Welcome to the Lord Crimson AU askblog! This isnt really a story blog like the other ones, but you will get tidbits of lore as the blog goes on. Information on the AU is on @artoutoftheblue 's blog under the #lc stuff tag. The majority of the crossovers mentioned over there are canon here as well!
Basically this is a universe branching off of another au where Bloodmoon got redeemed and befriended Lunar after killing Eclipse. Both Sun and Moon are no longer around because they got decommissioned after going insane. Solar was built to replace them. They were getting bothered by Eclipses ghost and Solar told Crimson about it, and Crimson decided to use the star to protect their remaining siblings and Monty, but ended up not fully understanding how to use it and ended up making theirself God, they then split the stars power between theirself, Lunar, and Solar. Pollux came down to earth one day and befriended them, then got Castor to do the same
No NSFW asks are allowed! If I find any, they will be deleted and you will be blocked!! Anything else is fine

Official Little Camper Soundtrack: 🫒
About the playlist: A (mostly) time accurate soundtrack consisting of mostly popular music in the years 1998-2009. Some are from earlier years. The playlist also (mostly) is chronological, so it follows the whole arc of the story. Have fun trying to solve the mysteries within, Athena kids ;)
Could You Be Quiet? I'm Trying To Read: 📖
About the playlist: Sometimes while both reading and writing, I find that listening to music with lyrics is distracting. To combat that, I made a playlist of soundtrack instrumentals. It used to be my writing playlist for Little Camper, so it has all the music that helped inspire the writing on it (all of it that is without lyrics, that is) and is intended to be listened to when you're reading Little Camper but have grown fatigued with the 2000's party bangers.
Mikrí Eliá Character playlist: 🍇
About the playlist: In celebration of Little Camper being out, this playlist asks the question: "What would Stephanie's life sound like, according to Stephanie?" and the answer is: "Vibes, Vibes and nothing but Vibes" (Some of these also contain eastereggs)
Castor and Pollux playlist: ♊️
About the playlist: Nothing but vibes (its what they would’ve wanted)

About the playlist: Mr D has a lot of time on his hands. Might as well mess around with the age old magick known as “making a mixtape” - expect divorced dad energy and maybe a few easter eggs (bc the gods are like that)

Frequently Asked Questions/Q&A:
"What is Little Camper?"
Little Camper is a Percy Jackson fanfic, spanning the years 2002-2009. It follows Stephanie Olive Overbaum as she navigates life as a young demigod, which turns out to be more difficult than expected, due to the uprising of Kronos and campers turning to his side to fight the gods. It's a coming of age story mainly focused on the themes of Family, Mythology, Friendship and, well, War.
"Will Little Camper be canon compliant?"
Yes! and no!
I am trying to keep it as consistent with canon as possible, however the story includes original characters I made up (because most of the campers we know and love are too young to have been at camp since 2002. Don't worry they begin to trickle in as time goes on) as well as some minor deviations from the plot and slight changes in relationships and ages.
The ages are mostly because Rick never really specified them, so I kind of just tweaked a couple of characters' ages by one or two years, nothing drastic. You probably won't even notice it, because it's not really that important to the plot, in the first place – merely a logistical thing. It is fanfiction, though, so there are bound to be things that will be based on my own headcanons and ideas that popped into my head while reading these amazing books. On that note, I've tried to steer clear of other people's headcanons, just because I don't want to accidentally incorporate someone else's ideas and not be able to give credit bc I've lost track of the original post, so if you've sent me headcanons it's very much appreciated, and I can't wait to read them when I'm done writing (probably years from now, considering the pace I'm going) and if you see something in Little Camper that aligns with someone else's headcanons that is completely unintentional.
"Is it going to be written like the pjo books?"
Kinda? It is written in the third person, so probably closer to HOO than PJO. I don't care for reading first person fanfiction personally (unless it's used for a really good reason), so it'd be pretty odd for me to write it. Also I might as well disclaim that I can never be Rick Riordan lol
Instead I've settled for keeping the general tone and feel of the books in Little Camper. So no (explicit) swearing etc. But hopefully at the very least some of the humor will come through, even if it's with my own twist on it.
