I know I haven't been active lately but trust me, i've been cooking things in the background. I still need to do a good check on the whole trailer but can we please talk about this guy?

This is so yautja core and I'm devouring it. It's like some kind of cape made of massive colums, the ribs at the very back spreading out like a twisted crown and the spikes at the bottom being dragged across the floor are such a simple but amazing concept hello?

I believe each clan leader is like the representation of his clan culture and identity, and this guy is clearly showing to everyone that he - they have to be feared and respected because they're more than capable of taking down such creatures and display them as trophies on themselves.

Probably someone already mentioned this before but ugh this whole scene deserved to be in the movie. Light fury deserved it!

She had at least more personality and I love her but baby please they didn't gave you enough screen time to know you better so you feel like you're just there as an excuse to save the species and nothing more. Not even mentioning how beautiful the moon light scene must have been.

People might be waiting for the series to release to do some proper comments about the new yautjas but i'm OBSESSED over this one specifically

I love the massive yautja and the beast the other is but THIS dude has me on a chokehold. They are a pilot, a COMBAT PILOT, with an eye patch for ??? reasons, a mask that only covers the inner mouth, metal plates over where the dreadlocks are supposed to be, whatever is going on with the back implants?? a combat pilot yautja.

Very spiky, absolutely locked in during the bits of the trailers, he KNOWS what he's doing or at least is incredibly well to predend it so yeah i'm completely normal about their background.

Some very funny behaviour i've noticed about yautjas is that they always go around kinda strutting

I'm aware the guys are big and heavy and these stances are a typical artistic choice to make them look more intimidating and deadly but that's exactly why I love it so much. Puffing their chests, seemingly walking with purpose, that guy just had to be more cunty

The only thing that I don't really like about Prey is how they moved Predator: 1718 out of the canon. It's a pretty short story, no more than 10 pages but as the sometimes overanalytic artist I am, I wanted to remark something.

These two pages might not be the big thing but oh boy. Besides giving some background to the beloved Greyback from the Predator 2 movie, he decided to do the effort of preparing a decent place for Adolini to rest, also recognizing him as some sort of warrior, guided by his beliefs just as him.

He had no reason to give a dead body his weapon, Adolini just offered his gun and that's all, but even as brief as their encounter was, he gained his respect. A hard task to do (well, depending who you ask) for such fierce creatures.
