2 – Five Festival Trends You Won’t Want to Miss This Season

Hey there. Happy Hippie back again! Hopefully these blogs will be somewhat insightful and helpful for your understanding of modern-day Music Festivals. Though, I don’t think I would feel right going further with this blog series without discussing one of my favorite categories of festival fun… outfits (duh).  What’s a festival without whipping out your most loved pair of shorts or a top that makes you feel like a million bucks? Throughout my years of attending these events, I’ve seen styles and “festie fashion” transcend into something so great. Here are a few trends you should be on the lookout for, as well as some links to help stock up your summertime wardrobe.

1.       Hoods

This is a fashion trend I’ve seen emerge a lot through this past year! What better way to rock an outfit than to secretly feel like a badass Robin Hood? These super comfy pieces are not only quite adorable, but they also are a great way to catch some shade in the hot summertime sun. The cutest pieces I have seen come from a shop called Noralina Freedom (link below). 2.       Tights

Throughout the years I’ve seen this adorably risqué style trend emerge through the rest… tights! And no, not your grandmothers black knit stocking, we’re talking sexy and bold! Throw a pair of these bad boys (or girls?) on with almost any outfit and you’re set to turn some eyes. These can easily be ordered on Amazon with Prime!

3.       Utility Belts

This trend has become one of my favorite festival accessory options. These belts are a great way to conveniently store your phone, ID, credit card, and anything else you might be needing for the day. Trust me, a purse or backpack is not something you want to be lugging around all day in the hot sun. These belts can range from on the less expensive side from around $40 (Amazon), to very nice quality leather belts for $200-$300.

4.       Kritter-Klips

This is one of the more recent trends I’ve seen recently. These cute hand-made animal ears clip right in your hair and give an adorable style pop. They come in a range of colors and have almost every style to match your personality.

5.       Slit Leggings

This edgy trend is one that has remained strong within the festival scene. This adorable hand-cut and tied trend comes in many options for you to rock. There are leggings, tops, and even jumpsuits that are mega comfy. I personally love this style because it not only screams badassery, but they’re also great to keep warm when the sun goes down at night and those temps drop low! { Model pictured : @evspinz }