"Is Stephanie a self-insert"
No. While I have nothing against self-inserts, Stephanie isn't one. She's intended to be an original character, in the traditional sense that she's original (ie. Not part of canon) but she isn't a stand-in for anyone, except maybe the reader of the story–So that would be you. But not moreso than Percy is meant to be a stand in for the reader through his story. We follow Stephanie and get her perspective on it. She isn't meant to be anyone, other than just Steph.
Whether an author is ever truly separated from a character they make and whether we give them traits from our own lives etc is always a fun debate to have but to clear things up: Yeah I probably *did* give her a couple things here and there that were, more or less, inspired by me–Nothing major, because I'm a big fan of subtetly when constructing characters, I'm pretty sure her preferance for collecting jewelry, despite rarely wearing it, came from me? but we're talking that level of reference.
She did start off as a joke, after all, so she had some pretty "interesting" traits and skills in the early beginnings of Little Camper. For example, there was an early draft of her character sheet that mentioned she plays the drums. Why? Because I've always wanted to play the drums. But that's a thing of the past.
"What do you mean Stephanie started as a joke?"
What an excellent question, totally real person asking all these questions who is not just me, trying to infodump and provide context for the story I'm writing!
You see, Little Camper is a joke. Or it's one of those things that started off as a 'hahah wouldn't it be funny if...' inside jokes between me and my friend, Sofie, who also beta-reads (when she has time), acts as professional 'idea-bounce-backer' and ensures the quality of my work is above 'unreadable'. Basically she got me into pjo and I got sucked in, as I always have been, and decided I'd make a lil guy– a little camper, if you will. And thus Stephanie was born sometime between my first read of book one and three. I'm pretty sure I made her between the first two books but I don't remember exactly. I know it was before book 4, because I proudly showed off her picrew (see below)
Tumblr media
and very basic character sheet to Sof with the promise of making Stephanie my first ever oc who wasn't going to be traumatised and have a tragic backstory and all that jazz...
And then I read The Battle Of The Labyrinth and that really derailed everything. Canon event for cabin 12 kids, I'm afraid.
But she really started off as a bit of a joke. I didn't take her very seriously and it definitely showed in her design, her backstory and the silly nick-names I gave her grandparents. If you're curious about this 'early-prototype' Steph I can reveal she had a clowncore phase, was obsessed (with a capital O) with 90's cartoons a la spongebob, played the drums and had zero idea what to do with her life, bouncing from part time jobs like a disney channel character. She worked at zoo's, bookstores, restaurants, schools, icecream shops– anywhere you can imagine a miserable teenager biding their time, Stephanie had worked a month or two before quitting because 'it wasn't the right fit'. Oh and Rhonda was based on ghibli mothers. Still is, deep down, she just got better development.
And no. I didn't intend for it to be named Little Camper, and arguably far too silly name for what it ended up being. Never. Ever. Give your early projects a placeholder name. It sticks.
"What about Stephanie now? What can you tell me--without spoilers-- about her?"
I am working on polishing all my oc's character sheets. I made it as a mini 'demigod files' - yk - age, name, place of birth, favorite song etc and she's featured there. But for the sake of answering the question:
This
Tumblr media
Is Stephanie Olive Overbaum. She's about 9/10 years old at the start of Little Camper. By the end of it she's gonna be 17/18.
Fast facts:
From North Carolina, USA. Born to Rhonda Overbaum on July 17th, 1991. Rhonda was 19 and had just started her business as a wedding planner.
Family Meemaw (Debbie) and Peepaw (Christopher sr.) Overbaum own Whitland Vineyards, which is the oldest and largest of it's kind in the state of North Carolina. Possibly the entire south, but that's too long to write on their postcards. Other family includes Jeremy, Rhonda's brother, his wife Jennifer and their two children: Christopher jr (called simply 'Topher' by the family) and Maisie.
Noticeable physical traits: Stephanie has two scars that you might notice. The most prominent is the one on her lips. She got that bc she'd seen a cartoon character picking his teeth with it and decided to try it with a steak knife. Don't do that. It went very wrong. The other one is less noticeable. She got that fighting a monster but I really can't say more (ooh suspense!)
