Types Of freight And How Can Cross Canada Shipping Help Your Business?
The vastness of the Canadian environment necessitates a thorough grasp of the various logistical obstacles it presents as well as the range of shipping options accessible. With thousands of km separating its coasts, Canada provides a wide range of choices to meet a variety of logistical needs, not quite a truckload When smaller goods does not necessitate the utilisation of a full truck trailer, freight less-than-truckload, or LTL, freight shipment is utilised. A sizable amount of B2B cargo in North America uses this mode of transportation.
Forms of Cargo
If a company wants to cut costs and save time, its best option is less than truckload (LTL) transportation. You can save paying for the whole truckload when you use LTL freight shipment by consolidating your freight with that of other businesses into a single truckload. Shipments of products that need to get to their destination as soon as possible are best served by whole truckload (FTL) delivery.
Full truckload (FTL) freight shipping transports cargo straight from one shipper to one destination by utilising the complete truck load. When shipments need to reach their destination sooner, have special cargo needs, or are of a great volume, this kind of goods shipping works well to provide efficacious cross Canada shipping.
Tumblr media
Dry vans and flatbeds are the most popular trailer types for full truck loads (FTL) but a logistics specialist like Focus West Logistics should assess your freight in case of unique conditions. Rail freight that is intermodal, Combining truck and rail (train) transportation results in intermodal rail freight shipping. A truck will almost always be required to assist with a rail shipment. The goods are transported by truck from the rail hub to its ultimate location. When transporting by train versus shipping by road, you can save money and time. Intermodal train transportation can be a cost-efficient, efficient, and environmentally friendly option when delivering big volumes of hazardous materials or high-volume containers.
Using the water to transport goods around the world is the most economical option. Up to 90% of all shipments worldwide are made up of goods that is shipped over the ocean. There are various container types and transport times available with Ocean Freight that take advantage of the most affordable shipping rates by sending a less-than-container load (LCL) or a full container load (FCL). With years of experience, the shipping experts at Focus West Logistics can assist with a wide range of items and offer global supply chain management services. Cargo can be carried to most places in North America thanks to the extensive railway networks in both the US and Canada. The greatest option for expedited delivery of your goods is air freight shipment. Our couriers can handle packages of any size and will get the delivery done fast.
Air freight shipping is the greatest option for transporting urgent goods on short notice, even though it is frequently more expensive than other ground transportation modes. It also delivers goods faster.

Shipping Methods from China to Canada
Air Freight: Air freight is the fastest method for China to Canada shipping. It is ideal for time-sensitive or high-value shipments. Several airlines and freight forwarders offer air cargo services between major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and Canadian cities such as Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. Air freight offers shorter transit times, typically ranging from a few days to a week. However, it can be relatively more expensive compared to other shipping methods.
Ocean Freight: Ocean freight is a cost-effective option for larger shipments that are less time-sensitive. It involves shipping goods by sea in either Full Container Load (FCL) or Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. Major Chinese ports like Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Ningbo are frequently used for shipments to Canadian ports like Vancouver, Montreal, and Halifax. Ocean freight has longer transit times, usually ranging from several weeks to a month, but it offers more economical rates compared to air freight.

FCL Sea Freight
FCL cargo refers to the cargo that can be filled with a large shipment. In sea container transportation, the most common full container load volumes are 20GP, 40GP and 40HQ. A 20GP can hold 30 cubic meters of goods, a 40GP can hold 65 cubic meters of goods, and a 40HQ can hold 75 cubic meters of goods.
Comparing with LCL and FCL shipping, the LCL company is responsible for the packing and unpacking of the LCL. While the FCL shipping is different. Known as full container load shipping, the FCLs container load shipping is usually packed and sealed by the shipper, and the consignee is responsible for unpacking and unloading. However, the consignor can also just send the goods to the container yard, and entrust a freight forwarder or a professional packing company for packing.
Realhong provides FCLs container service to Europe, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, India and Pakistan, the United States and Canada, Central and South America and Africa. Realhong full container load shipping ensures unique and customized solutions for different types of goods transportation.
 Sea FCl And LCL
The FCL full container of goods does not need to be loaded and unloaded together with other goods, thus saving transportation time, but transporting larger quantities of goods means finding and paying for more inventory space. For small loads (about 13 cubic meters or less), the whole cost may be higher.
Sealing the container in the factory means less handling and less chance of damage, but delivering a complete FCLs container means that you need equipment and personnel that can handle this work, which is not available in every factory.
Compared with FCL shipping rates, the unit price of LCL is higher. For larger shipments, you only need to pay the fixed fee for the FCL freight to save money. However, when transporting the FCL, the FCL freight delivery time will become more complicated because you will Large quantities of goods need to be processed within a smaller time frame.
What is the meaning of FCL in sea shipment?
A full container load, which is also called FCL, does not mean that the shipment is full of the entire container, it is a mode of transport in which only one container or part of a shipment.
There are several advantages to using FCL transport mode instead of LCL. One of the benefits is that it reduces the risk of damage or loss. Another great benefit of FCL shipments is faster shipping times.
There are several reasons for this. FCL shipping does not require integration and anti-colonization. In some cases, FCL may even be the cheapest model, for example, if traffic accounts for 75% of the smallest container.
