Opinions on a celebration fic's ending
Calling all my fellow Jorge/Pecco pairing lovers to ask for a little help! I'm finalizing a celebration fic after Jorge won his championship, and I don't really know what to make the ending of it be. I have multiple options, and I'd love it if you could help me decide, especially as you're the most likely to read this. So, given that I can't decide, I want to make it something the most of us would enjoy.
The plot is this : After Jorge wins the championship, Pecco decides to go congratulate him in his motorhome, not knowing that this will be the key for repressed feelings to resurface. Later, Jorge sends Pecco the address of a club, and Pecco makes the crazy decision to go, to continue where they left off and maybe give a resolution to years of yearning.
"bad" ending : After one unforgettable night, Jorge and Pecco return to their partners. The regret lingers, but not for that brief moment of freedom they’ll never forget.
open ending : the fic ends up just after Jorge and Pecco sleep together, without words or future plans. What comes next is entirely left to the readers.
open ending - hopeful : After it all, Jorge and Pecco have a talk, admitting they feel too much and want things to change, even if they’re not sure how.
happy ending : Jorge and Pecco talk honestly, confess feelings, resolve their pasts, and choose to try, ready to face what comes next together (breakup etc).
Yes I know, it's late for that celebration fic, but well, I started it back then, so I feel like it would be a shame not to finish it hehe.

the way I can be just like myself with you
Fermín/Pedro
When Jorge finds Fermín, he’s a quiet, wary alpha with no pack and no real understanding of his own nature. Taken in and taught by Jorge, he finds a place within this new family. But it’s Pedro, loud, bright and stubborn omega, his opposite somehow, who really makes him come alive. They bicker, play-fight, and share more than they’re ever ready to admit, including heats and ruts. However, when Pecco joins the pack, everything between them begins to shift. In the wake of jealousy, doubt, and self-erasure, they’ll have to face the truth they’ve both been afraid of: what they feel isn’t just friendship.
There will be indeed three chapters, the first one is up already and the two others will be out this week. Turns out it did end up being bigger than the Jorge/Pecco part, who would've thought haha. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story, if you ever decide to give it a go :)

Periodic rent-lowering-gunshots:
Fiction is not reality.
You can enjoy things in fiction that would be awful in the real world. Like playing a murderhobo in a game! In the real world, being or supporting a murderer-thief would be pretty damn awful, while in the game it's just good fun. Same with anything else you choose to do with the pixels on the screen, like kinks that don't affect anyone real, so they're okay in fiction, but would be pretty damn bad in real life.
No one else is responsible for your online experience. They are required not to harass you, but they are not and never will be obligated to not post about ships, kinks, or tropes you dislike just to avoid you seeing them. It's up to you to blacklist words or phrases, block tags, or even block users as needed to avoid seeing content that upsets you.
No one can force you to read anything against your consent. Any content you don't like seeing can be instantly avoided by closing out of the offending post/fic.
You are not owed an online experience free of discomfort.
Nothing that happens in your imagination can ever make you a bad person. Words you write or read about fictional characters will never make you a bad person.
The claim that media consumption influences real-life behavior is intellectually dishonest and serves only to excuse the behavior of real offenders.
Fiction is a safe way to explore horrifying or confusing concepts. Therapists agree that fiction, even (or especially) about taboo topics is a good coping mechanism, especially, but not exclusively, for trauma survivors. Fiction is to adults what play therapy is to children. This doesn't stop being true if the work in question is of a sexual nature.
Sex isn't an inherently worse or better motivation than anything else. A work written to create feelings of arousal isn't dirty, shameful, or in any way less pure than works written to entertain, provoke moral questions, or for other reasons. And worth noting is that multiple purposes can exist in the same story, especially fanfiction.
You aren't entitled to an explanation for why someone reads, writes, or otherwise enjoys certain works, kinks, tropes, ships, etc.