Hobbies include: Drawing (poorly), not dying, eating, watching cartoons, swordfighting, music (listening= well, playing=poorly), theatre (assigned theatre kid by godly parentage), playing pinochle, not dying.
Fav food: Anything and everything italian. Partial to bread in all it's forms, preferably with either just plain or with camp's strawberry jam.
Fav beverage: Coke. Full fat. Not diet.
Powers: [REDACTED]
"How long is Little Camper– And why is it taking so darn long to write it?"
Currently I have a little over 50.000 words written to be edited down, polished and published. That's mostly the first year of Little Camper (the story is parted up into 'years' for an easier overview and each part is a collection of chapters taking place within that year ie. Year one is 2002. The chapters in year one span from June-December. Other years vary the months more). I tried to do the math based on the chapters I have planned (if an average chapter is 4000 words max, and I have x chapters planned), and it came out to be around 260.000 words. And that's simply an estimate. Will it actually be that long? Maybe, maybe not–That really depends on what it gets boiled down to when I edit it. Also some chapters I have planned might not end up being published, if I change my mind about them as I go along. But I have the general story planned from start to finish, and a little extra on the side, so there will be no abandoning the project, even if it takes a while to finish.
Why it takes so long is due to several things. For one, I'm not a fast writer. I never have been and I don't really think I'd like to be one. I like sinking my teeth into a story if it means it gets to be the best it can be. Another reason is that I, like so many other people who felt seen by and related to the Percy Jackson books, have adhd. And until extremely recently, I was undiagnosed, and unmedicated. I'm still figuring out how to work with my adhd rather than work how I used to assume I 'had' to work. Then there's the fact that I don't have all the time in the world to write, even if I'd like it. I work and I have other hobbies I'd like to spend time on, so writing doesn't always come first for me. I'm really sorry if you're getting impatient, It's probably not going to get better, I'm afraid– But once I start updating the fic, you'll get lots of content at a time, which should keep you busy while I work on the next part.
"Yeah okay, but what's it like–actually about?"
If I told you that there wouldn't be much intrigue to it...Put it this way: In one way, its a story about Luke Castellan. In another way it's a story about a father and daughter's strained relationship. In a completely different way it's about gods, and fate. In a simple way, it's a comedy. In a more complicated way it's a tragedy. In a more subtle sense it's a lovestory. Chapter wise it's slice of life. It is many things. You'll just have to read it when it comes out to find out if you like those things.
"I don't like ocs/some other thing you mentioned"
That's fine. You probably should read something else, though. I can't help you there! That's kind of my whole thing.
"Hi. Calling in from the future. I read it and I didn't like it >:("
Sorry to hear that. But I think now is a good time to remind you this is a story that started out as an inside joke between a friend and me. It was never really inteded to have other people read it. I'm glad you gave it a shot, though! That was very nice of you.
And: Please don't tell me if you didn't like it– I really don't want to know, nor do I really care whether you like it or not, as per the last point.
"I have a Percy Jackson oc too! Can I tell you about them/ Can you feature them in Little Camper?"
Sadly I already have far too many demigods to manage (they are very difficult to manage), and so I can't really add more – at least not right now! But I'd love to hear about them, I have no doubt they're great!
"Can I ask for your advice on writing, making ocs, etc etc?"
Sure! My inbox is always open. I can't promise I'll be much help but I'll leave whether I seem worthy of questions be up to you lol
Updates/changes due to happen as I go on :0

CO 1008: Five Pregnancies and Counting
Sorry again for the late recap- finals are really kicking my booty this semester! On this episode, the ladies have a garden party, the Seewalds revisit the location of their engagement, Jessa & Kendra go to the park, the pregnant sisters swap clothes, and Lauren and Josiah have an ultrasound and gender reveal. General miscarriage content warning in this one, and one particularly tough paragraph is marked.
-T
Five Duggar ladies are pregnant, and Jana is hosting a garden party before Jessa gives birth to enjoy time together. Jessa, Kendra, Lauren, Anna and Joy are pregnant together; everyone but Jessa (due in June) is due in November. It is raining, and they are hoping the rain will clear before the party. The sun comes out and it is time for the party. Kendra, Lauren Caldwell (hereinafter "LC") and Christina Caldwell arrive. Jana has set up food inside to start.  Laura DeMasie (hereinafter "LDM") jokes to Jessa that they should have served spicy food to kickstart her labor. Jessa says it would be bad timing now because they have a wedding (Carlvan's, presumably) to attend. Jessa says she has felt the best this pregnancy as she has been eating clean and taking her vitamins consistently. Anna says she is the last due, and about 13 weeks at the party.
