Where do you buy your Koop albums? I saw all that twice merch on your shelf and I love it!!!

i get it from a bunch of places !! that stuffs mostly from ktown4u, kpoptown and deep discount for the japanese albums but they didn’t package my stuff super well so some of them came chipped so i wouldn’t recommend it :/ the actual merch is from doing group orders on instagram!

Op 4/11/19 schreef Lucas Peetroons: Top concert!!! Une belle découverte en première partie avec Hollie Col & un concert intimiste de Harrison Storm vraiment super... Le seul bémol: pas eu de rappel ;-) 

Mijn eigen mening: 

Ik ben het er helemaal mee eens dat het concert van Harrison Storm en Hollie Col een TOPconcert was. Dit ging door in de AB in Brussel op 27 oktober. Samen met Mirthe en Noa ben ik naar het concert gegaan. Het vond plaats in de AB Club. Er hing tijdens het concert een zeer gezellige sfeer en dat kwam omdat iedereen gewoon genoot van wat we hoorden. De avond begon met een optreden van Hollie Col. Ze heeft een prachtige stem en wondermooie liedjes. Ze begeleide de liedjes gewoon met haar gitaar, voor de rest geen ‘muziek’. Na Hollie was het de beurt aan Harrison. Ook hij heeft echt een prachtige stem. Het was een zeer intiem concert omdat het een klein zaaltje was. Dat maakt het ook al veel familialer en dat vonden we alle drie superleuk. Je hebt dan echt het gevoel dat de artiesten ‘weten’ wie er allemaal in de zaal staat. Dat is zeker niet het geval in het Sportpaleis. Zijn liedjes zijn duidelijk en er zit meestal een boodschap in. Na het optreden was er ook merch te koop. Ik kocht een T-shirt van Harrison en Mirthe een totebag.  Eerst waren we heel benieuwd naar wat er komen zou, maar na het concert waren we helemaal in de wolken. Het was een topervaring die we zeker nog eens willen overdoen!

I spent the day at @hmartofficial with my sister, I got all this Koop merch @torigiftsnkpop groups are @redvelvet.smtown (stickers poster), @gfriendofficial (photocards), @mamamoo_official (poster), and @girlsgeneration (cards). We also got pastries & drinks at @touslesjoursusa in H Mart, and picked up a lot of snacks and treats in H Mart. After H Mart we went thrifting for Christmasy bits and I found @taylorswift’s Christmas album! Vlogmas Day 3 is also up. Merch

