Lev was nervous to ask you out on a date, he had been debating on how to ask for for a whole now.

(Truth to be told he had a crush on you ever since you started out in the KGB, ststing out his personal assistant)

He wanted this to be perfect as possible Lev didn't want anything to go wrong. After a long Friday of working, he finally asked you.

He is rather reserved– Quiet most of the time, despite his stoic and anger appreance, he was rather sweet with you. Always.

A few of the workers occasionally teased him, but they were always met with angry glares.

It was a simple but sweet gesture he did asking you out, like the gentleman he is. And gladly, you accepted it. Which mafe him happy.

He took you to the finest restaurant that Moscow offered, five-star even. He didn't care how much the bill was, along as you were happy.

You were surprised yet greatful he took you out to the magnificent place, coincidentally... The sane restaurant you always wanted to go to!

The gentleman he is he opened the door for you, pulling out the chair for you as well. You always came first.

"I remember you mentioning you always wanted to go to this restaurant, so I wanted to take you here."

You two had a powerful time, Lev assured you to order whatever you wished. As he did the same too.

You two had a wonderful time getting to know each other more personally, without work getting in the way.

Everyone was intimidated by Lev, also respecting him. But you... You was never scared of him, which always surprised him as well.

After the lavish starter and main course, you two had dessert. Although you was still worried about the price, Lev reassured you.

"Get anything you want Pcholka (little bee) Tonight is about you."

Feeling reassured the two of you got a shared dessert, which he glady shared with you.

As the night came to an end, drinks shared, belly gull of food and Lev paying the whole bill and he offered to take you home

Luckily you didn't live too far from the restaurant, gladly he walked you home. His arm wrapped around yours, as it was a snowy evening.

It was a sweet and warm gesture from him, but he wanted you to be safe. Even if you could handle yourself, he was rather protective of you.

The walk sadly came to an end as the two to you walked down to your road, still walking with you. He walked you over to your door

You cheekily kissed the side of his lip as a thank you and a good night, but he quickly pulled you in and kissed you with passion.

Clearly, the night wasn't just over yet for the two of you.

Is aware of his surroundings: Because of his career as a special agent, Bell conceals himself in terms of his personal life in seclusion. Even knowing he's hunted everywhere, he intelligently makes himself invisible from the outside world which makes others difficult for him to locate or recognise.

Works in solitude: Vasili/Bell has always prefered to work alone, but it doesn't mean he doesn't mind going on missions with the team. But, as his habit of being a special agent, that trait normally came from him back in his days when he worked with the KGB.

Observant and intelligent: Vasili was able to survive any sort of situation because of his good observant skills, and his capacity to act quicker. He was able to learn a lot of languages as well, and posed himself in different identities, that made it harder for the intelligence agencies to track him down.

Is reserved and introverted: Bell really doesn't speak to anyone much, unless when it comes to planning or going for missions, he needs to form a sort of communication to keep it lively. He is seen being more comfortable with Mason and Woods, but never felt having a good vibe with Adler. It was odd on his part, but it was going to grow very obvious when the truth would have come closer to any minute.

BACKGROUND STORY

Bell, who first used to live under the identity of Vasili Sokolov, was born in a family who had an army background, where his mother and father, both served during the Second World War, and hearing their stories, it gave Vasili a motivation to support his parents legacy by joining the intelligence — which was the KGB, going under the codename "Crow".

THE KGB ARC [REDACTED]

When Vasili joined the organisation, he showed a remarkable performance as a special agent. Some say he was born to join the intelligence and make the country proud, or he was a gifted child who could learn anything quickly and successfully perform a mission by stealing info or destroying any plans that could harm his country, without any failure. He even pointed out possible mistakes while planning out a mission, and in the end they worked out efficiently.

Sooner or later, Vasili's influence spread all around the world, especially during the Cold War, the enemies of the Soviet Union had a kill/capture on him. "Kill" because Vasili knew too much about them, and "Capture" because, they wanted him to tell everything he has with him, which likely created a risk for the KGB and they couldn't do so. With that, General Anton Charkov gave him the order to "retire" and stay hidden to protect himself along with the organisation. Disappointed, Vasili protested that it was the only thing that "kept him going", but having no choice, the agent decided to leave the KGB, under the General's orders.

