. Yang debut adalah trainee cowok.

Ketika nonton ini sih aku excited karena ada Jinyoung. Woodam juga ikut audisi, cuma nggak lolos. Dan aku selalu suka Jinyoung dari awal sampai akhir semenjak Produce 101.

Cuma pas di awal aku tertarik sama trainee Banana Culture Chae Changhyun dan Lee Jaejun. Mereka beneran menarik perhatian banget pas audisi. CL aja sampai terpesona. Sayangnya Changhyun tereliminasi duluan. Padahal dia sering di debut bus pas di awal-awal. Jaejun malah selalu lolos eliminasi tapi selalu ada di rangking akhir. Kayaknya Jaejun ini kesayangannya YG dan pengen buktiin sesuatu ke YG deh wkwk

ACE, ONF, dan KNK juga termasuk yang paling bersinar disana. Bener-bener deh mereka ambil peran banget.

Kedepannya, mari tunggu mereka debut!

Btw yang berhasil debut itu Woo Jinyoung, ONF Hyojin, ONF Minseok, ACE Byeongkwan, ACE Donghoon, Lee Rubin, YG Hyunsuk, YG Byeonggon, dan 7OClock Hangyeom.

10. The Unit

Setelah Nu’est dateng ke Produce 101 dan Minhyun akhirnya debut di Wanna One, sekarang banyak orang yang lebih memperhatikan Nu’est. Mereka adalah idol yang udah 6 tahun debut tapi belum banyak pencapaian. Tapi karena Produce 101, akhirnya mereka bisa terbang sekarang.

Nah karena itu KBS membuat ajang survival untuk menyelamatkan Nu’est Nu’est lainnya.

Jadi disini namanya The Unit ada trainee cewek dan trainee cowok, mirip kayak Mixnine dan tayang hampir bersamaan dengan Mixnine. Cuma The Unit lebih digemari. Mungkin karena tayang di KBS dan lebih sering menampilkan keseharian para trainee jadi netizen lebih suka.

Banyak banget grup idol underrated yang ikutan acara ini. Tapi ternyata pas udah dateng ke The Unit mereka berbakat. Mereka cuma belum berkesempatan aja. Entah karena pasar atau agensinya. Nyatanya setelah di The Unit fans mereka mulai bermunculan.

Kalau ditanya biasku disini... susah:” Banyak yang kusuka....

Alasan aku nonton awalnya karean ada Timoteo dan Hojung HOTSHOT. Taehyun HOTSHOT berhasil debut di JBJ dan Hasungwoon HOTSHOT berhasil debut di Wanna One karena bergabung di Produce 101. Karena itu aku nonton The Unit. Timo sama Hojung pasti lolos juga kan? Dan ternyata Timoteo itu sahabatnya Kai, Jimin, Taemin gaes....

Di awal, aku suka banget sama Timoteo dan Hojung. Setelah itu mereka membentuk Tim Merah untuk misi pertama. Ada Kanto, Rockhyun, Lee Geon, Hansol, Kijong, Donghyun, dan Feeldog. Mereka cukup di notice di awal. Apalagi Donghyun yang anggota Boyfriend dan Hansol yang mantan SM Rookie. Dan karena strateginya, red team ini jadi center di lagu tema The Unit.

Tapi semakin kesini gaes.... semakin banyak yang bagus. Nggak cuma red team itu aja. Sebagian besar blue team, black team, dan yellow team yang cukup mendominasi.

Timoteo sempet rangking 1 selama berminggu-minggu sampai dia kaget pas tau rangking 4. Terus kandidat lainnya itu Jun U-Kiss dan Euijin BIGFLO yang jadi rangking 1.

Red team yang tadinya sering masuk top 9 dan disekitar itu mulai tergantikan.

Uh! Mereka itu beneran bagus....

Ada Dongmyung juga. Iya Son Dongmyung yang ikutan Produce 101 Season 2. Dia sempet bermasalah kakinya saat battle grup, dan akhirnya tersingkir di eliminasi pertama. Tapi pas masuk The Unit rangkingnya cukup besar sama kayak peserta lain yang di Mixnine.

Untuk peserta cewek... aku suka sih. Tapi nggak begitu. Lebih suka trainee cewek di Mixnine. Cuma di The Unit suka juga. Mereka sebagian besar idol yang cukup dikenal. Bahkan lebih underrated trainee cowok dibanding yang cewek.

Berhubung The Unit belum tamat.... jadi mari tunggu kabar mereka dan terus dukung mereka supaya bisa lebih dikenal lagi!

Aku sih pengennya diantara mereka ini nanti debut ya...

Dari semua ini... dapat disimpulkan ajang survival paling disukai adalah Produce 101 Season 2. Walaupun nggak semewah dan sehorror yang lain, Produce 101 Season 2 tetep juara lah di hati. Terbaiq memang. Bahkan trainee yang tereliminasi di evaluasi pertama mendapat banyak perhatian dari netizen diacara lain. Jadi nggak heran ketika Wanna One bisa sesukses ini.

Dan satu lagi.... Aku pengen banget nonton Pentagon Maker, cuma nggak nemu linknya yang full ver dan bersubtitle. Jadi.... buat yang tau link Pentagon Maker tolong kasih tau yep!
