FINALLY, THE LAST HOURGLASS FUTURE MIKEY TIME LOOP FIC HAS ARRIVED!!!

Thanks to the cruel machinations of the Krang, Michelangelo loses two big brothers at once; one to corruption, and one to grief. It just takes one of them a little longer to catch up to his twin, but he always follows. Always. Mikey knows this, because he has lived too many versions of Donnie and Leo's deaths to keep track anymore.

Thinking some Thoughts about that Last Hourglass time loop fic….

Doing some rough sketches to figure out what Krangified!Peepaw Donatello looks like in I am haunted (by all the versions of you I could not save)

I think his scourger form overall resembles a big greyhound, but with a massively overgrown shell on the back covered in spikes and exposed bone, and various bits of Krang tendrils and metal cording hanging off of him. Plenty of eyes everywhere, too. The main feature is that whole pharyngeal jaw-type situation going on up front; his actual head is basically inside the throat, and the exoskeleton jaws are pretty much the unholy love child of a bear trap and a crocodile.

It remains to be seen how much of Uncle Tello’s mind remains intact once he’s been turned into this monster…

"I am haunted" is eating my brain alive, and I'm dying (sorry) to know: do you consider Leo's reactions in the fic to be better or worse than Donnie's would be if their positions were reversed and it was Donnie having to kill Leo? And if Donnie was the Last Girl of the twins, what would that mean/change for Mikey? (I promise I'm not trying to au your au, because I am being happily murdered by the angst of this fic exactly as it is, but that line in the summary about the twins always following each other has me by the fucking throat.)

If Donnie had been the one in that position, he would have trapped Scourger Leo's body somewhere, alive, to be dealt with at a later date - no way is he letting the Krang get the final say on Leo's fate - and then he would, with absolutely no regard to how many casualties and collateral damage it requires, ANNIHILATE the Krang. He would become a war criminal instantaneously. Leo is his impulse control, he would sooner punch a hole in the ozone layer than let the Krang think they've won by taking his brother and turning him into that thing.

Mikey would probably never be put into the position where the precise cocktail of panic, grief, and horror unlocks his Active Time Powers/splits George off of his Ninpo, because Donnie would not let himself get killed so ""easily"".

Donnie wouldn't care if it killed him doing so. He would do anything and everything it takes to wipe the Krang out. Maybe save his brother, if he can. If not, keep him alive as long as he can, Scourger Form be damned.

I finished Mikey's time loop fic a few hours ago and have been thinking nonstop about it (I'm sure you know how it goes) and I think there was something about Mikey never getting sick after the invasion? And after the most recent update in LH,,,

Has f!Mikey, Greatest Mystic the World has Ever Seen, been lowkey rewinding time on himself so that he never gets sick??? Just unbeknownst to himself?

........it will never not be funny to me when my readers make connections that I didn't even put in on purpose.

So y'know what? Yes. I'm gonna say yes, that's exactly what happened. Minor coughs and scrapes and stuff like that? Time warp it away. Why not.