The sun has come out, so the ladies move to Jana's garden to arrange flowers. Kendra says she has bad morning sickness and super emotional throughout her pregnancy. Lauren says she was very sick in the first trimester but it is starting to wear off. Luckily, the Duggars confirm due dates for us: Joy is due the November 6th, Kendra the 9th, Lauren the 17th meaning 3 babies due within 8 days of each other. Michelle says it is hard to keep track of who is pregnant. Michelle suggest that they should take a pregnant ladies photo, and Jessa suggests they do a professional shoot. Jana says the party was a success, even with the rain, and they will do another one soon.
At the Seewalds, Jessa and Ben are preparing for a family trip to Eureka Springs, where Ben proposed. It is coming up on 5 years since the proposal, so they are going back to reminisce on their proposal. Ben says the new baby will change family dynamic. Jessa says the proposal was a huge surprise. The first stop is Basin Spring park, where Jessa had to collect 12 roses from 12 strangers which was awkward for her. Ben says he should've had her sing karaoke. Jessa says she had no cravings but aversions to coffee and chickens. Lauren says the same thing, just aversions, Joy says no meat, and Kendra says no sweets.  The Seewalds stop for a treat at a pastry shop near the park. Next stop is the train. The boys are very excited to ride the train. Jessa says a new sibling will be a big adjustment for Henry. Spurgeon gets it more than Henry, Jessa says.  The train ride concludes, and then the family heads to the chapel where they got engaged.
Jessa and Ben share their memories of their day (with Jinger chaperoning) and talk about how special it is to be back there with two kids. Jessa says it is crazy to be back and see how much time has flown. Ben gets down on one knee again and asks "stay married to me?" Jessa says, "always." They talk about how special this trip was, and how much they love each other and how blessed they are to be married to each other.
[tw: miscarriage] Lauren and Josiah are going to get an ultrasound done, which is emotional after the loss of their first pregnancy. Lauren says she is always scared that something is not right- she has had some spotting and progesterone level issues at the beginning- they were worried they would lose this one. Lauren says Josiah has been her rock through this pregnancy. The ultrasound begins, and the doctor shows them the head and torso. They hear the heartbeat, and both Josiah and Lauren beam. Everything looks good, which Josiah and Lauren are very glad to hear. They get ultrasound pictures, and a blood test to get a gender reveal. [/end tw miscarriage].
At Joe & Kendra's, Kendra and Jessa are taking their sons to the park. Garrett is 11 months old, nearly walking and extremely cute. Kendra says this pregnancy is harder since she can't rest as much with Garrett. Kendra says she wants advice from Jessa about handling two little ones. Jessa says it is almost liking having twins having kids that close together. Jessa says it is hard to convince the older sibling to be gentle with the baby. Jessa points out that the park was not enclosed- the entrance was open so the boys could escape. Kendra goes to grab something from the car, so Jessa holds Garrett as she watches the boys. Henry immediately starts eating chips he found on the ground. The boys start getting fussy, so it is time to head home for naptime but they enjoyed the outing.
The pregnant ladies are having a maternity clothes swap to switch up their wardrobes. They have fun trying on clothes and swapping stuff that doesn't fit.  They talk about ruching, and how that is helpful in maternity clothes. None of the boys know what ruching is. Jana adds elastic to some tops to add that ruching effect. Michelle says it is surreal to watch her kids have kids. Jessa says she does not think the baby will come early, she's gone 5 days late both times and she thinks she will again. Jessa says she loves the newborn phase and is excited to see the boys meet the baby. The photoshoot is discussed, and everyone talks about the style they will go for. Lauren says times like this are very special.