Ehhh I guess just like the Jorge/Pecco fic, it may need several chapters actually. I didn't know how long it would get but it is getting long 😂
It's a second part of the omegaverse I made about Jorge/Pecco, although you don't need to read that part to understand the fic. It's focusing on Pedro and Fermín's relationship as they navigate through their difference and misunderstandings.
Fermín is a quiet alpha, abandoned young and taken in by Jorge, still learning what it means to belong. Pedro is a bold, free-spirited omega raised without limits. When they first meet, Fermín hates Pedro for the way he tramples upon his boundaries and provokes him, but that hate and annoyance quickly turn into deep affection and a bond that goes far beyond simple pack friends. However Pecco's arrival in the pack turn things upside down and forces Pedro and Fermín to finally question what they are.
I'll see if I can get to finish it in the beginning of next week, but I'm excited. I was intrigued by their relationship, read a few great fics about them on ao3 and it got me motivated enough to pick up this fic idea and go through with it. They're really a good pair to write about, I'd love for it to be more fics about them, so I'm trying to do my part 😂

The shape of almost(s)
breaking up & making up / idiots in love / complicated relationships / denial of feelings ...
I’m not here to make friends, Liam had said. Yuki had stared hard when he heard those words. But what were they then? He thought before correcting it. What are they? Or Yuki thinks if he keeps telling himself he hates Liam, he will end up forgetting about him. But when Liam arrives in F1, all of his certainties crumble.
Another Yuki/Liam fic after a while. The fic is already written, it will be posted in three parts, hope you like it :)

Not really Lance Stroll’s biggest fan, but the way people talk about him sometimes? Wild.
It’s crazy how normalized the hate toward Lance has become in the F1 fandom. You’ll see a post about his injury and instead of concern or at least neutrality, it’s full of jokes, mockery, and insults. People straight-up accusing him of tanking a qualifying session on purpose just so he wouldn’t get replaced… are we serious?
It’s kind of funny how part of the f1 fandom turns into conspiracy theorists as soon as it’s about someone they hate. And the worst part? Those same people will go into meltdown mode if their favorite driver gets even a hint of criticism.
People will hate Lance cause he’s wealthy and he doesn’t seem interested in F1 as he shows unbothered demeanor. But when Kimi was deadpan or Oscar is chill, they’re considered “cool” or “composed.” The double standard is loud.
And the whole “he doesn’t even want to be here, he’s just forced by his dad” narrative? This man came back to drive shortly after breaking his wrist. He’s raced with a broken toe. This most recent situation? He drove six weeks in pain, hid it from the medical staff, and only had to pull out when the pain after quali became unbearable and he needed some relief for it.
Like… why would someone do that if they didn’t care?
You don’t have to like Lance. But the way he gets treated by parts of this fanbase and even media outlets is often just straight-up mean-spirited. And then people wonder why he “doesn’t care”.
And the level of commitment he’s shown? That is devotion. That is how far he’s willing to sacrifice things to be in f1
Maybe we should all be a little less comfortable with hating someone just because they’re an easy target and it’s a “cool” thing to do.
#f1#formula 1#lance stroll#rants#i just feel like ranting#just imagine a post about another driver injury#and people be like good may he never come back or it won’t make a difference or he’s shit#it would never be as popular as it is now because it’s Lance#also as a Max fan I’m so disgusted by some fans attitude#like#so that’s his retirement story so Max can come to AM#I don’t even know how to express how disappointed I am with those people#they’re the worst

