For a light overview on the aesthetics of the ceremony and dinner, check out our Pinterest board here!
Rowan’s look! (I neglected to add the white gloves they’re wearing-- pretend they’re there)
Hal’s look!
Key points of the ceremony itself:
Transportation is provided by Rowan-- a drone of theirs will visit each guest requiring transport, and provide a portal to pass through to the wedding area.
Decor for the seating area, altar, and arch is lavish but small, given the low guest count. It’s being held outdoors during a bright afternoon, in front of a lake surrounded by weeping willows. Primary colors are white and black, with generous accents of green and red.
Staffing is completely composed of drone robots, all of whom are expertly crafted and professional to a T. Each type of bot has a different uniform to identify their role.
Before the ceremony, there is a bar area where drinks are served to-order, minus any alcohol.
The ceremony itself is brief, and relatively untraditional. It’s at least based on a classic western-style wedding, but updated and adapted to suit Hal and Rowan’s tastes. The rabbot is the flower… bot, and their cat, Kichirou, is the (lovably distractible) ring-bearer.
After the knot is formally tied, evening starts to fall; candlelight and fireflies illuminate the area, although there doesn’t seem to be any other wildlife to speak of.
After-ceremony dinner:
The setting sun means it’s dinner time! The dining area is set up similarly to the seating around the wedding arch, but with twice the flowers and sleek, sophisticated decor. Each table is set up with four seats.
Hal’s robot, Nekobot, will be helping the waitstaff to take orders from each guest. Guests are asked to order whatever dish they might want, and Rowan’s multi-armed kitchen drones synthesize, prepare, and serve the dish with perfection. These drones work in an efficiently-prepared kitchen area just off of the dining tables, and their cooking is something of a spectacle itself.
Dessert is served in the same customized manner as dinner, but there is also a dessert bar, where an honestly ridiculous amount of treats prepared personally by Rowan await the guests. Anyone is free to take some of these home with them (and there are containers provided, of course).
After dinner:
Once dinner is concluded, guests are given the transport to either return to their homes, or attend the after-party/reception at an arcade.
But because this is their wedding, it’s not just ANY venue. The arcade in question is planet-wide and interdimensional, again staffed by Rowan’s drones and bought out for the evening. The entire business is empty save for the wedding party and Rowan’s bots.
After this point, guests are free to do as they like-- return home, play games, or just hang around and chit-chat.
If guests (or non-guests!) have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask myself or @di-stri-ai in IMs or our ask boxes! We’re happy to answer anything you might be wondering about, although we might have to collaborate on it first, lmao.
Please also feel free to thread with other muses at this setting!

“I would suggest a notebook pc, really. No messes to be made there, and typing is faster than writing.”
Blowing against the ink produced few results, other than to cause small ripples in the surface. As she should have known, ink adhered to the skin annoyingly well.
“Well, fuck. I’m sorry, I don’t think I’ll be able to accomplish anything like this. We’ll need to find some water, but I can at least catch the drips.”

@learningmagics He went from trying to see which of the new guards he could make laugh to- not that- in a breath. A fraction of a breath. It was always like that and honestly, normally, that was fine. He was used to picking up the punch line later anyway. He was even used to landing in the in-between, the nothing, the ‘missed mark’. It’d happened before and it’d left him feeling so fucking empty he hadn’t been able to sit still or stand the light or dark for two whole weeks after. Fucking horrible, yeah, but still familiar.
This was different. He left the cafeteria and found himself in the great big void, and then he felt a yank, some sharp pull, he pulled like being tugged into ice water and then-
Then 507 was in a library. There was a person there, too, short and dark-haired and...scarred? He blinked.
“What the fuck?” he asked at her. And then, louder and with more urgency and a flinch that had him stumbling a step over when he noticed what was standing next to him: “What the fuck?”

Going home
@learningmagics
Virgil sat back on his heels, ink smeared across the bridge of his nose as he appraised the circle that was drawn out before him. In the hundreds of experiments, attempts, trials, and failures, Virgil had taken every piece of information and weaved together what had worked, what had not. Countering the mishap runes, threading into sequence the symbols that resonated with home.
“It’s done,” he said finally, and a small smile actually appeared on his face, a tired, fragile thing, but a smile all the same. “This will bring us back.”
His eyes turned to Valhalla, who was sitting on the very edge, his bag in her lap and a bright grin on her lips. His gaze then turned to Abbie, his smile fading slightly as the situation settled upon his shoulders. The truth of it all.
“We need to give it a few minutes to partially dry, but then we need to go. According to what I’ve learned, it is more in-tuned when it is still damp, but not wet nor completely dry.”

@learningmagics || continued.
“You’re… Excuse me.” Abbie took a deep breath through her nose, out through her mouth. It never really helped to get angry. (It helped even less to tell herself that.) Count to ten, another deep breath. She didn’t look the sort to bristle at much of anything, but the wrong thing, the wrong day.
“Excuse me.” The look she gave was anything but amused. “But what even?”
     Sometimes it had to come to this, and Aveline was not proud with the fact that she had, once again, resorted to the easiest way to do it, instead of the most acceptable way. However, as she had said it aloud, she was not sorry. Time was of the essence and inwardly she tried to excuse herself with the reasons behind her act.
     In her hand was the sixth book, and she threw it right into the burning flame of the fireplace. Despite the other's interruption. Despite her burning glare and visible effort to stay calm.
     “I can’t explain right now, but you gotta trust me--” She ran toward the shelves again, reading the spines as fast as she could, pulled one book out, and jammed it back in, only to move to the next books-- “some of these need to disappear. Immediately.”

@learningmagics liked for a starter
HELLO.
The chat client that popped up on Abbie’s laptop had never been installed by her-- actually... it wasn’t a software that she’d ever even heard of before. A black window with garish lime green text greeted her, and an complex, unplaceable symbol bobbed slowly in the corner as the messages continued.
WOULD YOU LIKE A SNACK?

"I covered my hand in ink and, yeah…"
“And what exactly where you planning with that?”
Tumblr media
Her smile was a bit wry, the corner of her mouth twisted into a thoughtful point. Would air just make the ink dry and bleed into the skin, or could she actually get it off if she was careful?
“Here, hold them out and I’ll see how much I can do.”

holy shower
Annalise had a limited supply of holy water for various exorcisms that needed to be done now and again.  And she was careful with it, oh so careful.
Until she wasn’t, someone opened the door on her, scared and and whoops she spilled it all on the poor girl.  “Ah...  Shit.  M’bad.”

@learningmagics; for Quinn
Valhalla didn’t think she was supposed to leave the home that Abbie was so kind to let them stay in. It was a strange, fascinating new world, but all Valhalla had seen was the inside of a bookshop and every nook and cranny of Abbie’s apartment. She had gotten bored, and the sun was out and warm rays peeking in through the window and so she simply had let herself out.
The street eventually turned into another, then another, the blocks becoming rows of houses that grew closer and closer together. She was pretty sure she had successfully wandered back into the city, with the multitude of people and sounds and smells and everything.
Valhalla all but pressed her nose against the glass of a bakery, practically drooling over the sights of such strange pastries. They were so colorful! And all she had in the pockets of the strange pants that Abbie bought her were one of Virgil’s folded paper creatures and a few pretty pebbles she found along the way. Still, she was content in looking for now before reluctantly pulling herself away to peer in the next store’s windows, already forgetting about the pastries as she squatted down to watch a train go around and around in the window with rapt attention.