At the Swanson home, Josiah and Lauren are having a gender reveal party. Lily, Lauren's sister, is setting up tables on the lawn. Josiah thinks it is a girl, Lauren says boy. The other Duggars put their guesses out there, and the family starts arriving for the party. Lily has lots of balloons- most of them have white confetti, and one has pink or blue confetti.  Josiah and Lauren start popping balloons, and they get a lot of white ones. One of the kids releases a balloon, and suddenly they worry that that balloon is the reveal balloon.  As they keep going, everyone thinks the escaped balloon was the one. Kendra said this seemed like a set up. All the balloons are popped, and still no reveal. Lil says she left one inside, she'll go find it.  Ben is glad to see Josiah on the end of a prank. Lily comes out with a huge balloon, and everyone laughs. Josiah pops the balloon, and the confetti is pink. Josiah kisses Lauren, and everyone cheers. Lauren's mom is excited to go shopping. Lauren jokes they won't get to use their boy name. Josiah explains they are doing an alphabetical theme, starting with Asa and Baby #2 will be Bella Milagro- beautiful miracle.  Michelle says it is a joy to get to be excited for them about this baby girl coming.
On May 26, Jessa's water broke was she was making breakfast, and baby is officially on the way. Jessa says most of her family is at wedding in Tennessee and her midwife is also out of town. Jill is in town and has come over and gives Jessa castor oil. Michelle and Jana are flying back for the birth. Everyone is surprised Jessa has gone early. Jessa's contractions have picked up, and the baby is officially on the way.

Lock was more considerate than a loaf of white bread, at least you could say that about him. He couldn’t remember offhand what Pollux’s obsession with bread as a gift was, but supposed it didn’t really fuckin’ matter, in the grand scheme of things.
The stable was quickly becoming a place more familiar to Lock than his own home could be sometimes. He was here often, visiting the horses, and if Castor just happened to be here every time Lock came by... Oh well. Worse things had happened than eating lunch with a Tyndaridae.
He made it up onto the roof where Pollux was seated, somehow, all but dropping the cinnamon roll into the other’s lap. “Hope it didn’t have to be boring bread.” He said, by way of greeting, dangling his legs over the side of the stable and looking out at the horizon in front of them.

Turmeric and flax seed are natural treatments for endometriosis
Turmeric and flax seed are natural treatments for endometriosis
This is a gynecological condition which is affecting approximately 10% of girls and women all around the world [1]. This condition is happening when the endometrium which is tissue that makes up inside the surface of the uterus, grows outside the uterine cavity. It can grow on the tissues lining the pelvis, bowel and ovaries. This misplaced endometrial tissue follows the normal menstrual cycle (it grows, thickens and breaks down) due to the hormonal changes that are happening in woman’s body. It has no way to exit her body and it becomes trapped and it is causing irritation and formation of scars and adhesions. This is causing severe pain during periods and possible fertility. Both factors can have a massive impact on the life of woman. Women from all ages are having risk of developing endometriosis. In the most cases it affects women from 25 – 40. The exact cause for this condition is now known. A key role in endometriosis can play backflow of menstrual fluid and the retrograde menstruation. Also there are other factors that could lead to endometriosis such as the reproductive system, the immune system, environmental toxins like dioxins that affect the body, a weak immune system and genetics. The most common symptoms of endometriosis are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, swollen abdomen, infertility, fatigue, heavy or irregular bleeding during menstrual periods, painful bowel movements, pain during sexual intercourse, sharp pain during ovulation and pelvic pain and cramping during menstruation. The symptoms of endometriosis can vary from woman to woman. In the most cases women who suffer from endometriosis have no symptoms. This condition tends to get better when menopause begin. You can try some of the below mentioned home remedies to control the severity of endometriosis and alleviate the main symptoms of pain and infertility. You need to talk with your doctor before you start using some of the below mentioned home remedies for endometriosis if they are suitable for you and for the proper dosage.
