I commissioned my friend & super-talented artist @stonetalus to draw my wrestler OC, Kohaku! ^_^

And I love how she turned out!!! ^_^ Some of my fave details are the following: 

The broken lens of Kohaku’s mask to reveal a single wide eye. 

The depth illustrated in the shouting! 

The HAIR!!! <3

Kohaku’s ring title is The Blue Flame, and I enjoy the bright energy that surrounds her.

And the dust cloud (gives me “rising from the ashes” energy!!!).

Thanks again to stonetalus for being incredible and taking the time to really polish Kohaku. <3 (Not to gush too much, but I really love stonetalus’s art style. <3) -

Let’s finally get 2022 STARTED!!!

You may already have an idea as to who this might be, but in cause you don’t know, this is my 2022 redesign of Kohaku Wakahisa-Vera. Her design is visually inspired by cyberpunk concept art, robots, ceremonial diablo masks, and Kamen Rider Momotaros (the red dude). You can also see a bit of her father there, who I completed last year and even made a song for. I’m also working on a 2022 redesign of Hikaru Akiyama, the kid in the hat. The second to last pic is of a possible logo for Kohaku’s lucha character.

I’m also gonna share a screenshot of where these characters usually end up: a giant google doc. I updated the format, and Kohaku’s backstory. (She’ll always be a work in progress, but this is as far as I got over the course of two full days of work... :P) Welp, hope you’ve been having a blast so far this year, and hopefully I can get the courage to ACTUALLY POST MORE on tumblr. (Feel free to encourage me... I need encouragement. TT^TT)

Hello hello hello! I’m baaack~

Bringing another 2022 redesign of a wrestler character I’ve posted here before,  Hikaru Akiyama! I know in the previous post she was wearing more of a tracksuit, but I changed it to something more “legible”. I’m also showing a bit of the current logo for KBU (Kyoto Brawler’s Union), which is the promotion Hikaru wrestles for. I’m not really head over heels for it yet, but I thought it’d still be neat to share. (If you read both of the 2022 Hikaru and Kohaku backstories... they’re more than just “best buds” now. I ship them100%.)
