made with a stockinette stich and a 2x2 ribbed stich ( in the right pic you can tell the tails were not weaved in )
and added a sparkly fur trim to make it extra cute 💕 (it looks way neater after weaving in the tails + I didn't block it cuz I'm a gangtser 😎 )
Used Egyptian Cotton as my main yarn in the colours Pétrole and Blanc 1, the grey and the light blue were leftovers from another project 🦋
The other project being my first ever knitting project which was also a balaclava, back when I had just learned how to do a pearl stich haha guess we all have to start somewhere 🥵
since discovering the world of knitting and creating clothes by hand, my approach to outfit decisions has changed completely. the ability to craft something new using just two simple tools (needles and yarn) is truly unique. the most remarkable aspect is the power of personalization; you can design and make exactly what you envision. knitting has opened up a realm of endless possibilities and creativity, allowing me to express my style in a deeply personal way.
So so so so proud and excited about how this sweater turned out. Design is so gorgeous (Pattern: Petiteknit’s Moby Sweater) and love how the stitch definition works with this cotton yarn (Rowan!)
I ended up frogging my last scarf because I just wasn’t feeling it right now. Decided to give this pattern from Purlsoho a try. I think I’m liking it…but then of course I do…it’s cables.
Some design ideas need about 50 tries before they work, some just work right away. This idea for fingerless gloves is one of the latter - aside from a small sizing issue. I am really happy how it turned out.
Some yarns I’ve dyed recently. The shop has been very busy, so I haven’t had much time to post on here! I’m sorry!
As always, if you fancy these and love supporting one-woman business, feel free to peruse my online shop where these and many more of my creations reside for sale.
a while ago, i crafted my first cardigan using worsted wool, blending purl, 1x1 ribbing, and chandelier braid stitch. i’m super happy with the result— i think it's a perfect mix of elegance and warmth.
