I know you sent me this before tonight's new episode but I GOTTA TELL YOU!

How much Aemond has been depressed at the brothel has been a legit surprise. I thought it would be one quick scene and that would be it? The fact that we got multiple moments and across different episodes was unexpected, more so when you consider his other possible reasons to be so sad. He doesn't even fucking mention Jaehaerys, what the fuck? He seems more bitter that Alicent blames him for what happened with Luke than actually depressed, as his conversation with Cole calling her a fool kinda confirms (for me.)

So, all in all, as an enjoyer of the unclefucker nephewife bridage I'm not even mad that they are really nailing in how much he regrets killing Luke. It's not even crumbles anymore, he's legit so miserable he has to go lay in someone's arms about it, while not even fucking?😭😭 He didn't even use to go to the brothel at all before, the only thing that changed between then and now is that Lucerys is no longer around. This is delicious doomed yearning to me. He goes to the brothel to let all his regrets and melancoly out, completely naked, while not putting his dick anywhere. Ohhhh Aemond Targaryen, the consequences of killing the fated husband you were meant to both love and hate truly are something else, huh?

As a side note, after seeing tonight's episode (and this is just me obviously watching with my insane medievalincest fucker goggles on and whatnot) I can't help with notice that Aemond has been so zooned out astral projecting himself into a reality where he didn't kill Luke, that he only started plotting and scheming against Aegon once he made fun of his super strange way to yearn and miss Luke 😭lmaaoooo more so when Aegon was being like "Oh you're here because she's sooo good you can't fuck anyone else?" but we know Aemond is not fucking anyone, he's there to...mourn his nephew, apparently? And then right after making fun of it Aegon gets melted into his armor. Curious indeed!

Plus how smug Aemond looks as soon as he finished killing not one but TWO family members? Quite the contrast of how he looked after killing Luke (and the following weeks being a sad boy at the brothel about it.) In my deluded but njoyable mind, almost everything Aemond has been doing so far this season is somehow haunted by Luke's existance, or rather by the lack of it. Truly a 10 course meal to me.

you mean when they are already at the hall and the kids are screaming and crying? i really don't think so. even if the velaryon boys and the twins had no intention of injuring or fighting aemond, he did get grievously wounded and that could not stand in any situation.

think of it like the incident with arya and joffrey in agot. a king's son got injured and the queen demands for justice, even when at this point the baratheons and the stark are in good terms and nobody suspects cersei of anything. we've said to death germ is not working precisely with historical accuracy but he is fairly right with the justice system, let's call it: and eye for an eye was pretty much how justice was done in medieval times. a thief would not be sent to jail but his hand would be cut off. simple in that way.

cersei demands for a wolf to be killed, the one who directly harmed joffrey in place of actually offending ned and demanding for arya's head (which she compensates with mycah the butcher's boy). it is serious. alicent doesn't have any compulsion to keep things friendly (like cersei who cannot go against robert who would never kill someone from ned's fam) and on top of this years and years of neglect from viserys and anger at rhaenyra have piled on. i'm NOT saying that it was right for alicent to ask for luke's eye but it's pretty standard and not as bad like say aerion asking for dunk's head when he punched him after breaking tanselle's fingers.

honestly, the best case scenario was how it actually ended. even if the kids all got seriously traumatized.

the only way to amicably resolve this is if alicent had gotten luke's eye, IMPOSSIBLE, but even then, it's a sort of empty victory and i know alicent would've hated it. and well, aemond is still disabled and now you got ANOTHER disabled kids with luke and a pot that is going to boil quicker now.

maybe we'd have to go further back and have aegon not bully aemond which would mean he doesn't have an inferiority complex or a dragon obsession that would cause him to seek vhagar and in the process gain too much confidence to take on 4 kids at the same time. or further back and not raise aegon with too many expectations that'd lead him to bully aemond. or further back..... you get what i'm saying.

sound of music staring governess!lucerys, captain!aemond and his brood. i usually prefer lcmd to be related, that’s half the fun, but for this au i just love love love the idea of lucerys attempting to find his path in life through faith. but his curious and yet stubborn nature proves to be too incompatible with it. so he’s tasked with looking after captain aemond’s children. omg.. i imagine if it’s the likes of aegon ii, halaena, jacerys, joffrey, rhaena, baela, vicerys ii, aegon iii. what a nightmare that would be. and to top it all off is aemond’s cold, authoritative personality.

but lucerys is anything but discouraged and comes to love the children as his own, and sees that their misbehaviour is a cry for love and attention, which he has plenty to offer. and he advocates for the children’s needs, especially beseeching captain aemond that what they need most is the love of their father.

despite the clash of lucerys’ and aemond’s personalities and nurturing styles, they slowly build a rapport and mutual respect for each other. and unbeknownst to lucerys, his vibrancy and unconditional love slowly begins to melt the captain’s heart who finds himself besotted with the little governess, despite the fact he is engaged to the baroness, alys.
