Finally got Serafina through MELE2! Now heading into MELE3 with her...

So, I played through Virmire. Got some great screenshots, but this one amused me far too much. Caleb just left Kaidan with the bomb and was going after Ashley when this krogan came charging toward them. I paused it mid-battle because I thought the armor the krogan was wearing looked cool...

But then I spun it around to look at the other side, to see what Wrex was seeing and to get an idea of where Garrus' head was and this appeared...

How cool is that???

So, Caleb Shepard's initial playthrough, almost a year ago now, was on PS3, so no mods or anything. This is why he and Kaidan don't get together until ME3 in their stories. What I was NOT prepared for was this:

After talking to the Council, after being stabbed in the back by them and Udina... a non-romanced Shepard ends up ALONE by the lockers. We won't even get into how they have no separate cut scene of their own on the way to Ilos at this point (I still have to play that part on ME:LE). Why couldn't one of the others come over? Interacted? GOD, why couldn't Wrext have stomped over, told Shepard to act like a krogan and just go do what needs to be done? SOMEthing????

Needless to say, this WON'T be how it plays out in his story...

Played some more of Becca Shepard's game last night.

So, in Becca's story, she doesn't become Spectre (at least not yet). Still, gotta play the game to get to important parts, right? So, visiting with Kaidan is literally visiting the past for her since they were at BAaT together. (and yes, that is where she got her scar)

Becca is mostly Paragon in her choices, but there are certain situations where her very well hidden temper will flare up. Mr. Bosker was one of them...

I saw the video going around that you CAN still get the Mako through on Therum. Decided to try it after having Wrex die last time and it ended up being just Caleb and Kaidan fighting the geth... alone. Took a while (maybe half hour?) but, yay! got through! :D (Armature kill = two shots - so much easier!)

*** AFTER THE BEACON EPISODE ON EDEN PRIME, WHOSE BRILLIANT IDEA IS IT TO LET SHEPARD MESS WITH PROTHEAN TECH AGAIN?????

And the walls come tumbling down... of course they do.

Now, unlike Caleb, Becca DID talk to the Council after Therum... and hung up on them after Sparatus got obnoxious about the loss of prothean ruins. (there is a reason her sister is the Spectre and not her! lol)

Mass Effect Trilogy meme

I am a fan since: 2012 when ME3 came out.  I’d been resisting, but I was big into Dragon Age and my DA friends kept bugging me to try it.  Little did I, or they, know I’d end up drowning in all the ME feels! lol

Favorite game of the series: Hmm, good questions.  I love ME1 for the start and set up for the rest of the series and for the crew, but I also really love ME3 for many of the same reasons.  Can’t really pick one over the other.

MaleShep or FemShep? 

Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer? My go-to until fairly recently has been Colonist.  However, I’ve played all three.  I’m now currently consumed by Earthborn, so I’d say it’s a tie between those two.  I enjoy Spacer, too, don’t get me wrong, but the other two are just a tick ahead of that in my mind.

Paragon or Renegade? I’d say mostly Paragade, though I have a couple who go more Renegon.  I’ve never been able to go full Renegade in a playthrough, though I’ve come close to full Paragon with one or two.

Biotics or Tech? Depends.  My go-to class is Infiltrator, but I do love biotics. In battle, though, I’d have to lean toward the biotics.

Favorite class: Infiltrator, hands down, followed by Adept (thank you @nightmarestudio606​ for helping me fix up my Adept to play so much better! :D)

Favorite companion: ME1: Kaidan;  ME2: Jack or Grunt, simply because of their banter (but also badassery);  ME3: James until I can get Kaidan

Least favorite companion: Jacob

My squad selection: based on my standard Infiltrator run:  Kaidan/Wrex in ME1, Grunt/Zaeed in ME2, Garrus/James in ME3 until I get Kaidan back and then it’s Kaidan/James (usually, though sometimes it’s Kaidan/Garrus)

Favorite in-game romance: Kaidan. 

Other pairings I like: I like most other pairings, I just don’t play them ...

Favorite NPC: Dammit, this isn’t fair!!!!  I have so many more than just one!  Ummm ... Emily Wong.  Does she count???  If not, Tali and Jack

Favorite antagonist: This is going to sound weird, but Dr. Kenson in Arrival DLC.  For some reason, I really like that mission, followed closely by the Shadow Broker in LotSB

Favorite mission: Overall throughout the games?  Grissom Academy.

Favorite loyalty mission: Tali’s, followed closely by Grunt’s

Favorite DLC: ME1: Bring Down the Sky,  ME2: Arrival just edges out Overlord and LotSB, ME3: Citadel

Control, Synthesis or Destroy? Destroy.

Favorite weapon: Either of the Widows.  When I’m not an infiltrator, the Lancer you get in ME3 (which I only just started trying recently).  Also, N7 Hurricane (if modded properly) and N7 Eagle.

Favorite place: Eletania

A quote I like: oh god, I’m terrible at remembering quotes ...  okay, I’ve got two

1)  Shepard to Garrus after Tuchanka:  “I’ll sleep when I’m dead”

2) Kaidan to (romanced?) Shepard at the beginning of the Citadel DLC in the apartment: Shepard, “What would I do without you?”  Kaidan, “You’ll never find out.”

So, I've never really been satisfied with Caleb Shepard's face in the Mass Effect games. Previously, I've had a good face for him, but it wasn't quite close enough to his face claim, so I wanted to try again.

I think I've gotten him as close as I can for now.

As I am in the middle of his ME2 game at the moment, I'll implement the new face code when I import him to ME3 and make any additional tweaks then, but I really like how he's looking now!

Now that I have a working PC again, I’ve restarted Caleb’s game in ME1.  Already, more ideas are pouring in.  Ahhh, my Irish boy, you have such a story to tell!

So, I just did the geth mission on Casbin - I know a lot of people don't care for it, but that's one of my favorites and I can't really explain why.

BUT... okay, so they fixed the glitch where going up to the geth transmitter didn't really do anything (at least on the PS3 version) and this time it DID but instead of initially reading "turn off geth comms" I read "Turn off geth.com..."

So, Camp Nano starts tomorrow and as I sat here trying to write today and fighting for every single word (and kept getting frustrated), I decided to go and re-start Caleb Shepard's ME run with his updated look.

He translated over pretty well, all things considered. All I had to do was add in his lip scar (there's a story behind that. ask Hammersmith) and darken his skin tone one tick because last time through he was just too pale. I officially love how he looks in ME1 now! Can't wait to get to ME2 and see how he looks there!
