whyyy were so many groups so skrunkly in this session. cleo sternly telling bdubs to go inside when the bad boys started chasing after him. scott letting martyn kill him. tango letting skizz (his punching bag of a teammate <3) kill him. scott's "i love you, say it back" at jimmy. grian trying to bully jimmy out of the bad boys, asking for joel's opinion, and joel quietly saying that he thinks jimmy is alright because they bonded really well last session before quickly changing the subject to something else. the nosy neighbors generally being menaces to specifically jimmy's mental health. and the watchers were really skrunkly at the end of martyn's video there too, i guess! ❤️

One by one, friends and enemies alike drop like flies. All with a shadow over them. All murdered.

All for a little extra time.

They hunt, they lie in wait, they turn on each other… for just a little time.

Not Skizz.

Never Skizz.

Life's too short. Too beautiful. Cherish every second, for any second time could be stolen from you.

Too much has already been stolen.

He carries the weight with a smile, distracts himself with skynet, funnels his obsession into destruction of property.

Tries not to think about his axe in others' backs.

Everyone on yellow. Everyone safe. Everyone equal.

Not equal; not when Skizz is slowly ticking closer to red more quickly than others. Not when his itch to kill is growing stronger every tick.

Impulse is your friend, he tells himself multiple times a day. Tango and Etho are friends. If anyone needs to die, it's Scar.

Even that sounds too harsh.

Even that tastes sickly sweet and delicious.

He stays on skynet; no dangerous, murderous weapons or tools nearby. No victims nearby. He promises himself, as long as he's yellow, despair won't claim him. His inventory is peaceful, his intentions pure.

What will despair do once time starts to run out and he turns red?

So he works and distracts himself, while time eats him alive.

im gonna be honest, i was a little confused when martyn said that during 3rd life, back when he barely knew any of the hermits, he kept editing scar to be really intimidating and scary because he thought scar was really intimidating and scary. i didn't think he was that frightening during 3rd Life. intimidating, yes, a little menacing, sure, but i felt like he was more of a menace than he was menacing.

i implore you to watch martyn's session 4, or, if you don't have time, just watch the bits right after martyn kills scar, because my god. i don't think ive ever heard scar sound so genuinely* annoyed, and even though it was only for a few moments, it sounded terrifying? like there was real fear in martyn's voice and it was completely understandable, jesus christ. i feel like it was one of those moments where im thanking every higher power that martyn was yellow, because i think scar would have torn his head from his shoulders in that exact moment if he was green or scar was red. lord.

*disclaimer: genuinely meaning "genuinely in an /rp sense," not "genuinely mad at martyn irl for killing him." he sounded mad, yes, but it was obviously just for the drama!
