i just got home from work and immediately typed out a 1500 word story of my nerevarine coming back to the temple for the first time in years to yell at vivec about the fact that shes sensing something terrible coming (the oblivion crisis but they dont know that) and them both realizing that they both really cant do anything anymore (people think shes crazy and the ordinators are probably going to try and kill her for heresy, and vivec is completely mortal and bordering on being a prisoner in their own temple at this point) . and deciding that when the time comes vivec and nerevar need to be “killed” so that the dunmer formerly known as vivec, and Sleeps-In-Dust can be free of all the divinity and prophecy bullshit and deal with the consequences their own actions the same as the rest of morrowind.
fascinated enough by this concept that i was briefly possessed by the spirit of someone who writes things

what are the religious beliefs of your ocs? would they follow the beliefs from their species, the beliefs from the areas around the oblivion crisis, or something else entirely? -☢
xikeel: raised as a shadowscale, the hist and sithis are the two entities she honors. sithis takes some precedence.. unlike the dark brotherhood, shadowscales see sithis a lot less personified, but still more of a ‘god’ than most other argonians do. sees all other gods and daedra as just people with cheat codes.
ned: not religious, just has a list of gods he thinks are alright. likes yffre, mara, jone/jode, and will occasionally invoke them. is strongly of the opinion that gods dont innately deserve worship and expects relationships to gods to be mutually beneficial. ex-boethiah worshipper.
shap: honors the hist and sithis, though they arent considered gods. spirituality is important to him. contemplations/”worship” of sithis involves meditation and small rituals that are worked into a daily routine. doesnt really know or care anything about most other gods.
dusty: not that religious but was brought up around mostly imperials so has some casual belief in the imperial cult nine. is not a fan of gods in general by the time theyve been thru the whole nerevarine thing.
niv: follows the whole bosmeri pantheon, but isnt dogmatic. worshipped azura for a time (casual practice, not cult activity) but that kind of changed after dusty’s experience with the daedra
solvej: brought up following the traditional nordic pantheon. is not the most religious type, but believes in their value and wishes to understand them. drawn particularly to shor and kyne. also resents talos a LOT
kyle: joined the imperial cult after some monks adopted him and became a priest initially as a “fuck you” to his daedric origins. in spite of this, he doesnt like a lot of the nine and is a bad and naughty priest (though his belief is sincere) his charge is stendarr, and he likes kynareth, mara, dibella, and arkay. he HATES akatosh.
imril: parents were dunmer+bosmer refugees from mainland morrowind post red year, and still worshipped the tribunal (in spite of religious upheaval). imril took inspiration from almalexia’s depiction as protector/mother/warrior. wound up a worshipper/champion of meridia up until being given ‘pure’ vampire blood and being shunned by her god. completely abandoned religion after that