Liam telling stories about him and Yuki on the Red Flags Podcast
Source: Red Flags Podcast - WE INTERVIEWED F1'S LIAM LAWSON!!! (edited down and transcribed by @press-f1-to-grieve)
to @2bluetwo85: i read your tags from that yuki and liam post. thank you for letting me know this exists (and for reading my long tags). i hope i got the right podcast you were talking about.
---
full transcription underneath beware, it's long. and i'm not familiar with the podcast (my newbie is showing) so i'm not sure which voice belongs to who. please excuse me if i got them mixed up. i listened to the episode on a podcast app and only found out they have a youtube channel later, after i had already finished everything bar hit the "post" button. the visual would have helped greatly with knowing who's speaking but alas...
---
Matt: Ye so, I wanna talk about another teammate of yours, Yuki Tsunoda. So we've read that you and Yuki go back. He lived with your parents in New Zealand?
Brian: (laughs) No! He didn't live- He didn't live with- Liam: He came to- So this is a series called the "Toyota Racing Series" in New Zealand, used to be like, really really big, especially before Covid. And basically we were both competing in it as teammates, and so he came to New Zealand. And we've been teammates a year before that in F3 and Euro Formula, so I've spent a lot of time with him already. So when he came to New Zealand, he basically just hung out with us. A lot. Like, I basically just drive around with him. Matt: So like step-brothers a little bit? Liam: Honestly, ye. (laughs)
Matt: What was your favorite thing to do with him, growing up?
Liam: It was always away from the track. Cause away from the track, he's a really funny, genuine dude. So, obviously, it's harder. When you are competing, with Yuki, (...) competing for the same seat. So, it's like, at the track, it's real intense. And then, away from that, it's real cool.
Matt: How're you able to maintain a friendship when it's just like, you know, blood sport out there for these few seats?
Liam: At points, over the year, (stammers) you know, it's not a friendship. And then he- Like, obviously, his journey was pushed a lot earlier than mine. He went to F1 quite early so, then I was- I wasn't really in competition with him anymore so- Matt: Right. Does that help your friendship? Liam: Then we are like, pretty chill again. And then we are put in competition again.
---
Brian: I think in one of the earlier seasons of Drive to Survive, you were in his room, and his room was like, all messy, and he was annoyed that they put it in.
Matt: Did you catch him on a bad day or is that just is? Brian: Is his room just a mess always? Liam: That's literally- I don't know now. Oh actually, I went to his house recently and it was a lot better. Both Hosts: (relieved) Okay! Liam: He has improved. (stammers) I remember, well, it wasn't really- (vocally winces) It was fierce because you shouldn't live like that anyway. BUT!- Both Hosts: (crying laughing emojis in audio form) Liam: But I remember, he had just moved into this apartment at the start of, I think it was the start of that year, and I- Oh no, it was the year before! But same thing, Covid, here, basically. I went to New Zealand because I was about to be locked out of the country. There was no racing. And Yuki stayed, in Milton Keynes for months. Just on (his own), he didn't go back to Japan. Like he just stayed in this apartment. Brian: Like Cast Away Liam: But I had to move into this brand new apartment and it was sick! And I went to New Zealand and I came back 3 months later. Matt: He has got a beard. Liam: And I walked into this place and it was just like DUUDE. It was bad, like it was real bad. Brian: (hums of understanding) Like takeouts and- (all three make noises of agreement) Liam: It was just food everywhere. Like, the laundry basket was just like, overflowing. Matt: Yuki was basically all of us during Covid. Brian: (enthusiastic YE's)
---
Matt: So, what are you most competitive with Yuki off the track? Like what do you guys like to-
Liam: Awe, dude, everything. Both Hosts: Ye? Liam: No, like, everything. We're like- At the moment, we've been playing table tennis. Just little disc. Matt: Oh you'll just make- Liam: M-make one! Ye, just make it. (...) not a proper one. Matt: Who is up? Liam: He plays a lot more, to be fair, but- Matt: So he crushes you. Liam: (cute babbles) No no- Both Hosts: (laugh) Liam: So, we played in Japan. I think I had him in Japan. And then we played last week and he beat me. Matt: You don't keep a serious tally? Are you better on certain surfaces? Like if it's a dinner table, you got him. Liam: On a smaller table, I have him. But on a slightly bigger table- Like depends on what table we get during race weekend.
---
Liam: But one thing with Yuki that was real funny that we did back when we were in New Zealand.
Liam: I don't know how this is a thing but you can rent a boat, at like 15 or 16 years old. And just take it out, to Lake Taupo. And so me and Yuki were like- I was probably 17 or 18 and he was like 19 or 20, and we just rented this boat, and got like, you know, biscuit, or tube? What do you call them? (...) And we just took it out and basically- It started off like real fun. Like we were just towing each other around. But then it just got like, who could throw the other person off like, the biggest. We just like, tried to kill each other on this little tube, in the middle of this lake. Matt: Just the two of you? Liam: Just the two of us. Just out there in the middle of a lake. Brian: Just the two of you tried to kill each other. Matt: It's like a fucking thriller. Liam: Honestly! I've got videos of like, him and me, like, in the air. Like, meters in the air. Matt: Who won or lost that game? Brian: "We both lost that game." Liam: Actually, I lost pretty hard on that one, to be fair. Matt: He threw you- Liam: I went off like, big time, ye. Brian: It seems like, that's the common experience of tubing, is that. It's like, it's fun and then you're like, am I gonna die? (...)
Matt: So Yuki was a master at flinging you?
Liam: Well, he would like- Sometimes I feel like it's on accident. He would like, get a lot of slack and it will just build up real fast- Both Hosts: Sure, he said it was on accident.
---
Liam: We're drivers. Everything turns into a competition.
Liam: We had a rental car, again in New Zealand with Yuki, that we like, basically would like, make a little track and just set time trials off the side of the road. Matt: Like with a Camry or something? Liam: No, Yuki had this little Mitsubishi ASX. I don't know if you know what it is, it's like a boxed car. And we, with like a couple of drivers, basically made like, a little track, and, basically goes until somebody- until Yuki crashed it. (...) The funniest thing, it wasn't even in the- He had finished his lap. It was afterward, he tried to be cool and do like a flick spin, and just totally sent it into a bank. We had to go to a store to get one of those plungers to try and plunge out the dent in the front of the- Because we had to get the car back. Brian: Right, of course. Matt: Renters insurance, man. If I see you or Yuki walk into an enterprise or something, I'll just like, go somewhere else.