Links van mij staat een post-metalband, denk Amen Ra van de Aldi. 3 soorten gekleurde vinyl van dezelfde plaat, 5 t-shirt designs, 1 longsleeve, 2 hoodies en 1 cd. Professioneel uitziende prijslijst, wit bakje om met kaart te kunnen betalen, 2 verkopers met heuptasjes. Rechts van mij een singersongwriter die ik vorig jaar nog zag onder een afdak op een koer in Gent en die het nu aan het maken is. 1 lp in de blakende zon, 2 cassettes, 3 t-shirt designs, 2 hoodies en een cd. Mooi geplastificeerde prijslijst. Een muur van plastic bakken vol merch staat achter me. De roadmanager legt tegen de verkoopsters uit wat waarin zit. “Deze hoodies zijn fout gedrukt, die mag je absoluut niet verkopen!”, waarom ze die zware bak dan over het festivalterrein hebben gesleurd is niet helemaal duidelijk. Ik heb 2 singles, gratis stickers en een snel handgeschreven prijslijst op een papiertje dat ik op het terrein gevonden heb. Straks komt er nog een bevriende band met hun valies en een bak met merch. Hun prijslijst is ook handgeschreven maar wel op een stuk stevig karton. Betalen kan cash of met Payconiq als dat werkt. Daar komt mijn eerste klant, denk ik, “Hebben jullie ook petjes?”, “Nee sorry, geen petjes.”. De set van de post-metal band is voorbij en de merchstand wordt belaagd door een 30-tal nerds. Ze bekijken me smalend terwijl ze veel te duur slecht klinkend gekleurd plastic en xxl hoodies kopen. “Verkopen jullie ook petjes?”, “Nee geen petjes sorry.”.  Een boomer benadert de singersongwriter verkoopster, “Is dat gekleurd vinyl?”, “Geen idee mijnheer, sorry.”, “Als het gekleurd vinyl is koop ik hem hoor.”, “Ik weet het echt niet mijnheer.”, “Zou je hem kunnen open maken om te kijken?”, “Dat zijn mijn spullen eigenlijk niet mijnheer, dat mag ik echt niet doen, sorry.”, “Ok dan koop ik hem niet.”, “Geen probleem mijnheer.”. “Mag ik deze t-shirt in large eens passen?”, vraagt een dronken man die al een paar keer is langs geweest toen er niemand stond. “Ja hoor mijnheer.”. Het t-shirt past. “Ja, ik koop hem.”, “Dat is dan 15€ mijnheer.”. hij houdt het meteen aan, “Heb je ook petjes?”,... Daar zijn mijn vrienden, ze hebben 3 t-shirts, 1 7”, 1 cassette, gratis stickers en 1 cd. De heel vriendelijke vrouw die verantwoordelijk is voor de merchstand helpt me alles uitstallen. Ze heeft graag dat dezelfde kapstokken gebruikt worden om de t-shirts op te hangen en dat het er overzichtelijk uit ziet. Ik kan haar geen ongelijk geven. Merchstands zijn vaak een zootje. “Hebben jullie ook petjes?”. De dronken man komt terug. “Mag ik toch een medium?”, “Nee dat kan niet meer mijnheer, ik zie dat je er al op gemorst hebt.”, “Ah ja, dan niet, ok.”. Mijn vrienden hun set is voorbij. 10 mensen staan aan te schuiven aan mijn stand als ik terug kom van het concert. Ze zouden beter post-metal gaan spelen. Ik verkoop 2 7″’s, 3 cassettes, 1 cd en een paar t-shirts. “Hebben jullie ook petjes?”. De band komt me uit mijn lijden verlossen. Ik raad hun aan om petjes te laten maken.

Question! Do you have any tips for going to a Koop concert? I’m going to a bts one next month and I’m super excited but also have no clue how to prepare for it?? -nappy anon

oh sure!! one of the main things i guess is to bring only the essentials. try your best not to bring bulky bags because it just gets in the way of your concert experience as it is generally a hazard. main priorities should probably be your phone, some money (enough to buy merch!! lots of fansites sell their products outside the venue!!), and other stuff you might need (meds, car keys, wtvr)

you might also want to bring band-aids?? especially if you’re in the pit, because things get rough in there sometimes. wear comfy shoes like sneakers (probably not white ones because you’ll be stepped on/spilled on/etc). dress comfortably too!!

uhh… and go inside the venue early. even if you’ve got a reserved seat, it pays to get in there early so that you don’t have to squeeze through people to get to your seat. although, you might make the counter argument that people will pass through you, but that’s just my preference. i like being early HAHAHA

most of all, have fun!! kpop concerts are really fun, because everyone’s screaming and singing along!! it gets wild sometimes, but overall they’re always super fun!! hope you have fun~ bts are really great on stage; they are definitely worth every penny!!

WHAT SCHOOL / COLLEGE DO YOU GO TO? I went to a college for media and design types of education. I graduated about 2,5 years ago though.

WHAT KIND OF STUDENT ARE YOU? Someone who procrastinates a lot, claims she does not really care about getting a top grade but the stress that accumulates in the last 2 weeks before deadline indicates that this is... a lie.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE SUBJECTS? In highschool it was geography and art. In college... I liked visualising class best, which was basically getting a theme at the beginning of the term and using the whole term to come up with a concept, create a style, and then using that to design a whole array of graphic communication elements or consumer products. (example: designing and illustrating a children’s book, and the merch and promotional material to go with it)

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES? If animated movies count, it’s either Coraline or How to train your dragon. I love Mulan for nostalgic reasons. Hmm other than that, I think I like Amelie best, but I don’t know honestly. 

WHAT ARE YOU FAVOURITE PASTIMES? Each time a question like this pops up I am reminded of how boring I am haha. Uhm, I like reading, whether it’s just a book or manga, watching series. And I draw sometimes, of course!

DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? I continually beat myself up over the fact that I did not exert myself more in high school. That, and that I did not pause to think more about where to go for college. I had options for higher level education, and now I feel like I have wasted a lot of potential just because I didn’t know what to do. 

