Red Life Iskall in limited life for @shepscapades hermitdesign challenge! this weeks theme was non life series hermit as a red life :D Mixing some of my favorite series: The life series, Hermitcraft and iskalls single player vaulthunters

I knew i had to draw iskall me blorbo. I imagine that he would go into the game having fun on his mind and doesnt even mind the first few deaths - maybe he even had some silly ones. I imagine in the beginning he teams up with the clockers or the nosey neighbors, but the more time he loses the more paranoid he becomes. It reminds him of running vaults and the fact, that the time runs out in the corner of his eyes and that they are stuck inside the small border makes him wonder if this is a task by the vault gods to test their favorite. So when he finds a totem of undying while looting the bad boys chests, he thinks its a sign from Idona, reminding him, that killing people with give him strength - but he fears their wrath being conflicted what to do. maybe he gets permakilled by his former arcitect buddy grian idk but i llike the concept of red life iskall not knowing where limited life starts and where his well known vault ends. And of course as a red life he has a ripped shirt okay also giving him, of course, the heart monitor i always give my traffic life members hehehe

Crack for Cletho "Stop setting things on fire because you're curious what will happen. What will happen is fire." "But what if something different happens?" 'Street' Life AU (exists in the same universe as the Jimmy/Mumbo Street Life fic but Cleo and Etho work at uni)

Cleo groaned at the message they just received from Etho. He said there's another emergency in the chemistry lab and he needs their help. She's sure he doesn't actually need it, but why not see what's up? Plus, the lab isn't too far from the library. "Etho? What's up?" Cleo pushed the door open to the lab. "Cleo- oh, you know. Just a little hot in here." Etho was standing in the far corner of the lab. "Something's on fire, isn't it?" "What gave you that impression?" Something was very obviously on fire, but likely not a very big fire since Etho wasn't panicky about it. Though, Cleo didn't understand why this was an emergency that had to involve her. They rolled their eyes and took the fire extinguisher by the door over to Etho. It was a small fire, as expected, and she annoyingly put it out. "What's wrong in that head of yours?" They asked after putting the extinguisher back. "I was curious." Etho answered with a shrug. Etho adjusted his face mask and Cleo pinched the bridge of their nose. "Stop setting things on fire because you're curious what will happen. What will happen is fire." She scolded him. "But what if something different happens?" "Nothing different will happen, Etho! You're a chemistry teacher, you know this! I don't know how you got this job sometimes." Cleo sighed and Etho just let out a chuckle. "I'm good at my job." "You're so lucky there's no students in here. You're a terrible influence!" "My students love me. They say I'm the cool teacher." Etho admitted proudly. "You're as immature as the students." Cleo rolled her eyes again. "That shouldn't come off as a surprise considering we're only a bit older than the majority of students in this school." "It is not a good thing! You're supposed to set an example." "I am setting an example!" He argued. "What example? How to get fired?" "How to be cool and educational!" Etho laughed. "You are so awful. You are one of the worst people I've had the displeasure of meeting and I'm a librarian at a massive university!" They couldn't help but laugh as well. "You're so mean to me. Sometimes, I think you don't even love me." He fake pouted. "What gave you the impression I loved you in the first place?" Cleo put on her best poker face. "Wh- The fact we are married? We adopted two kids together? You said you do!?" Etho sputtered out. Cleo broke out into laughter and after a moment Etho did too. They laughed together for a few minutes in the empty classroom. Well, mostly empty.

LIMITED LIFE AU (SPOILERS FOR THE BEGINNING OF GRIAN’S NEW EPISODE):

So Joel and Grian both end up dying, and Jimmy legitimately feels like he’s being pranked. So, in this AU, Limited Life takes place in a bustling city filled with gangs and Mafia Members. Joel, Grian, and Jimmy are obviously in a gang or mafia together, and somehow (whether indirectly or directly) Jimmy manages to get the two of them killed. Be he can’t accept it. No. They were his brothers, the few people who understood him when no one else could. He spirals into a deep pit of denial. They couldn’t be dead. They had survived much worse than this. This was a prank, a twisted joke.

But it truly wasn’t. Jimmy got his closest friends murdered because of his incompetence.

The two are falling through an abyss of starlight and mist. A realm between time and space. Each loop Jimmy keeps getting closer to catching Martyn; however, they both wake up before this can happen.

But even when Jimmy has help, it seems like the world wants to keep everyone apart. Everyone isolated. Everyone stuck.

Next drawings I post about the AU will be more focused on Jim and Martyn separately (their separate adventures and just tidbits about how the loop affects them).

AU summary:

Martyn finds himself trapped within a timeloop after winning Limited Life. By proxy, Jimmy is dragged into the loop as well (either by his bad luck or the Listeners needing his aid). The two have to work together in order to save themselves and the rest of their friends.

A favor returned

It's a beautiful morning and Cleo could imagine birds would sing their heart out if she hadn't been in the middle of the town. But listening to the water bubble in the kettle and the footsteps of Bdubs running around upstairs was honestly so much better. It reminded her that she wasn't alone. She hasn't been for quite some time now, but it was nice to be reminded every now and then.

With tea in her hands she thought about the day she had ahead of her. She needed to finish up the grandfather clock, mostly the finer details being left on it. She needed to check up on Bdubs and how his practicing was going, maybe even teach him an new spell if he had been making progress. Today was also Scar's off day which meant he was likely going to hang around the bakery, meaning she could ask him to pick up some new loafs. She smiles and has to hold back laughter when she hears two loud thumps followed by shouting from her boys.

Yeah, her life wasn't empty anymore.

So basically the characters from Limited Life but they're just... People.

Like, you still have the Clockers, but they're just a single mum and her two sons.

You have the Bad Boys, but they're just a guy, his brother and his son who could (read: think they could) take anyone in a fight.

You have T.I.E.S but they're just four brothers who were wild in their youth, but have settled and now they live together.

You have the Nosy Neighbours but they're just two best friends living together because she didn't want to live with her dad anymore and he had a spare room.

You have the Mean Gills but they're just Those Gays who are a little too in everyone's face (originally meant to say Those Guys but brain-keyboard filter did not work and I think that fits them)

You have them all, but they're not trying to murder each other. They're just people living in a small town.

introducing: my Limited Life Beachside High School AU (jazz hands)

context: my friend was in their schools production of high school musical, so we watched it together the week after the show, around the time limited life ended and i started Thinking and getting Ideas Basically: Uses clique system from high school musical, for those who are unfamiliar, that's: Nerds, Sportsball, Theater Kids, and Skaters. i think the groups are all pretty self explanatory. (Also in my au they are less rigid/strict about cliques, basically people might slightly judge or tease you if you do something outside your clique, but they wont freak out and burst into song about it.) Their highschool, Saturn High (fuck off I know its pretentious) is located rly close to the beach in california (sorry). they go to the beach a lot & thats how the weather usually is. Contains limited life groups + some others for funsies. teachers are purely Plot Devices & dont represent anyone.

Some people might find it a bit ridiculous that I use fountain pens and nice notebooks to write fanfic, and…y’know what, it is a bit.

But it’s my writing process and I put just as much effort into my fanfic as I do my original fiction. It just all works better if it comes from my brain to physical ink and then to digital.

(Anyway I mostly finished the Darkfiber AU story on vacation which means now I get to type it up and Red and I can work editing magic on it. No idea how long that will take though. Send asks for motivation?)