PERSEUS ARC [REDACTED]

It was a matter of time, when one was going to collect him instead, realising he was now no longer affiliated with the KGB. Vasili was met with someone who called himself "Perseus", and requested him to join his alliance, since he knew about Vasili from his influence, and promised to give him full security, knowing he was hunted worldwide too. Seeing that as an opportunity, Vasili agreed to join in good terms, directly becoming Perseus's loyal agent.

As he continued his journey in the faction, he had shown his skills again which made Perseus as his most trusted agent, unlike the rest. But, at times Vasili has shown inner conflict towards his ideas. During the moment when he was explained about "Operation Greenlight" with the members, it left a strange feeling within his heart. He tried to protest, but he somehow couldn't refute his superior's words, and decided to acknowledge instead. Vasili had kept showing a remarkable performance, much to Arash Kadivar, one of the faction members, being envious of his relationship with Perseus.

Kadivar lures him to Trabzon Airport, where he takes Vasili, and explains that he didn't want any more "competition", resulting in him shooting the special agent in the car he was present in, leaving him to die and bleed alone. But, sooner or later, an attack situated on the airfield, unbeknownst to the dying Vasili who was growing unconscious every passing minute. Growing lost in his own thoughts, about Perseus that promised him to give him protection from the outer forces, but didn't recognise that his "own" people were against him too, as he questioned his existence at the same time.

SAFEHOUSE ARC

The voices echoed, and the man started to lose his breath.. until he woke up, and found himself in a strange place, where he couldn't remember anything of what happened. This is where, he encounters Russell Adler, a CIA agent who he curiously looks upon, having no idea. Unable to introduce himself, Adler briefed him about his name, being it under the codename "Bell". And this is where, all the very events of the canon game begin from here.

Just finished Cold War's campaing for the first time and wow wow wow. What an amazing game.

The story, the characters, the dialogue choices, the graphics, it all comes together so nicely to make such an amazing experience. The puzzles in the side missions were a really nice touch, and I went up looking up and down the levels trying to not miss any bit of evidence.

Being able to customize our character at the beggining and select some perks was a nice touch. Helps to make us feel more connected to Bell as a character.

The callbacks to events and characters of Black Ops 1 were so well done. I really liked how they neatly managed to connect the events of the two games together, and how they showed the impact Dragovich, Kravchenko and Steiner kept having after the events of BO1.

Look at them. My traumatized and perfect babyboys with so many decades of ptsd on them. Love them so much.

Loved seeing the returning faces and the new cast. Wished we could have gotten more interactions with them though. I am totally not shipping Bell and Park. Not at all. I promise.

Got the ending with Perseus and cause im a lover of all things angst, this was such a tragic and powerful ending. I'm excited to replay and see how all the endings vary. And I knew I was right to not give Addler the lighter in the end lol

Only complain I have is that I felt the campaign was a bit short, which limits how much we get to interact with the characters and other things like seeing more of Bell's connection with Perseus, but given the difficulties Treyarch had during development due to Covid, it's understandable. But the content that is there is pretty amazing.

Overall, loved the game very much and I totally reccomend it.

Hmmm so this probably barely makes sense because I'm writing this on the middle of the night and sleep deprived, but the cod: black ops brainrot is too much to handle so suffer with me. Spoilers from the Black Ops series bellow the cut!

I'm replaying COD: Cold War and I came to the realization of how dangerously close the team came to have a mole (besides Bell on the Duga ending) between them.

Because, you know, Perseus used a sleeper agent from Dragovich's little science project from BO1, and if the extremely specific sequency (but isn't that's why we make fanfic anyways?) of events needed to let him know who formed the team, he could've used Mason.

In the introduction to the "Echoes of the cold war" mission, when Mason asks to go, someone (can't remember if it's Adler or Hudson now) says he's too deep into the problem. We know Mason isn't fully clean from the brainwashing, as shown with the numbers he sees when interacting with the Soviet corpses in Yamatau in this mission, and also by how he needs to resist the urge to shoot Kravchenko during the interrogation in BO2, so he could be used somehow.

I'm just saying things could have gone to shit so damn early, because assuming sleeper agents can receive new orders (not sure about this, but considering how Perseus managed to get that one scientist to Cuba, I don't doubt it), and that not many people on the team would notice Mason acting off (maybe Hudson and Woods, but the rest would most likely brush it off), I think it's very possible.

