A question for ny'all

Should I write a small primer of everything of happened from before? It wouldn't be super long, but it would have basically everything you need to know to continue. I've been rereading a lot of my old logs and I'm realizing just how much there is. I kind of hate it. - Luna

DOAAC Update - September 17, 2023

Apologies for the lack of posts btw! We're currently running around doing the ADMIN thing, but Alais is working on a post summarizing everything we've learned, so that'll be coming up.

Indeed. We are slightly slowed down considering the chaos brewing in other Worlds, especially in the nonferal world.

Not to mention Sol is really giving us the run around having us spy on the Full Moon church, which means we're currently ADMINs and dealing with all the crap that comes with that. Like the nightmares. And Chandra and Tsukiyomi bitching at us daily! Gods they're so insufferable!

Yeah. Hopefully Alais and Krystal can get a log out soon, but until then, if you have questions for any of the four of us, please ask.

{- Right, as for the website, it turns out my Technology Possession magic does not work on Neocities. Thus, I am having to learn to code HTML from scratch. I am unused to this, so yeah. I wish Toby were still alive. He was indispensable for coding things, even helped programmed ALAIS. -}

no. for once, i don't have everything under control.. i feel like a fucking failure right now.

Cole and Spider lost loved ones. And I know you've lost friends. But regardless, I want you to at least try and be positive. Remember what I taught you, that the easiest way to help is to listen. ... I don't know. I'll see what I can do, but we are also struggling with loss. My heart aches for everyone we've lost. And to know that I could've done so much more and failed to do so hurts like nothing else. Could've been more proactive in investigation, could've been less wishy-washy while talking. If I get another chance to help them, I will do better and drive anyone else to do so too.

Yeah, it's been rather chill today, but we're not complaining. It's nice to have some quiet days alongside the rocky ones.

To Hinata and Luna from Crescent

A letter slides down from a pile of mail the MailMan brought in. It's decorated in black with a yellow crescent moon where the return address should be. In the center of the envelope, the name "Toby Crescent Wright" appears and below that, "To Hinata and Luna." On opening the letter, they see Toby's usually precise handwriting. It is dated January 1st, 2023. The letter reads: To Hinata, Happy birthday my friend, you're 30 years old today. Last I saw you, you were still such a small girl, but my has the time flown by. I'm writing to you to apologize for everything I've done to both you and Luna. I've learned that you're going to be staying near Luna in the same general area. Please, if you ever get a chance, take the time to go out and see her. I'm sure she'll be stoked to know you're alive. Hopefully she remembers you. I'm sure she will. Luna is a smart girl, perhaps even capable of fixing everything wrong with our World. And frankly, you two are more powerful together than it seems.

In any case, when you go to your office, do me a favor. Go check the bookshelf. I left you some things to read, some of my favorite books and comics are there. I'm not sure if I'll be able to come out to Meridian any time soon. Solaire needs me to take care of some things at home. If I have the chance, I'll send you a message through ITEM.

To Luna, if you ever read this letter, just know that no matter what happens, I will always be watching over you. You, alongside Hinata, are my best friends and two girls that I am so happy to call my family. Hopefully someday, we can all get together and catch up. Until then, take care of each other. I fully believe you two are the key to unlock all of the mysteries presented in our World. You two can solve who the Many Gods Above are. You two can stop Solaire and Full Moon.

Dream Log - May 1, 2023 Q6YgNtJNr6A "Dreams. A Gateway to Grief"

Krystal finds herself at home that fateful night. She knew her time was running short, mana extremely low. The plan she and Toby designed to stop Chandra's evil was in full effect. She kicks herself, cursing her plan. Luna is safe at home, she's got a family, a lover. But… Chandra and whoever else in the full moon, they're too powerful to stop. At least this way, Krystal could always protect her girl. Her best friend.

10pm rolls around and everything is in motion. the whispers fill the air. Krystal and Luna are sitting on the couch watching TV when Luna becomes activated. She becomes fully murderous. She is no longer Luna, but instead 6969. Knowing her fate, Krystal resigned to it. This… is what needed to happen. The Full Moon watches all. The Full Moon, a nigh unstoppable force meets Krystal, an unmovable object and Luna's perpetual defender. Krystal is slain but for a single moment, she is able to see Luna's eyes flicker blue before returning to red. Her body is limp, dead. Soul preparing to flee. But it's perfect. As soon as Krystal's soul leaves her body, it gets attracted to the locket on Luna's collar. The collar has very very small electronics on it, so she is able to possess it with the very final bit of her mana. As time passes, Krystal spends lots of time continuing to teach Luna everything she knows, but to Luna, she has no idea who's there. Out of sheer depression and intense loneliness, she refers to her imaginary friend as Krystal, unknowing that her love is still with her. Luna spends nearly the next decade alone. Talking to herself. Talking to… Krystal. Chandra laid dormant within the collar, waiting for the perfect time to strike. All of Luna's memories were locked down, and everything she archived daily was sent to Solaire to process. But Krystal knows. She knows that some day, she'll be able to reveal herself once more. Just… gotta be patient.

Most magic requires some sort of energy from inside the caster to work. For the sake of simplicity, let us call this energy Mana. Mana is pooled from within the body which then can be controlled or spent to cast Magic.

Many consider Mana to be a point value system, where certain amounts of Mana Points can be spent to cast their spells, but I find it much easier to think of Mana as a Percentage or a Battery. As one gets more used to their Magic, it generally costs less Mana to use it over time. So instead of dealing with numbers and division and all of that jazz, we can picture it as it requiring less battery to use.

Now that battery is able to recharge over time. How it charges depends between the user. Most recharge through rest. Some recharge through a good meal. For me, I charge the best when I’m feeling comfortable. My Mana regeneration is at its peak when I’m at home and not stressed, but during combat, my Mana regeneration can be slowed or even stopped altogether depending on how my body is reacting to various stimuli.

Sometimes Mana isn't even something that can be spent and regenerated. It's extremely rare, but some magicks can slowly kill the user as 'payment' for the power. These magicks are also usually extremely powerful, sometimes even capable of bending the 'rules' of the World entirely.

Like I've... I just have a feeling, kind of like an itch from deep within me, that she's still alive somewhere in the Worlds. Maybe she did escape from Solaire like Mrs. Kolt said. That...

Maybe I'm not the only LUNA left in the Worlds after all.
