Ray Turner, "Woman no. 18," 2008-2015, Oil on Glass, 12 x 12 Inches. This woman was one of the 85 participants I painted for the Long Beach Museum of Art. It was a full throttle preparation, having painted that many in ten weeks, several other GMBM pieces, a catalogue, and 350 street banners all over Long Beach. The only regret I have from that exhibit is I left out the thank you I had written for the director of the museum, from the catalogue. It was a major mistake, and one I still sort of cringe from, as he could not have been more supportive and generous. I needed an assistant and got one not long after that, which was a wonderful move. Anyway sorry again Ron Nelson! sending love and gratitude. That was nearly ten years ago.
