引っ張ったり噛み付いたり
傷ついたふりしてみたり

浮ついたりして
思いきり傷つきたい

Pushing and pulling, biting remarks, acting hurt
Occasionally carrying over unresolved issues until the following morning
Feeling giddy at other times
Want to be hurt as much as possible
Want to stay by your side forever
Let’s break away and disappear right now

Twitterのバーコード風の予告画像と白線の上を歩く米津玄師を見たら描きたくなりました
When I saw the barcode-style preview image on Twitter and the Yonezu walking on the white line, I wanted to draw it.

Kenshi Yonesu - Creator of Worlds
In our house we share music. While I have been immersing myself in the bands and singers of South Korea, my son has been imbibing deeply of J-pop. When JK sang Kick Back back in February, our musical worlds collided for a moment and I discovered the amazing artist Kenshi Yonesu.
This multi-talented musician, singer, songwriter, producer and illustrator has an huge back catalogue of music which is slowly infiltrating all of my playlists. He's been releasing music since 2009. First, it was Vocaloid music under the name Hachi and then in 2012 he started to release songs under his own name.
In 2013 he released Santa Maria which he wrote after he experienced burn out following the release of his first album Diorama. This was the first time he ever appeared in a video and he uses a book of his own illustrations to tell the story of the song. It set the tone for many of his subsequent videos where he combines art with his real world performance.
He has some excellent songs including: Peace Sign from Bootleg (2017) which is the theme to My Hero Academia.
Lemon and Flamingo from Stray Sheep (2020) - in fact, the whole album Stray Sheep is excellent.
Lady (2023)
Moongazing (2023) the theme to Final Fantasy XVI.
The combination of Kenshi Yonesu's voice (layered and caressing) with the imagery that he brings to his videos creates whole new worlds. His vision is weird, wonderful and utterly glorious.

I want to feel the whimsy and joy that singers look like they're feeling in those music vids where they just kinda skip around a city or populated area at their leisure, jumping on shit they shouldn't be or flying through the air.
I think that would fix me.

💙☁️🌇 Song-inspired stimboard: LADY by Kenshi Yonezu - inspired by the music video ^_^
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH AND I HAVE SINCE IT CAME OUT. I love Kenshi Yonezu and he's one of, if not my favorite artist of all time!! His music means so much to me and he's a massive inspiration to me. I've known of him and listened to his music for a while now, and no matter what he does, I always LOVE his style and how he both can have an "established" sound and experiment!!
Anyway, more about the song itself. I've always loved how "light-sounding" and bouncy it is, and the piano is my favorite part (besides his voice of course) :3 It also has great lyrics, but doesn't he always have great lyrics? Also, I would KILL to be in the music video- I bet he enjoyed being in it, lol ^^; It seems fun to shoot a MV at, and it looks like he had fun with it!
And he's hot- wait, what?

I'm back and I made a fake phase (Phase X: Shinigami)
- The word on the eye in the "album cover" is shinigami (死神), "death god". It's specifically named after the rakugo story Shinigami, about a doctor who takes advantage of a shinigami's power to scam money out of patients. The shinigami eventually brings karma to the doctor. (related, you should check out the song by Kenshi Yonezu about this story, which has a bit of a Gorillaz vibe)
- King Tama => kintama (金玉), "golden balls", slang for nutsack
- Enma is the king of Hell in Japanese Buddhist mythology. The flower in Lady Enma's hair is a red spider lily, which usually symbolizes death. Her tattoo is of cherry blossoms, which symbolize transience. Her mask is a hannya, a female demon.
- Noodle's wearing a kitsune mask, which are trickster foxes. The yokai in the first image are a gashadokuro (giant skeleton that eats people at 2AM) and tsukumogami (tools like lanterns, sandals, and umbrellas that come to life after 100 years). The one Russel's holding in the bonus doodle is also a tsukumogami.

vocaloid is in literally everything you like btw. that little fucked up cat in bee and puppycat is voiced by a vocaloid named oliver. porter robinson used vocaloid in his worlds album, namely sad machine and goodbye to a world. the disastrous life of saiki k has a bgm track with miku in it. kenshi yonezu, one of the biggest artists in all of japan right now, started his career in vocaloid as hachi. "and I'm home" from madoka magica was composed by wowaka, the man who made rolling girl (along with many other iconic vocaloid songs). pre-debut members of fucking bts performed as backup dancers for a mixed kpop/vocaloid concert with SeeU and the group "glam". vocaloid was used to voice a character in metal gear solid and the game included vocaloid covers of their own songs. An episode of the simpsons used cyber diva for a joke. luka was used in the homestuck ost. mikus been on talk shows. she opened for lady gaga once. she collaborated with dominos fucking pizza. almost every modern franchise has at least some kind of vocaloid collaboration. vocaloid is genuinely one of the biggest modern pop culture phenomenons ever. one single software release led to a massive cultural boom in music and marketing and advertising and collaborations and even just general media creation and most people don't even know it. isn't that fucking insane.
