Kulullû, or Fish-Man, is a prominent figure in ancient Mesopotamian mythology. He is depicted as a traditional merman, with the torso, arms and head of a human and the tail of a fish. Images of Kulullû have been found on many palaces and boundary stones.
Kulullû is often said to be a child of the primordial sea goddess Tiamat. Other texts list him as a demon. In certain Assyrian texts, he is associated with a female counterpart, kuliltu.