Home remedies for endometriosis
Wild asparagus: Wild asparagus in Ayurveda was known as shatavari. It is rich in folic acid and it can help to treat anemia as well as endometriosis that is caused by a deficiency of folic acid. Also it has Vitamin E which can help to alleviate the pain, particularly cramps. You should mix one teaspoon of wild asparagus powder in one glass of warm milk. You should drink this home remedy 2 times per day until you feel better. [2] Dandelion: There are many herbalists which are recommending dandelion as a natural treatment for alleviating the symptoms of endometriosis. It can strengthen kidneys and liver and also it can help to regulate the hormone levels. You should put one teaspoon of dried dandelion root in one cup. You should pour hot water in the cup, cover it and let it steep for ten minutes. Strain it and add honey for taste. You should drink this tea 2 or 3 times per day until you get better. [3] Turmeric: Turmeric has curcumin which has anti – inflammatory benefits which can be used as natural treatment for endometriosis. It has been shown that it has anti – endometriotic property [4]. You should bring 2 cups of water to boil and you should add one teaspoon each of ginger powder and turmeric powder and one tablespoon each of lemon juice and honey. Drink this home remedy once per day until you rid of the problem. Also you can take turmeric capsules (300 mg) 3 times per day. You should avoid turmeric remedies if you are taking blood – thinning medications. Flaxseed: This is a very effective home remedy for endometriosis. It has Omega – 3 fatty acids and antioxidants which can help to slow the growth of abnormal endometrial tissue. The flaxseed can help the body to eliminate the harmful toxins. You should soak 3 – 4 tablespoons of flaxseeds in one cup of water overnight. You should strain it and drink the water in the next morning. You should follow this home remedy until your symptoms subside. Also you can add ground flaxseeds to salads, soups, smoothies and yogurt. [5] Pelvic massage: You should massage your pelvic area and abdomen with essential oils like sandalwood or lavender because it can help a lot to relax and soothe minor pain that is associated with endometriosis. You should lie on the bed and stretch out your body. You should rub some essential oil on your stomach. You should gently massage in a rotating pattern for 5 – 10 minutes. You should do this natural treatment once per day. You should not do this massage during your menstrual cycle. You should try to maintain a healthy weight and you should avoid fatty foods. You should not drink homogenized milk. You should try to drink filtered water or spring water. Also you should avoid alcohol and do not smoke. You need to take all the necessary steps to reduce the stress.
Natural treatments for endometriosis
Sitz bath: Many naturopathy practitioners are recommending a contrast hot and cold sitz bath because it can help to reduce the symptoms of endometriosis. The hot bath will help to relax the pelvic muscles which in turn can reduce pain and cramping. The cold bath can help to reduce the inflammation and alleviate the pain. You should fill 2 large bathtubs, one with cold water and another with hot water. You should add ten drops of lavender essential oil or rosemary essential oil to each bath and stir well. You should sit in the tub with hot water up to your waist for 3 – 5 minutes. Then, you should sit in the tub of cold water up to your waist for one minute. You should repeat this natural treatment for 2 – 5 rounds. You should do this natural treatment 3 – 5 times a week. You should avoid this natural treatment during menstruation. Castor oil: This is one of the most effective home remedies for endometriosis. It can help your body to rid of the excess toxins and tissues. This home remedy should be used at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, when the cramping is first noticed. It can help to reduce the severity of symptoms throughout the cycle. You should mix ¼ cup of castor oil with 8 drops of lavender essential oil. You should soak a washcloth in this home remedy, fold it and heat it in the microwave until it is comfortably warm. You should place warm cloth directly on your lower stomach. You should put a piece of plastic on top of the cloth and you should place a hot water bottle on the top of that. You should use this pack once per day for thirty to sixty minutes. You should rinse it off with lukewarm water after each application. You should not use this home remedy during the menstrual flow. Chamomile: This home remedy has anti – inflammatory properties which can help to reduce the inflammation as well as swelling that is often associated with endometriosis. Also it acts as a natural diuretic which can help to flush out the bladder. You need to steep two teaspoons of dried chamomile in one cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Hrrrgrh...Pollux and Castor were probably the only stars that decided to visit earth. Pollux deciding to do it before Castor just because she was curious, then dragged Castor along after a few times of doing it herself. She became friends with the trio and Monty, and thought Castor would like to meet some of her friends as well. Prince Lunar was curious about Castor, and decided to start talking to him more and more. Each visit they always had to go back up to space for a while before returning. So Prince Lunar was never really worried about them not returning. They just hated the time of how long it took them to return, because it was completely random. But each time those two come back, Prince Lunar just instantly latches back onto Castor lol
