A crossover that has been rattling around my head for a while. Dr. Marcel Masters is a demonologist and black magician of some considerable power, who abducts a young homeless man (David Merrin), Who just happens to be the grandson of Father Lankaster Merrin. The wicked doctor evokes the demon Andras from hell and forces it to possess David and run amok on a string of gruesome murders (mostly for shits and giggles).

Lucifer senses Andras' Escape From Hell and is greatly concerned as Andras is a very powerful demon and he fears that even he might not be able to coax him back into the Pit. So, he enlists the help of the Avengers along wih Amenadiel, Maz and Chloe.

ok so I already checked and posted about damien karras, lankaster merrin, and regan's very deliberate naming + the goneril tidbit, but I haven't checked the minor characters that prove a possession happened

So Elvira means "truth". In the context of the story, this is making me lose it.

I'm not sure what to make of the Dennings thing, but Burke's death at the hands of Regan was something Chris was trying to hide for a good portion of the story so the "to suppress" meaning of Burke makes sense.
