anyway this is why, despite the fact that i firmly believe that dc has the better characters and the better stories and, for me at least, is the one that engages me more and that i'm the most emotionally invested in, marvel's the one that i'm currently even attempting to follow current continuity on, because i know they're doing fuckery with spiderman but doctor strange is my main marvel guy okay, and they brought clea back when she's my fave character of their's, and jed mackay is a good writer who both likes and understands these characters, so i'm really only interested in modern doctor strange and refusing to even look too closely at dc's current train wreck beyond what my mutuals are telling me is happening

#personal #when i tell you that i was about to reread nightwing secret files (for like the tenth time)#and then i saw tumblr user damianbugs's recap of the current zur en arr fuckery and fully exited out of the nightwing window #cuz i was too annoyed to even attempt to read a dc property without making myself mad #and yes i still haven't caught up at all with doctor strange 2023 so i might prove myself wrong on liking it once i start it again #but i loved death of doctor strange and strange 2022 and jed seems to really enjoy these characters #like idk i like dc more so it disappoints me more and at least marvel is giving me something #the only thing i've been reading when it comes to dc is old comics or fucking elseworlds stories #like the doom that came to gotham or specific earth 3 stuff or fucking wayne family adventures