Also just to be clear (and sorry I swear after that I’ll shut up) saying “but Mick Doohan said this” or “but Jack did that” isn’t a defense, it’s deflection.
If you truly don’t support the harassment or racism that’s been happening, then stop trying to justify it by pointing fingers elsewhere.
No, Jack isn’t responsible for what his dad said. And no, smiling after a crash doesn’t mean someone deserves to be harassed. Context matters : Liam Lawson literally explained that every time there’s a crash, cameramen rush in for reactions, and it’s hard not to laugh at the absurdity of it. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Jack was mocking Franco.
Jack also corrected himself after initially thinking the hateful post came from Argentinian fans. Considering the amount of harassment he’s received, can you really blame him for making that assumption in the moment?
And let’s be clear about something else: Criticism isn’t xenophobia. People calling out toxic behavior from some Argentinian fans — whether it’s the current abuse toward Jack and Yuki, or the past harassment in IndyCar around Canapino, or more repeated instances in other sports — doesn’t mean they’re attacking an entire country or culture. Criticism ≠ xenophobia, especially when that criticism is based on real, harmful behavior.
You can be a fan of Franco and still acknowledge this isn’t okay. You can stand up for your country without excusing harassment or trying to shift the blame onto others to minimize what’s happening.
Saying “I don’t condone the abuse, but…” and then excusing it is the problem. Own your stance.

On one hand, not all Argentinian fans are problematic. Of course not. Some genuinely like the sport and enjoy it in their corner, are respectful and all.
On the other, pretending that a lot of people criticizes Argentinian fans because they’re xenophobic and that they don’t hold European fans to the same standards for example is a bit disingenuous.
By that I mean that it’s especially Franco’s fans who already showcased crazy behaviors toward drivers and teams (not all of them of course). Are we forgetting the way some of his fans were wishing the worse to drivers in any team he was rumored to maybe take a seat? Are we forgetting everything that Jack went through? Are we not seen the way Yuki, who did an annoyed gesture and didn’t even show the finger, got death threats and a tons of racist comments under his post? Are we forgetting what happened with Canapino in IndyCar? And motorsports aren’t the only instances where it has been going too far and racism was excused under the guise of that’s just how we [they] are, we’re just passionate, and if you criticize us then you’re xenophobic!
Honestly I fear for any driver that will have a crash with Franco, even if it’s not their fault. I fear for Pierre if he does better than Franco, because I know his fans will find a way to blame it on him. Is this the kind of climate we want to have in F1?
Recently Jack posted about being harassed *again* and people changed the topic toward the fact : hey it’s not Argentinian fans who posted this, he’s wrong and wrongfully accusing them! But who harassed him and his family, took that post and ran with it? Plus Jack corrected himself right after.
There’s nothing wrong with being passionate about the sport, about a driver, about the fact you got someone representing your country. But there is something deeply wrong about those fans.
And again, if you haven’t done any kind of harassment, then that’s good, this post isn’t for you. However if you feel like defending people from the same country as you or that are fans of the same driver than the one you like, to the point you’re willing to excuse racism, death threats, and so on, then I can’t do anything for you :)
#f1#jack doohan#yuki tsunoda#pierre gasly#alpine#franco colapinto#Jack posting about it again motivated me to write this because#I can’t believe that even now that he lost his seat he can’t be left alone#that and everything Yuki lived :/#this is insane#this is also making a disservice to Franco himself#cause I know quite a few people have a harder time with him because of his fans#anyway#rants

