do you. do you think, in the nether, that mumbo was maybe so insistent on his deadly predicament being Grian's fault (despite it very obviously being his own, actually) because the last time they were together in the life series, his final death was Grian stabbing him through the chest?

are you also insane about the fact that in the end, mumbo's final death here, just like in last life, followed Timmy's death? that both of their final deaths were once again caused by Grian?

I was watching Last Life and Double Life animatics... When a huge head cannon came in mind.

What if this entire Life Series revolves around Scott?

(SPOILERS FOR THE FOUR PREVIOUS LIFE SERIES IN HERE)

In 3rd Life: Grian won.

This makes sense, he's a Watcher.

In Last Life: Scott won.

And the watchers made it clear that Scott was too powerful and too strong to be left alone. From then on, it gets even more interesting.

Double Life: Pearl wins.

Scott and Pearl were soulmates. They were bound together.

Limited Life: Martyn wins.

Scott and Martyn were the Mean Gills. They were bound together. (...also a Listener winning??)

It's strange how after Last Life, each person Scott partners up with, wins.

But it doesn't just start with Last Life. I believe this connects with the Canary Curse with Jimmy. After 3rd Life, and being Flower Husbands with Scott, Jimmy's been cursed with the vex of dying first in the Life Series. No matter if he's partnered up with Scott, the curse still carries and he still dies first.

The thing is... What could it all mean? Does that mean Scott has become a Watcher himself alongside Grian? Handing the crown to the player who befriended him (and in Pearl's case: soul-bounded to him)?

And could Jimmy's Canary Curse be the reprimanding of loving a Watcher when he himself is a Listener?

What do you all think? Am I reading into this too much? (Probably.) But I can't wait to see how Secret Life pans out.

Ranking the life series seasons (excluding secret life cuz it’s not finished yet) from worst to best through a completely unbiased lens

4th: 3rd Life. It was fun and all and set a fun precedent for arson in the future but Joel didn’t manage to get any kills and was kind of a side character the whole time

3rd: Double Life. It pains me to put it this low because it’s so good! Boat Boys 🔛🔝 the only reason it’s below second place is because it’s a bite sized season.

2nd: Limited Life. It was Joel’s worst performance placement-wise but even despite that he was still the star of the show fr! He had such a good run no matter how short it was. Lots of kills, great alliances and rivalries, so many good moments.

1st: Last Life. Joel was literally the main character and he got top 5!!! He completely made up for his zero kills in 3L by getting the most here!!! He slayed fr

So yeah that’s my completely unbiased opinion of what the objectively best seasons are so far thanks for listening

man's friends randomly disappeared for like 2 months and came back utterly traumatized

and mumbo was like oh gods what did you all go through

he isn't in double or limited life

because he's too traumatized to be

Soo I’m PRETTY SURE someone has to have pointed this out before me, but I can’t remember seeing it said, so does anyone wanna talk about Impulse always being final killed by the winners? (Real Life does not count)

3rd Life is the one that causes this to fall apart, since he died to Bdubs, who was told to do the kill by Scar. So it’s a REAL stretch to say Grian caused his death, but hey, at least he was standing there encouraging it and even attempting to assist!

But in Last Life Scott shot him during the Wither fight, and then he won.

Then in Double Life, Pearl killed him and Bdubs in the finale and won not long after.

In Limited Life, Impulse was second place, so of COURSE he was killed by the winner.

In Secret Life, it’s no surprise Scar killed him, seeing as he final killed many of the players, but it’s still a surprise that this is the fourth time in a row he’s been killed by the winner!

Did I mention how Jimmy also betrayed Martyn and then got confronted about it and tried to backpedal, which parallels the southlands life theft fiasco from Last Life?

The southlander boys really just went into this episode, speedran giving us as many Last Life deja vu moments as possible and then backflipped into two boss mobs and died huh

Because it’s about choosing someone!! It’s about choosing who you bond your life to. But it’s also about losing someone you didn’t even have yet. Leaving one path to walk upon another. It’s the declarations of “I hate you!” “I hate you too!” and the fact that in an a world where souls are bonded, some people still end up on their own.

Holy shit double life is literally a fucking fanfic.

Like first off love they call them soulmates and not like. Bonded pairs or something. Fan service.

But also.

Grian knows they’re soulmates but Scar has no idea even if it seems so obvious that Grian believes he’s purposefully lying/joking. From grian’s pov this is one of those fanfics where one person has soulmate baggage and refuses to accept having one even if it’s obvious. The way Grian tries to prove it to him and scar looks away exactly as he takes damage. Wouldn’t you think your soulmate was trying to reject you? That your soulmate is desperately trying to avoid the truth that they’re your soulmate? Like man. And from scar’s pov he’s JUST STUPID!!! Scar gets to have that moment of flashing back to everything that indicated they were soulmates that he just. Missed. Like oh my god
