Nile lechwe (Kobus megaceros)
These antelope live in the swamps of Ethiopia and South Sudan, eating grasses and wild rice. Many live in the Sudd, a huge swamp surrounding the southern portion of the Nile river, hence the species’ name. They are also sexually dimorphic; the males are considerably darker than females.

Kob society is complex and is organized around two types of social systems: sex-segregated herds and LEKS. (...) The other Kob antelopes also live in sex-segregated female and bachelor herds, although some Lechwe herds are cosexual.

thinking about jackalopes,
specifically the fact the it is a combination of the words jackrabbit and antelope but that they are physically depicted as a hare and a deer mix. how did you get that wrong twice? Should be called haer or dere or should look completely different. I suddenly need a biblicallly accurate jackalope drawing pronto.