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB? This is pretty ironic in relation to former question but pretty much what I am doing now, but with slightly better pay.

11/08 De Kreun, Kortrijk

Jens is mee. Belly Button Raf drumt. Op het dak van de Kreun in de zon zitten terwijl Frankie soundcheckt. Raf drumt snel. “Age of illusion” klinkt als hardcore. Een zittend publiek. Agathe D. ontmoet. Op de terugweg meebrullen met “Sweet Jane”, VU voor altijd!

28/08 Ruis, Antwerpen

Anne is mee. Eerste show met nieuwe drummer Timo. Tuff Guac komt recht van Hamburg naar de show en heeft cadeautje mee voor Frankie. Namiddag. Zon. Weer zittend publiek. De zanger van de band die na Frankie speelt heeft de posters laten herdrukken omdat iedereen dacht dat hij Frankie Traandruppel was. Heeft nog in Tijl gespeeld in 1996. “Bestaat da nog altij ofwa? Haha.”, pfff. Dronken maar plezante set. Ik vertrek direct na Frankie.

02/09 Giraf, Gent

We zijn met de auto van Frankie’s ma. Die heeft een automatische versnellingsbak. Show is verhuisd van De Roes naar de Giraf. Uitverkocht. Itches opent luid en goed. Goeie sfeer. Dansende mensen. Veel meisjes. Whisky. Beste show van de tour? Om middernacht platen kopen bij Guided By Records met Jonas. Ik koop Spellling, een tip van bontridders. Ik rijd naar huis. Nog nooit met een automatische versnellingsbak gereden. Niet makkelijk. Dronken Frankie botst met zijn hoofd tegen het dashboard. Ik wandel naar huis.

10/09 De Bloemfabriek, Geel

Een korte rit. Gratis show. Strakke set. Klein maar aandachtig publiek. Ille en Freek zijn er. Freek danst als enige. Ik verkoop veel platen na de show. Ille koopt de laatste “Valley-Ay!”. Eten van de kaart en gratis Westmalle. Frankie rijdt vandaag...

14/09 De Roes, Gent

Ik rij apart met Jens. Last minute voorprogramma van Le Villejuif Underground. Een éénmalige akoestische set met bassist Bart op staande drum, Matti op orgel en Frankie op akoestische gitaar en mondharmonica. Frankie speelt Les Villejuifs droog naar huis. Rikki rijdt mee terug.

17/09 Het Bos, Antwerpen

Lange file. Net op tijd daar. Ik DJ met DJ Auxkabel. Strakke set van Frankie met beste geluid van de avond. Charlène Darling is goed. Mountain Bike nostalgisch. De Pu is er, die heb ik misschien al 10 jaar niet meer gezien. Afterparty is fun! Ik wissel platen af met DJ Auxkabel. We killen.

20/10 De Koer, Gent

Ik rijd want Frankie heeft een telefooninterview met Willy. Weinig volk, 3de show in Gent, ze hebben Frankie wel gezien daar. Niels is er. Els ontmoet, tourmanager van Peuk, ze vertelt over haar slecht ex-lief uit Diest. Rare maar goeie show. Op tijd naar huis.

30/10 JH Tijl, Diest

Hometown verjaardagsshow. Ik ben snipverkouden en moet flik spelen (CST checken), no fun. De rest heeft gelukkig wel fun. Itches blaast het feest op gang. bontridders op haar verkouden best. Peuk luid en met nieuwe hits. Frankie dronken fun. Ze spelen “Who put the turtle?” en “Get off my cloud”. Veel dansende mensen. Ik wou dat ik er bij was.

07/11 The Pit’s, Kortrijk

Terug in Kortrijk, we zijn rond. Matineeshow. bontridders speelt ook. Ik DJ. Veel volk van Tournai, altijd fijn. bontridders nog beter dan vorige week ondanks wat technische probleempjes. Frankie rockt voor een aandachtig publiek. Ik DJ, doe merch en probeer tussendoor nog iets te eten. Heel plezante afterparty zoals steeds in The Pit’s. De man van Alexander vond het zelfs leuk (geen typische Pitsmens). Op tijd naar huis. Ik moet weer wandelen...