I know it wasn't nowhere near the first objective, however let's pull off the very specific sequency of events again, and assume Perseus somehow knew where and with who his agent (Bell) was, and also assume he wanted them back. What better way to do it than have someone on the inside? Someone everyone trusts, and "oh yeah he's acting weird but it's just how he is, Vorkuta fucked him up a bit"... But it's far worse.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with this concept, but I needed to share with y'all lol

His parents named him Lev — Meaning Lion in Russian, and what are Lions are known being for?

Their strength, power and ferocity, his parents believed he would be a strong man. They was right.

He's the oldest of his two siblings, the second oldest was his brother and younger being his sister.

Growing up he was rather responsible, doing what he was told and obeying his parents commands.

Despite his cold, rough and tough demeanour. Deep down Lev is actually quite a shy man, and quite introverted.

He's not very sociable and quite grumpy half of the time, especially when his job resolves around constant communications and loots of meetings and discussions.

Pretty much he's mentally exhausted, grumpy, cranky and typically doesn't want to deal with anyone

But people will forever known him for his violent nature, and his deep friendship with Dragovitch.

Lev is definitely a workaholic, his life long devotion and service to the War was an example. And in the future in becoming Omega's leader and commanding officer.

He had been caught many times sleeping at his desk, paperwork all scrunched up.

Most of the time he is sleep deprived, which is why he relies on Coffee so much to keep his energy up.

Work is the only thing that keeps Lev occupied, outside of work he really does have any interest in anything else.

He hates being under pressure, it stresses him out a lot. Which is why Lev is seen unleashed or angry half of the time.

(Don't shout around him if he looks tired or miserable enough as it is)

Resorting to violence had always been his main language, dubbing a nick name "The bloodthirsty Colonel."

Lev hates giving hugs or overall being affectionate, but he gives really good hugs.

There is a lighter side that is shallowed and hidden away, he prefers to keep that at bay.

Lev isn't sadly good with relationships– He's a hard person to trust and very much cares about his loyalty, and overall perfers work overall.

It is rare that he calls someone his "Friend." Or as a matter of fact, care for anyone else at all.

//Updates, I'm gonna work on drafts and starters tomorrow for certain threads. If I've not responded odds are I lost the thread and if you wanna do another lemme know and I'll get it made. I'm also gonna put a read more here for the current CoD brain rot cause MWIII and MWZ has a bit of a grip on me right now.

Advanced Warfare is looking to be added into the new timeline and I think its a potential soft reboot for that story much like how Black Ops Cold War was for the Black Ops series meaning we could have some familiar beat-points but certain 'canon events' could be changed, could stay the same, we all know how that ended for Soap and I have my opinions on the story but its not the worst CoD campaign that was put out there. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either there still was some good takeaways and subtle shit.

Anyways, from my current knowledge I know that Treyarch is on deck next potentially for their newer Black Ops iteration which is rumored to be the Gulf War, which lasted between 1990 to 1991. I think Makarov's backstory is going to help seg-way into the Black Ops story.

Born before the fall of the Soviet Union, Makarov's father, as described in Vlad's MP bio, was a high-ranking politician. So when the Soviet Union fell in 1991 his father took his own life. Around this time too, we know that Imran Zakhaev was also getting a foothold in the Soviet Union as well, with Kravchenko sort of being his in, so there might be some kind of connection there where the two try to work together to help save and strengthen the Soviet Union leading to the inevitable hunt for Imran Zakhaev who is brought into the Perseus network, we bring in Russell Adler and some of his guys to help hunt for them along with a couple of additional guys, a young John Price and Captain MacMillian leading them to Pripyat to kill Zakhaev just before the fall of the Soviet Union to stop him from an arms trade of recovered Nova Six, of course Zakhaev lives but is wounded and essentially stokes up the fuel and the fire with his son Viktor.

Considering Vlad would still be a teenager around this time, he wouldn't be involved in that particular event since he joins the Russian Army in 1998 right when he turns 18 and he volunteers for General Barkov's unit a year before Barkov performs an unsanctioned attack and occupation of Urzikstan and is there up until the ULF took back their home. Makarov goes back to his superiors to plead to reclaim Urzikstan and is stripped of his honors and rank.

In comes Viktor Zakhaev looking to take Barkov's throne and who is also looking for a little bit of revenge and justice? Makarov. With a little coercion they also get Al-Asad and place him as the new leader of AQ. It plays into the titles of one of the CoD 4 missions 'The Sins of the Father' if they go that route. Might fly over the heads of most but could be a subtle little nod.
