Breakfast at 7 ¾ - off from l’hotel du Nord à Montbrison at 8 55 – comfortable beds tho’ A- much bit and Eugenie said there were punaises in the house – I killed a mosquito last night and was not afterwards troubled - At 9 ¾ pass between 2 conical hills (distant tight and left) crowned with (right) church and (left) small remains of old castle-tower and walls - Extensive, light, whitish sandy plain – hill range all round – distant right - Boen tolerably largish, shabbyish, narrow streeted town on hill-side in pretty, viny  wooded valley, the clear shallow, widish little river Lignon winding at the bottom - Market day and the narrow streets full of people but no striking costume – good new road cut out of the rock just out of the town – very hot and dusty but not blinded as on Tuesday - road shaded with walnut and other trees, chiefly the former - beautiful narrowish winding valley beautifully shaped hills yellow with corn looking rather too yellow and arid -  St Thurin a  picturesquely situated goodish village – several workmen on the road as we came along – the road hardly finished – soon after leaving St T- turn (left) up narrower wooded fine fir-wood valley and montée for 35 minutes till 1 ½ - the road all up the mountain newly cut out of the granite rock - fine drive - at the top of the montée, the valley rather opens - then descend a while - nice little stream with us all along - the fir-woods began from St. Thurin – Noiretable [Noirétable], goodish small town – goodish-looking auberge at la Poste – A- had 2 boiled eggs and bread and butter and the servants bread and cheese and wine at ./75 par personne- then said it was trop bon marché but I would not pay more – judging from this and from the woman’s asking 1/50 par repos for the servants last night, offer these prices in future – but alight as seldom as possible – I take cold fowl for A- and let the servants have wine etc with them – 5 or 6 minutes out of Noiretable [Noirétable] changed horses because no horses or postilions at La Bergére – our new postilion said if I would pay for the rafraîchissement (to give what I pleased) he would drive me thro’ La Bergére to Thiors – I offered 10 sols per horse – no! but would do it for 1/. per horse= 4/ - declined this finding that I should not reach Clermont tonight, thought we might wait an hour at

Eté 2020

L’école est finie… La fin d’année à la crèche a été difficile car ca y est… nous quittons Estelle pour de bon. Estelle qui nous a suivi pendant plusieurs années. D’abord Adam pendant 1 an puis Keira pendant 2 ans…

Mais notre petite fille est devenue une grande fille et doit maintenant partir à la Maternelle. Et puis elle a de la chance. Elle va retrouver la maîtresse d’Adam, Valérie Michel

En juillet, nous restons tranquilles. Yvon vient nous faire le carrelage dehors après qu’un « carreleur » ait fait n’importe quoi sur les 1ers mètres carrés… Heureusement qu’il est là. La cabane du jardin avance bien. Nous avons aussi refait le toit et enlever toute l’amiante… Papa avait tout emballé dans du polyane comme du papier cadeau…

Et puis mon fils… comme d’hab tu n’écoutes personne… Un jour que tous les enfants étaient à la maison, tu as voulu faire la course dans l’allée avec Soan et tu t’es cassé le bras… C’était parti pour plusieurs semaines de plâtre.

Papi et Mamie vont aussi vous emmener à La Baule où vous allez passer un bon moment avec eux (temps pendant lequel papa et maman vont aussi souffler un peu).

Et début Août, c’est le départ en vacances pour nous 4. Pas de roadtrip écrit par papa cette année.

Mais en résumé, cela s’est mieux passé que l’année dernière 😉.

-        passage par Allos pour plusieurs jours. Nous arrivons épuisés et nous repartons reposés. Nous avons profité de ces quelques jours pour faire des balades en montagne (dont une vraiment très très dure). D’ailleurs mon fils, tu as réussi à finir cette balade. Sur les derniers mètres, nous devions passés un peu dans la boue. Et comme tu n’as pas voulu nous suivre, tu as glissé et tu es tombé le cul dedans (avec ton short de l’équipe de France). Keira, Maman, Papa ont explosé de rire mais toi tu étais vexé… Et puis ta sœur en rajoutait une couche en chantant « Qui est tombé dans le boue et qui est tout sale, et qui est tout sale et qui est tout sale !!! »

-        A Allos, nous allons aussi au plan d’eau mais malheureusement la baignade est fermée. Alors Keira, tu joues au sable pendant que ton frère cherche des partenaires de foot…

-        Après Allos, départ pour Avignon au Novotel avec Piscine ! Et là aussi ca aura été repos… Nous irons même plusieurs fois à la mer aux Saintes-Marie de la Mer et à la grande motte. Nous passerons une journée avec Béatrice, Cyril et Sacha…

-        Et aussi… Une petite journée au pont du Gard où vous en profitez, les enfants, pour vous baigner sous le pont.

-        Puis départ pour l’Ardèche pour profiter de la famille. Papi nous a rejoint pour 1 journée. Nous irons aussi nous baigner dans la rivière. Et pour une fois,  c’est maman qui ne veut pas repartir. Il fait chaud, l’eau est bonne et elle reste posée là, assise sur les cailloux.

-        Puis vient le temps du retour en passant par Clermont pour voir tonton ! Tout le monde dormira chez Pépé et Mémé de Lezoux !

Pour une fois, les vacances ont été reposantes. Beaucoup de voiture mais des petits trajets à chaque fois. Et aucune prise de tête. On a avancé jour après jour… Et nous rentrons frais pour entamer une nouvelle année !
