Dovid, Basya, and Risa are the children of Joe Gingold, a paramedic, and Malka Ellis-Gingold, an archaeologist. Their father was born and raised in London but emigrated to New York City, where their mother was from, as a teenager.

The siblings grew up in Brooklyn. While their family was far from rich, their parents sought to give them as expansive a view of the world as possible, and thanks to their mother’s job they traveled quite often.

It was on one of those trips 20 years ago that their parents were killed when a small plane they were on crashed. Subsequently, they were raised by their maternal grandparents.

Past that, and other general family background stuff, pretty much everything about the siblings is up for interpretation!

Risa first came to London to attend Goldsmiths, when/why they live here and what they do is totally up to player.

Connection description: Most of what you need to know about the Frykberg family is described in Wes’ bio, but, to make a long story short: their father is a a successful engineer, their mother was a successful screenwriter. Their father had a little ~affair on the side that neither of them knew about, and in 1994 their parents divorced. They moved from California to NYC to live with their father and this drives an irreconcilable wedge between them and their mother. It is not until decades later that Wes reconnected with their mother (Naomi could have done so earlier, up to you) though she dies in 2014 of cancer. More about Naomi, she’s married, has kids, and is a high-power momager. You can put her in whatever field you’d like and have free-rein with her characterization and history!
