as a single issue larys voter i was completely satisfied like we got meddling, plots, being transparently jealous of ur gf's new bf, pitting them against each other, seeing ur gf's lack of care for her new bf as a sign she actually holds no affection for you nor any political power, trying to make a political disability alliance with her son, it failing, trying again with the other one, talking about how his father thought his disability was black magic, new swish outfits, hair gel, AND he went on a gay cruise <3

thinking about Larys’s no-tongue death row refugee goons from S1E06 again. i’m assuming he still has them in his employ he gave them uniforms and badges and everything. does he get them to do busy work around the dungeon. swapping out pisspots. sweeping up the ripped out fingernails. does he send them out for snack runs when he and alicent run out of like fantasy baklava on their psychological abuse appointment date. does he make them roleplay as her so he can practice his evil monologues. do they do recon around casa Mysaria and communicate the cool tactics she’s using via charades so larys can swipe all the papers off his desk in a rage and stew the rest of the night like a serious man does. do you think they practice the art of Mime on breaks.

i have my Issues™️ with their handling of him obviously but it’s so inspired that they made show!larys this flouncy. it might just be a cheap way of connecting him to varys but i fucking LOVE IT IT SUITS HIM SO WELL!!!! the man does his little patricide/fratricide drama (slay,) inherits THEE most haunted house in the universe, and immediately starts pouring the budget into the hugest fanciest coats he can buy. his cringefail swag has alicent in a deathgrip. can’t wait to see him and mysaria mudwrestling to the death for the title of “Hottest Sneaky Girl in King’s Landing.”

one of the things i love the most abt dance era House Strong is that they’re the exact inverse of the “family coaxes their goth teenager outside for once” trope. like what is the trauma? when did it happen? is it the cumulative trauma of living in a society that’s ableist to the point i’d consider it exterminatory? is it the cumulative trauma of repeat medical examination of something he’s been told to be ashamed of at every turn by that same society? if it was more of an acute snap, was the trauma also sexual like his abuse is? was there some type of Tysha situation? was forced exposure involved? were women present? were they unwilling viewers? were they disgusted by him? is he directly recreating these experiences with Alicent and hurting her instead? what do you mean?
