Nora’s Thoughts
“Ooh!  I think they’re getting closer!”
“Nora, I think that’s quite enough.”
“Oh shush Renny!  This is super exciting, you saw the way that Jaune was  looking at Pyrrha when they left! THIS HAS TO BE IT!”
“Has to be what, exactly?”
For the first time in the last 20 minutes, Nora finally pried herself away from the door.  Her turquoise gaze descending upon the new inclusion to their family unite.  “Oooh!  I can’t WAIT to tell you!”  Dimples formed at the upward curvature of her lips, a grin soon shifting into a full blown smile.
“Well you see!”
Oscar flinched as Nora gleefully appeared before him in an instant.  To make matters far worse, she didn’t give him the time to collect himself, her hands held tightly against his shoulders.
“Pyrrha and Jaune have been eyeing each other something fierce over these last few months!”
Despite the younger boy’s mouth opening and closing a few times, something Nora took note of right away, she continued anyway.  “So!  Ren and I have been secretly hatching a plan, trying to get the two of them together!  And now!  Now it’s all coming to fruition!”
Knowing when enough was enough, she didn’t want to frighten their new younger sibling for life after all, Nora took the chance to bounce back.  Her energy practically sparking, electrifying the little room that could honestly not contain her full shocking force.
In the meantime, with her attention completely drawn to the door, she missed the small conversation between her two brothers.
“What does she mean?”  Poor little Oscar was a bit too long to get the ‘hidden’ lingo within Nora’s mixed sloppily spoken words.
To his surprise, Ren smiled, “She’s simply excited, you’ll get used to it.”
“Renny!  Renny!  I think they’re getting closer!  I can practically feel it in my bones!”  Her hair nearly stood on end, little bits of electricity coursing through her scattered marks.
“I wouldn’t get too close to her right now though.”
“Okay… but what did she mean by the other two, Pyrrha and Jaune, eyeing one another?”
“Ah right.”  Ren gave a sagely nod, “You’re a bit younger than us so I suppose you wouldn’t really know.  For a while now both Jaune and Pyrrha have gotten.”  Ren tried to choose his words carefully, “Close.”  That would suffice.
“But I stil-”
“Both of you Shush!  I think tha-”
Before Nora could continue the knob turned, her eyes popped open and in a streak of pink bolts of lightning she was already on her bed.  “Okay, no one say a word.”  Despite her statement, she could hardly hold back, her legs practically jolting up and down full of life and excitement.
But to her surprise, she couldn’t find the right words nor the noise to express the pure amount of joy she felt as the door suddenly tilted open.  She could practically feel her eyes rolling out of her head.  Her pulse grew quick as her heart nearly tore from within her chest.  In front of her was the thing she’d wanted and waited for for so long!
“Hey guys.”
Jaune spoke first, an adorable tinted red blush streaked across his soft cheeks.  That though wasn’t what caught everyone’s attention.  No, all three sets of eyes focused on his hands.  Or rather, on both his and Pyrrha’s hands, which were now tightly knit together, fingers intertwined and palms held closely together.
“So.”  Pyrrha continued for him, though if Nora’s grin was anything to indicate, they all had a pretty good idea on what transpired.  “We’re together-together now.”
Thankfully Nora didn’t give either of them the time to feel embarrassed, like a train set on full course she slammed forward knocking into the duo and sending them flying out of the open door.  Three colors of auras flared as they bumped into the floor, loud “Oofs!”  Came from all around, but it wasn’t enough to stop the bombastic orange haired member of their little familial group to tightly squeeze them.
“No-Nora!  Can’t breathe!”
She ignored Jaune’s cries of pained surrender, “I’m so happy!  I’m so happy!”  Tears of joy blinded her vision, stinging her eyes as she shut them tight.  “Together!  You two are together!”
“Nora?”
The girl continued to ignore them, even as Pyrrha’s confused words reached her ears.  “We can all be together forever now!”
Ren took a step up, approaching the confused duo, though he himself only sort of understood what she meant.  Of course, neither Pyrrha nor Jaune could really get why Nora was acting this way, so it was up to him to answer for his bubbly sister.
“Ren?”
Thankfully, both of them had been emotionally open enough to catch the hidden meaning, or at least a hint of it.
“Sh- no we are grateful, for so many things.”  The young man, in a rare instance of openness, began to pour out his heart, “You two being together.”  He paused again trying to find just the right words to use.  “It means a lot to us, to see two of the people we care so much about, being happy?”  That was part of the reason, Nora nodded along with her brother's words.
Through tear stained clothes, both Pyrrha and Jaune held onto Nora, their arms holding the smaller girl closer and tighter to them.  It didn’t take long for Ren to join in, the young man feeling positively entranced by the interaction.
“And!  And!”  Nora tried to force words through soft hiccups, “Pyrrha, you- you won’t leave us now!”
“What?  Nora!”  The redhead gasped, surprised by the statement, “I would never leave you all.”
“But, one day you might!  But you won’t if your family.”
Nora wasn’t great with words, she oftentimes expressed herself with actions and energetic displays of affection.  So she found it hard to get out the words she wanted, to express all of the fears that she had of this little group, this family within a family that she’d formed, would one day just break apart.  “Please, please.”  A soft hiccup formed and escaped her throat.  “I don’t want to say goodbye.”
She could feel the gears turning and finally grinding to a sudden halt as Jaune and Pyrrha now understood what really bothered her.  “Oh Nora.”  Their hug grew tighter till the four of them were a simple mishmash of different colored bodies.
There was a pause, a pained silence hung over them, that was till everyone shuffled and Pyrrha placed her head atop her best friend's head.
“I promise, we’ll always be together.”  Though Pyrrha was the one that said it, she couldn’t stop herself from continuing, “After all, an Arc never goes back on their word.”
Nora knew that Pyrrha wasn’t an Arc by blood, but she was practically family, so it meant just as much.
So she repeated, “An Arc never goes back on their word.”
As for poor Oscar, he could only watch this strange familial thing happening in front of him.  Though he felt out of it, there was something heartwarming about watching people who care about one another so much.  He was lost, confused, and unsure of what to do.  That was till he made eye contact with the blonde boy, Jaune.
To his surprise the older boy gave him a warm smile and beckoned him over.  Slowly, and with unsure steps, he made his way over, joining the pile.  Maybe, joining this family was a good thing.