Complicated relationship with the F1 fandom be like;
No I won’t ever read or write fics about it again.
Yes I’ve read fics about a new ship, that I wasn’t thinking about back then.
No I don’t want to be around when this/those ship(s) have become so popular and visible in so many fics.
Yes I still go in the F1 tag on ao3 from time to time (and filter them out).
No I don’t have the drive and the motivation for anything I wrote back then.
Yes that unfinished fic lives rent free in my head as well as others who never got published and I think about coming back to them every time.
No I don’t have any more inspiration for that fandom and I will grieve the retired drivers forever.
Yes those rookies/drivers pairings make me want to think about it again and they’re interesting content.
No I won’t engage into any more writing projects about it.
Yes I wrote for a challenge and yesterday I wrote like 2K of a fic yesterday that I will probably finish even if it felt like a fever dream?
#f1#fanfiction#formula one#rpf fic#ao3#writing#sigh#I can’t with myself#that fic is a Yuki/Liam idk why#I just contemplated the depths what they used to have and realized that I couldn’t find a fic that explored it the way I wanted#so I wrote on a whim a few things#I should be able to complete it

I ought to ask- does anyone knows about the beef between Fermín and Pedro? I heard my coms mention they used to be friends in smaller categories in passing but that they fell out, and it got me pretty curious. Does anyone know anything?

Idk there's something really sweet to me about fix-it writers. Like, me and you- maybe we couldnt make it this time, but in another universe, a million people saw the pain of our story and are writing us a happy ending, giving us the chance we never had
#fanfiction#ao3#yes#there’s just something visceral about making people finding each other again#sometimes so much pain and it’s not about to erase it but to lessen the burn#canon will always be canon#and it will always be the main universe#but I want to see my boos being happy somewhere together#does that make sense?

Man, I love Yuki, and I loved Daniel (I say it in the past as he’s not a f1 driver anymore) but some of you fans are utterly miserable. I didn’t particularly like or dislike Checo so I can’t speak for that but. It’s not because you want your driver in that redbull seat that you should turn into nothing but hatred. Seeing the treatment some of you have reserved to Liam is just so tiring. Why can’t you actively root for your driver to do well, instead of rooting against someone? Redbull is responsible for the situation in the first place, aim your hate at them.
“But his behavior-“ “but he said-“ no. You’re just looking for excuses to justify you have the moral ground into hating a driver. So you can say, I don’t hate him just because in that moment he “stole” (“stole” because that seat is not anyone’s until redbull say so and redbull are the one deciding) the seat from my driver, I hate him because it’s justified to hate him, look! He said this plus he stole the seat from my favorite driver!
Should I remind everyone that all the drivers or almost already said controversial things/acted in controversial ways/hung out with controversial people - but we act in selective memory toward the drivers we prefer, while we exacerbate the flaws of the ones we hate.
Anyway, at least tag your hate with the “anti” tag so I can avoid it (worth for every side and every driver) and those who don’t, well enjoy the block I guess (which is what I advise to do for everyone.)
Wishing the best to both Liam and Yuki, and better fans ❤️

Sometimes it feels weird how detached I can be from f1 and then my interest gets piqued. You got rookies that grab my heart by just existing, like Isack (but overall I was all smiles during the rookies video, they are pretty cute!) and drivers I start to root for because they got all the underserved hate in the world from at least three different types of fans for “stealing” a place (as if he’d refuse that opportunity in the first place) and for a quote that never gets quoted entirely and that is perfectly reasonable.
Anyway, wishing everyone the best in their cars, as the weekend approaches!
