if no lap1 carnage they might try to pit early and hope for a big undercut

idk i think starting on used c6 isn't good he needs the grip for a good start. i figured out how max wins this max starts on new mediums > early sc > drivers ahead pit early > max stays out (And hadjar too 😈) > hadjar baby first train n ruins the undercut for the drivers behind him > max leads n extends his gap > pits for hards later > comes out p5/p4 until the other ahead pit again under green > max takes the lead again > late sc/redflag > max pits for used softs > max verstappen wins the monaco gp 💗💕🎀💕💗 n then i wake up

Some people claiming that the Monaco race wasn’t boring really surprises me when nothing happened during the race and it was easily one of the most boring race I’ve watched those last years.

4 overtakes in total, a lot of things happening in lap1 out of SEVENTY EIGHT where barely anything happened in the rest of it, the red flag killed all the strategy for the tyres, f1 cars driving at the pace of f2 qualifying laps, the top ten did not move the slightest … but you’re unwell if you were falling asleep in front of that?

Admitting a race is boring doesn’t mean you take anything away from the person who won it. Here, the victory of Charles was beautiful, emotional, especially considering everything that surrounds it.

But that doesn’t mean the race in itself was interesting. If Max had won it you all would have been the first to claim that it was the most boring race in a decade.

A race doesn’t have to be intense or interesting for its results to be meaningful. A victory will always be a victory.

Quali and rescheduled race 1 had to be watched at 1AM for me so I fell asleep through race 2 and woke up just before the F1 race HA just before lap1 👀 BUT DORIANE. ABBI. THIS TRACK FOR THIS GRID.

Slipping and sliding during a wet qualifying and 3 kisses into turn 3’s banking & Bustamante paid for it stuck at the back for both races yikes

ok so. charles commits the sort of terrorism we haven't seen since 9/11 on lap1. lando chokes and eats the wall. Oscar and Max sail past. it's a lestapstri podium. max takes p2 in the championship. spain td makes mclaren's illegal car doubly illegal and Ferrari stop tickling their prostate. it's a three-way battle for the title. lando goes to kick sauber. binotto gets involved in a mysterious "incident" (a vat of acid is also there). Fred vasseur gets exposed for credit card fraud. mlp theme song starts playing as Max wins his fifth consecutive title and tumblr user cainrising finally gets a job

Also watching Max's perfect start like yeah, I think people forgot how good max is because he starts at the front but he has had some of his best drives starting at the very back lmao

I'd be more afraid of a max starting at the back than one who leads on lap1

Okay but esteban is omitting information here lol the initial position swap was made because the team let esteban undercut pierre.

Agreement was made pre-race by the team that if either driver undercut, the other would get the place back.

Esteban undercuts Pierre because of his Lap 1 damage (he crashed into bottas and albon).

Then they swap positions with 8 laps to go, so Pierre rightfully thought okay, now i got the place BACK.

Esteban asked his engineer if they would swap back, his engineer said "we will see what we can do".

Pierre has been told NOTHING about this.

Then in the end Pierre's engineer asks him to give the position back, like...hello???? Ofc Pierre wont like this, he qualified ahead of his teammate, he was faster, he has been undercut - he should have that position according to the plan.

Like. Pierre is not a rookie, ofc he knows that the position swaps happen both ways. But this time, the initial swap happened because esteban already gained advantage thanks to his undercut in lap1.

I think the reason why I am annoyed is because Pierre outqualified Esteban, his average race pace was faster, yet he finished behind him. Yes swapping is the ~right~ thing to do. But did nobody in Alpine look at the driver's standings during the race and realize he would have overtaken Lance if he got that one point? I know Alpine is missing a lot of staff but girl... that's not smart.
